Stewart your DIY channel is definitely the best on utube there's something special about you you have an amazing talent from your idea's to building the projects, brilliant trellis Stewart can't wait to see speedy in your next garden project.
I bought the Titan 1400bar pressure washer recently. Years of paint splashes on my patio were removed in a matter of seconds (as was a fair chunk of my grouting oops!). Great fun to use as well. Couldn’t believe how dirty the sandstone had gotten.
Another great video. Just to say I think the little bit of kindness to "speedy" the snail is very good @10:30. Respect for our wild cousins when doing DIY or Gardening (no matter how big or small the creature) is a great thing to remember!
The trellises look really nice, and now it feels really doable, so thank you for that. I'm super excited to follow this series as I'm starting a veg garden myself this year. I spied some kale on your seedling shelves, so I'm hoping we might get a video on making beds with protective covers for brassicas - I tried growing some in the autumn but it all ended up feeding the local pigeons. I'm glad it wasn't wasted but I want to keep it for me this season!
Like everyone here I am a big fan of your films... Reason for this post is the my purchasing the Vaunt Mitre Saw Station.. I have wanted something like this for a while and when I copped what you had there I was onto ITS ASAP. I set it up today with my trusty Evolution miter saw and it is fantastic. Please keep up the great work...
So so like your videos even more so your garden ones. So this week end I'm going to give the trellis a bash for my self. I know girls are supposed to pain there nails not the trellis but hey. Your videos give people new thoughts new ideas and new skills ,, and I've even treat my self to a new drill from ITS I'm starting to feel like a pro now. Keep the videos coming they give people a lot more confidence and skills 👍😉👍
I'm so glad you are enjoying them and they are giving you ideas. That I think is really good - not necessarily to copy everything I do but to pick up bits and tips that you can then apply to your own situation - good stuff!

Great video Stuart! I would have just fixed the trellis to the wall, but your idea is much better as it avoids damage to the wall and can be move away easily for cleaning! Excellent! Looking forward to more appearances from Speedy as well! 😀
Nice videos, I learn alot of stuff watching you. I make trellises from cutting up the big long pallets into strips and then use the nail gun. (Only have one because I'm a gardener)Also the strips can be used to replace the top bit on fence panels when rotten but needs a chamfer edge with router.
Nice job Stuart! Another super job, I did click the thumbs up button despite initially having pressed the wrong button! Always look forward to your videos, keep up the good work!
Amazing video i could not agree more about these stand i use the Evolution Range keep up the great work me myself being ill health you make some of the harder jobs but in a easier way is amazing thank you sir
Sorry, he is in great demand now and just signed a contract with someone else which I'm afraid will mean you will see less of him on this channel. I can't compete with ITV wages!
i’m making trellises today and i did wonder if you were staining or painting since you didn’t do either before cutting the lumber…😂…i’m making a grid design too…wanted to see any helpful tips, thanks for the video. i’ve now subscribed, i’m sure i’ll enjoy this channel.
You’re right, paint the lengths of timber before cutting/assembly then after assembly paint the cut edges also sty your saw up on the lawn and you won’t have to sweep the paving afterwards … … and it’s way quicker to use annular ring nails and plenty strong enough!
You will find that you will need to feed the planters regularly throughout the summer. I found that my planted Honeysuckle didnt flower at all and I put it down to the exhausting of nutrients in the compost I used in the planter, that and the planter might be too small now for the root ball as it grows to take up the space really quickly..Any ideas on why it didnt flower?
I'm pretty sure Speedy's homeless mates won't be welcome later in the spring however, once all those freshly planted out lettuce plants are turned to just stumps over night
You are defoo an entertainer, I dont agree with everything you do but your better than much of the competition on RUclips - and you deserve the ongoing success
Hi Stewart. Really enjoy your channel. How would you rate your Vaunt Saw Horses? Anything you don’t like about them? What is the width of them, the ITS website has some “questionable” dimensions for them. Thanks.
Hi Stuart How’s things mate …. Great video, that paint you use is the best on the market, I use it all the time they also have a great selection of colours too that’s if you’re adventurous, also mate from your last video your lawn is looking a lot more greener have you give it a bit of fertiliser or is it just natural. Either way it’s looking good for this time of year 👍👍👍👍
painting trellis after assembly, oh so been there and learned that lesson ! Would have been appreciated if you'd listed the source of the timber - I have struggled to find timber that makes it economic to build own trellis work compared to buying a premade trellis and modifying that instead of scratch building
Used the cuprinol shades on a planter I made about three years ago I used untreated CLS timber. I gave it three coats of the “shades” and it still looks really good and none of the joints show any signs of opening up!

You need a nice weeping Wisteria to grow up the side of that blank cream wall of your house - now thats a nice sized trellis Id like to see you make and fit!
I would have painted all the battens first, cut them up to suit and then screw together this make touching in the ends and screw holes is only job left but I am sure you realise that now - Nice job though Stuart
Love your videos Stuart! Your choice of music is very curious. I'm out of touch with today's music and some of the whiny squeeky electronic sounds are unrecognizable as music to me. I would rather hear my table saw (almost).

Thank you so much 😀 Although I plan my videos beforehand, I never expected a snail to feature in one of them.
As a professional gardener, i totally agreed with your car analogy, it truly is a thing of beauty, and the video really made me chuckle 😅
Hi Stewart! Im watching your videos for a couple of weeks and everyone is very educational!
Thanks!

Great job my friend I admire your confidence painting over the flags 👍👍

Hi Stewart bit of a random one but what colour is your gate/fence please? Great videos by the way. Thanks!
Brilliant videos, like your methodical approach. Which mitre saw stand is that you’re using?

Hi Stewart. Really enjoy your channel. How would you rate your Vaunt Saw Horses? Anything you don’t like about them? What is the width of them, the ITS website has some “questionable” dimensions for them. Thanks.
How did you work out the spacing between the horizontal pieces for the trellis please? Or how many horizontal pieces you needed?
I measured the spacing between the vertical pieces and just cut a spacer to the same length
That house is massive, what part of UK is this in?
I always like a new/different idea... I've never see trellis fastened to the pot before, as opposed to the wall...
Me in 2024😅Stuart brilliant as always😊
looking at your video about your out side lights would you not use a dusk to dawn switch ?
Is there a video on how you made your planting up table?
That would be of real interest.
Have a look at "How to Build a BBQ Cart". The actual planting up table is not specifically detailed, but you get to the idea
Yes, it's a BBQ that doubles up as a potting table...ruclips.net/video/18BDXNooE-Q/видео.html

I agree - I'll have to try other colours. No fertiliser put on the grass yet - I think just long and well watered from the rain
Think it have shimmed the trellis rather than cut the planter (or put the trellis on the inside?)
painting trellis after assembly, oh so been there and learned that lesson !
Would have been appreciated if you'd listed the source of the timber - I have struggled to find timber that makes it economic to build own trellis work compared to buying a premade trellis and modifying that instead of scratch building
B&Q - about £3.50'ish a length - £10'ish per trellis
Have you got a video on how you made your planters? They are fab 😄

I’m confident old Speedy was keen to get away from the beady eyes of Mr Crow and his crew.

Yes you should have painted the wood first, and use a nail gun to hold the wood together, much cheaper than screws and quicker to put together.
'Cheaper than screws'? I first have to spend at least £100 on a nail gun - doesn't sound very cheap to me
I’d like to see you build a pergola with roof

Thanks. I have always played a lot of music - from classical to punk so I'm happy to listen and use everything
First again, how cool am I 😎😎😎
Yes you are! Next time you'll have to watch it as well!
Perhaps water your seed trays before you add the seeds then you dont wash them away!!
Maybe You should have put wheels on the planters as it would of been easier to move
As I only move them about once a year I really don't feel the need to spend money on wheels
Love the vids but take them gloves off makes working with screws etc a night mere gloves are for ground workers
Doesn’t seem to have an issue and doesn’t want to get splinters or get his hands dirty.
