Never had a problem with mine overheating... Well I guess if you want to use it in 106 degree weather best to get a camera with a built in fan. I use mine in 80 degree weather and in studio and never had it overheat on me. Thanks for the vids.
Hmmmm that really stinks!! I think a lot of cameras these days are lacking in heat sink specs!!! My guess is a fan cooled camera would still perform at 106° but for how much longer?? I know my a7iv's would die in about 2-3 minutes also!!! That is why I have AC in my studio now!!! ha ha
I have not used that one, but I have the R5 and after the last firmware update I ironically can't get it to overheat. Even shooting 8K. That's why these "overheating" cameras that don't feel hot really make question things.
Ug, mine just overheated in 78f weather in direct sunlight but facing away from the sun. Was just composing the shot for 5 minutes, did not actually take a shot yet. Just put some shade set up around it and waiting for it to cool down. What if I was just walking around in sunlight with it around my neck on a vacation or something?
What exact SD card are you using (i.e. brand, model and size)? Is the card super hot when you take it out? Have you recently low-level formatted the card?
@@babybackmaniacleftovers Do you want help to rule out problems or not? There are reasons why cards which are almost full or haven’t been low-level formatted can become less efficient and produce more heat
I haven’t tested my new Fuji X-S20 in the high heat other than wildlife photos. I’m glad I can buy a fan if I need to. I was considering this one for the great price.

like i said, sony fx30 (with fan) has same operating temps
@@babybackmaniacleftovers I think you need to test that operating temp!!! Plus join the Dark Side of the Force!!! ha ha
a big disappointment on this camera. i just bought a cnon r8 and try to use it in our event,, it suddent shut down,, the over heating issue is real,

when you get a chance, watch the video I just posted like two minutes ago. if you thought Canon was weird before. This is going to blow your mind.
Great vid, thanks for doing the follow up. Have you tried R6 mark II? The R6 ii supposed to have mess overheating issues.

No overheating in direct sunlight when It's 108f out, on 4k30. Shot in the desert all day yesterday 👍
That crazy to me. I'm pretty sure mine would overheat eventually just by leaving it on (not recording).
Happy for you though!

Sandisk extreme pro. Same one I've used in it for the 10 or so other videos on this channel. Its not the card.

@@EverythingCameFromNothing I’ve low level formatted it. iim appreciative of the suggestion. im just telling you thats not it.
Oh Noo…i love canon 90D😂😂😂

its a great camera other than this…and battery life
@@babybackmaniacleftovers yes. I’ve seen that you can use a 3rd party battery pack made for the RP with it from a wildlife shooter.
wow!
maybe mine is a dud!
So much plastic, looks like a fisher price camera for kids
