I think the biggest mistake Ford made with the Falcon is welding the cowl on instead of bolting it.Sometimes you have to cut all the welds to remove it.
Anytime a car has sat or been stored for a long time, it will have mice nests. Mine had 3. One I only found because I had to cut open an area and surprise ! Another nest . Good job.
excellent work. Glad to see you have the appropriate face mask for your work and for going to the grocery store! Like the little life lesson about the virus and mental health. Keep up the good work girl.
The cowl in the Falcon I owned was forever catching leaves and pine tags. If you can figure out how in install a screen or some other method for reducing the clutter, it will save you future cleanings.
Very good use of that inner frame coating. Really makes a huge difference. My 62 sedan had a rusted cowl. Not a fun repair. Luckily my 63 wagon was in a wide open field and didn’t collect debris so no issues. I think I’m gonna get some of that and paint my cowl now. Love the progress.
The coating you're using reminds me of the do it yourself kits that were available in late seventies and early eighties, after the dealership did a poor job on Dad's new truck he went through it himself with one of these kits.
Hey ellie check out iron trap garage and hagerty. They may not be working on a falcon but they are great at instructional and might help you and your dad.

I think is welded by points, but you have to take out the front glass to unweld.
