This is the best iOS music news I have heard in years. Gadget has been my favorite from the early days and auv3 has always been a dream, but they did more than that, the new chord and arps, the new sampler gadget, the 8 band eq and transient shaper….. damn I think I will switch back to Gadget as my main iPad DAW now, just because I love how easy and stable it is, plus the UI looks so pretty.
I just wish there was a way to resample inside gadget, like the way koala sampler does with a basic audio editor. And if it supported AUv3 fx it would be my main daw. Actually there are some very good FX in Gagdet but a lot of them are only available within the instruments - like the tape fx in Sydney are nice.
@@soundformore yeah I understand. I was hoping for a way to record directly into a sampler within gadget! But I’ll do a bit of exploring! Any experience with gadget on mac?
It's so funny that you released this video today cause I needed some information about exactly this one...cause I bought gadget yesterday and like to find out which iap is useful for me. Thank you
@@soundformore Yes, I use Gadget and Auria Pro, Cubasis, Zenbeats, Audio Evolution, AUM, apeMatrix, Bestmaker 3, Bam, Remixlive, Drambo, LoopyPro, etc. But my favourite is Logic Pro.
@@soundformore I’m sure they will soon, I noticed that your subscriber numbers are starting to climb, long may it continue! Am I right in thinking that there are 40 free gadgets included? Are the two new gadgets, Sydney and Santa Ana also included or are they IAPs?
@mpfmax0 they are not that big, for example when you import a sample in sydney from audio share sometimes it doesn’t allow you to select it but you can import from any folder anyway so you get around that, I noticed if you try to replace a gadget and you search in the selection screen the filter search doesn’t allow you to select the gadget but you can select the gadget manually without searching… they are not major bugs that I found so far… with Sant Ana I once had to restart Gadget to get it to work again but if happened only once…
@@soundformore nice, seems like nothing too bad. Gadget is usually very well coded and stable, but there are small bugs that slip through on big updates and I had an unfortunate experience with that before, because Korg takes months to patch/update, at least their customer service was very nice. Thanks for the info, I will update cuz I can’t really wait to test the new stuff 😊 , then I will report any bugs as usual.
Also BiLbao has groups and FX send that Sydney doesn’t, Sydney has many effects alongside Lofi that the others do not have… but is that enough as differences?
They forgot to copy the best parts of the Vancouver sampler, the ability to scroll through the sample directory from the GUI. Choke groups would have been appreciated. The grey texture makes it looks like a free VST from 2008, and don't get me started on the red monstrosity that is Santa Anna.
Great they’re available as AUv3’s now but I’ve always found the random names of the gadgets unhelpful and the gimmicky nature of the interface very unappealing & off putting. Also what comes with G3 and what’s additional purchases is also confusing. I’ll look forward to the ARP and the other more classic synths converting
@@soundformore Yeah it’s great news for many and is optimistic for their classic synth apps. But take Sydney for example, why only 6 slots not 8 and why would you pay 9.99 when you could just use their London Gadget (comes with G3) with 8 slots? Or just buy something like Drambo or a an iOS drum machine? 🤷♂️I don’t get it but that probably just means I need to spend more time using it rather than offloading it like I did when it was G2
If this was an effect and you could sample directly I’d buy it no question. I’ve never understood how many “samplers” appear oblivious to this option. Still, Korg appear to be getting there, albeit rather slowly
I have a of topic question about the routing inside of Gadget. Is it possible to route, for example Sidney, into Rosario? If yes, how😅? Can't find a video which explain this properly
@@soundformore thanks for clarifying this. I still wonder what's the use of Rosario if I can't route a synth into it!? Only play with external gear directly into Gadget... 🤔 It's a pity!
Why is Apple so privileged from developers in making their stuff working better on all their devices? Even their phones have plugins. Why doesn't Android have a plugin support? Some DAWs and plugins are of better quality for iOS than for their Windows counterparts. That's not fair, right?
Bought Syney and must say that it is a waste of money. The time stretch algo is next to akai force the worst i ever heard. And a looper with no Recording functionality?! Common

Someone is happy :)
KORG indeed strikes back with this massive update of Gadget.🎉
So many updates after Logic Pro, N-Track, Cubasis, Gadget…
Great to have Korg back!
Yes indeed
Korg Gadget is back baby!
Yeah…
I lost my mind when i saw the KG3 and Auv3 included. My fave sounds are in Korg and now Logic Pro iPad is even better with Korg :)
Yay…
Thanks Leo for another helpful video.
No problem

100% agree, Korg can be closed with Gadget but there has been movement this time… 🥳
Great demo Leo - such a good app. Thank you & thumbs up!
Thank you
This is superb. I already have Santa Ana, and I will be getting this. 😁
Super, super… I had a great jamming session today with Rosario playing some Neoclassical shred… :)
Wonderful.
👍👍
Can you connect a mic and record loops live? That’s what I would like to be able to do here
You need the Zurich Gadget alongside this…
@@soundformore thanks for the response. That’s a major bummer :(
@Khordmaster yes because you need to pen Zurich, record, then export and then import the sample inside Sydney… long way if you have many…
@@soundformore yeah I understand. I was hoping for a way to record directly into a sampler within gadget! But I’ll do a bit of exploring! Any experience with gadget on mac?
What do you need?
It's so funny that you released this video today cause I needed some information about exactly this one...cause I bought gadget yesterday and like to find out which iap is useful for me. Thank you
I thought this came included with gadget, not as an additional IAP?
You are welcome, more coming
It is additional IAP, as many others gadgets…
@@soundformoreThanks Leo 👍
@@soundformore👍
Ingenious Update 3.0. Thank you very much for this tutorial!
You are very welcome, do you use Gadget?

Nice demo as ever Leo. I’m really tempted to purchase after this latest update but not quite sure. I’ll keep my eye on your channel for more demos 😊
Ok, i have to say i purchased it straight away… Korg doesn’t support unfortunately this channel yet :(
@@soundformore I’m sure they will soon, I noticed that your subscriber numbers are starting to climb, long may it continue! Am I right in thinking that there are 40 free gadgets included? Are the two new gadgets, Sydney and Santa Ana also included or are they IAPs?
@gm-kp8is sydney a d Santa Ana are IAPs
@@soundformore Thanks Leo, I’ve done a bit more research and realised that you don’t get as many gadgets as I thought you did. That’s me being daft! 😄
@gm-kp8is unless you buy them, you mean?
Is the update stable? Have you had any crashes or any weird bugs cropping up?
Yes ai found some bugs or weird behaviours but there are workarounds…
@@soundformore can you please me tell me which bugs or how serious they are? I’m debating on updating right now or waiting for a patch.

Hopefully it will be ok, good luck :)
What is the difference between this one and Abu Dhabi or Bilbao?
Abu Dhabi has slicers and arps but Bilbao is very close to Sydney if you forget about the UI…
Also BiLbao has groups and FX send that Sydney doesn’t, Sydney has many effects alongside Lofi that the others do not have… but is that enough as differences?

I am not sure K like Santa Ana yet… I am not sure I will use it actually… I am struggling with that gadget… 🤔
Recording a real guitar into Rosario and exporting it into Sydney would be my preferred workflow TBH@@soundformore
Yes agree
It’s a big deal I was waiting for Korg apps to be AUv3.
I agree

Always scope to improve, I am actually impressed they made the move to AUv3 as I thought they wanted to close their synths only to Gadget… :)

I agree, or the strategy is to sample but use the effects only inside Gadget as a DAW… for which it has a long way to go…
@@soundformoreYeah but it’s auv3 . You could always use it in conjunction with Koala sampler . Great video BTW
Yep
I have a of topic question about the routing inside of Gadget. Is it possible to route, for example Sidney, into Rosario? If yes, how😅? Can't find a video which explain this properly
Routing is not great yet in Gadget I am afraid, I can think of some workaround now with AUv3 support but not elegant…
@@soundformore thanks for clarifying this. I still wonder what's the use of Rosario if I can't route a synth into it!? Only play with external gear directly into Gadget... 🤔
It's a pity!
Guitar effect and record its performance… you can plug in your own guitar, apply amp, effect and then record…

Android needs to up their game when it comes to music… so much bad latency sadly…
Bought Syney and must say that it is a waste of money. The time stretch algo is next to akai force the worst i ever heard. And a looper with no Recording functionality?! Common
:(
On Sydney: You can only play one button at the time? You can't combine, let's say, three buttons at once?
Yes you can
For anyone having koala sampler on IOS this is totally useless…
It is ok inside Gadget, don’t you think? If of course Korg Gadget is used :)
@@soundformoreI think a good video would be sampling with Zurich , then importing it into to Sidney ?
