I remember just when I was getting into Berserk, I always said I wouldn't dare hope to be like Guts or have his life... Meanwhile later on I would go on to be "sacrificed" by somebody in my own life that I loved and helped the most, essentially almost causing my death and thus leaving me with night terrors where it affected the state of my life heavily. It really did spook me with how relatable Berserk ended up being in that aspect, but It's been years since then but I'm still here struggling along in life, so I do give thanks to Miura and his masterpiece.
I understand how you feel, and I can relate to you due to my own experiences. I recommend creating a blank page Google Doc and bookmarking it, or just opening the notes app on your phone once a day. Keep a gratitude journal of just one thing you are grateful for every day, and list the date next to it. It may not seem like much, but it acts as a way of maintaining a positive state of mind despite the difficulty in life. You've definitely been pushed to a point where you shouldn't have some years ago, and I've been there too. It's important to never forget the hundreds of thousands of reasons to live and to never quit as you have done.

@@kaizenjack yeah Guts have so many cool names Branded swordsman Apostle hunter Walking calamity But my personal favourite is The Walking Eclipse Not only did it show his act and personality after Eclipse but it also plays a symbolic role I heard a quote that "you become what you can't forgive",and Guts certainly becomes a monster himself if not worse
Being guts is the DUMBEST possible thing you can do...hes broken AND NOT healed from it. Hes a rape victim who has no idea what he wants in life...and even barely figuring that out the eclipse happens..wanting to be guts is inviting literally all trauma into your life....pass
