I like how in the manga, Band of the Hawk era Guts killing 100 men is treated as a legendary accomplishment that had him up all night and greatly wounded him, but then in the 3rd game he kill 100 guys sneezing

This is actually hilarious timing since I’m currently doing my best to make a remake/remaster of sword of the berserk. Should be done in a year or two since it’s just myself.

Also no not messing with the actual game files. I’m trying my best to recreate a lot in blender right now. I’m still new to this but I’ve always wanted a remaster/remake of this game with updated combat and actually good boss fights. I have a lot of ambition with this so I’m not stopping until I’m confident with it fully. Which might be a while. But this is a passion project feel the community deserves. I’ll keep everyone posted

i got into berserk back in 2001 when i randomly picked up sword of berserk for dreamcast. i fucking loved that game and played it over and over again. it gets even more fun when you unlock unlimited ammo. then i seen the anime. i own the ps2 one but haven't been able to play it yet. the newest one is fun if you love berserk.

PS2 one is defintiely the best. The new dynasty style game looks just stupid. Sony needs to make a remake of this game through blue point games or better if From Soft can make a Berserk game based on PS2 game just with updated graphics and better hit detection.
Same here, i was looking for a new dreamcast game, and this just came out so i figured alright looks cool. And that was my first introduction to Berserk, i remember thinking at the time, this has too much going on to just be some random game from out of nowhere. Yep.
The first and second game are a sequel to one another by the way. Would love to see a fan project that fullly translate both games, and merge/remaster them both into one experience. I saw a video essay abt how this game is the best *adaptation* of Berserk ever. So this fan-remake would be a great way to get people into Berserk.

you had the berserk from ps2 bad configured my dude, see, if you use the ps2 emulator graphic config with the hardware versions of your drivers instead of the software version you cannot see the hud, you probably didn't know but you had a heal from puck and 4 secondary ways to attack including the cannon in your hand (I would like a video about this berserk, is the best of the 3 in my opinion)

Dragon's Dogma 1, best Berserk game, you can literally choose to play as Guts from one of the character presets, and the game has armor and weapons from Berserk as well as many look a likes and dont forget that mods exist to max that greatsword playthrough...
If Koei Tecmo still holds the rights to Berserk for games, a game in the style of Nioh, Wo Long or Toukiden would be awesome instead of Warriors gameplay.
Yeah, Team Ninja should give it a try. Omega Force screwed the pooch by being given the most ill-fitting license for their style of game. I mean, they cooked with One Piece, Hokuto no Ken, Mobile Suit Gundam and especially Attack on Titan

It makes me happy how Susumu Hirasawa got the first job for the anime and fully understood that Berserk and his music simply belong together. Shows, games, movies, events, the man is just always willing to be part of it.
The 1st Game I watched my Dad played and Finished when I was a Kid, I played the 3rd Game and I honestly Loved it, what I hated was when I got it why I need to spend more money to unlock things I believe should of been in the Main Game? However, I get to play as Guts, Casca, some of the Mercenaries of the Band of Hawks?!? Alright, Also The moment when Guts get the Berserk Armor is in the 3rd Game?!? OH NAH!! I GOT EXCITED!!! I love 3rd Game, and deeply......I would buy it again and I keep it this time.

I think the stamina bar would ruin that game. Guts doesn’t stop swing his sword because he’s tired.
Maybe it would be a more like Sekiro with a more in depth parry system. If I remember that game really doesn’t have stamina but it does have stance breaking and cool executions which would fit very well in Berk.@@TheMilhouseExperience
@@Catgroove92If anything it should be mash up between Devil may cry and the sekiro combat mechanics. Just don't make it based solely on Sekiro mechanics That won't do a Berserk game any justice.

I played sword of the berserk long ago when I was young, before I even knew anything about it this world. It was very hard for me and the save system was foreign to me as I would get “far,” die and start all the way from the beginning. I thought there was something I was doing wrong. I just didn’t have it in me to keep trying so I stopped playing it and never went back to it.
If anything I’ll just watch a RUclips playthrough to see what happens.

Berserk: The Millenium falcon is fun, until you get to the zombie/ghoul forest part( after snow area), id rather eat dirt for an hour than have to play through that area again.

Guts rage was originally called chapter of the oblivion flower in japan. It's Canon in lore. It was also NA first piece of berserk media. It also spoiled Griffiths return before it happened in the Manga.

The season 2 and 3 its so good bc its showing the real face for guts
You missed the best one: Revenge of the berserk: rebirth from mount and blade warband, it follows the story of guts from a child to the point where you can defeat falconia. It is a mod but it is like a full game, there is a lot to do.
If the newest Berserk game had the dismemberment and counter system from the PS2 game it would've been amazing.
I was OBSESSED with sword of the berserk when i was a kid. Played it on my uncles dreamcast, never beat the mandragora boss. 🤷

I’d absolutely love Koei Techmo’s Berserk game. I haven’t played it yet but I will get around to doing so because I grew up with Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors and it got me into history and absolutely loved those games and it’s what I loved about the original god of war series it felt like I was playing through dynasty warriors as Lu Bu just destroying every enemy it was epic and Kratos became my favorite game character of all time and I got into mythologies the more I kept with series. I played the Doom games but never played devil may cry, I should play devil may cry though but Dante is a really cool video game character and guts really feels like both. He kinda looks like Doomslayer, kills demons and is brutal like Doomslayer but he also kills demons like Dante, the berserk armor is like the armor of sparda, and Dante has a big sword that can fight at really crazy speeds and that’s what guts does, AND HE HAS A RAGE ABILITY IN THIS GAME!!! Perfect for me but I do think they can still improve a lot or maybe a different company will produce an even bigger Berserk game. Guts feels like the God of War of Anime or atleast Doomslayer and Dante a mix between the two.

Dragon's dogma has a pretty similar dark fantasy vibes to berserk and it even has a Berserk collab with pre-eclipse guts and griffith armour, also Guts is literally selectable as a character template when starting the game lmfao it really caught me offguard the first time i saw it.
Hopefully they keep it in the sequel as well.

I agree, the ps2 game is the best one. The weight of Dragonslayer, the unwavering amount of enemies, the sound design. EVERYTHING! It shocks me that it was a ps2 game it honestly looks better than most ps2 games. I played through it on hard on my steamdeck and I never thought it would feel as good as it does. Honestly the snow boss in the very beginning is beyond frustrating but if you can beat it then you can beat literally anything else.

Band of the Hawk is better on harder difficulty. The base difficulty is a button masher....harder levels actually require some resource mgmt and blocking and dodging. When i played thru on normal, i don't even think i used a consumable or side weapon the whole playthrough.

Modus games would be the ideal studio to make a Berserk game. Soulstice was a great Claymore inspired game. Fromsoft is a terrible choice simply because Guts doesn’t backpedal because he’d be too tired to dodge.
