Balder set with some pants for golden age Guts.
I think the black knight's armor is the best one because is the more similar to the berserker armor but is in the end game so maybe the Artorias one without the halmet can be a good choice, is a litle bit similar to the berserker armor too 🤔.

acho que o dark set seria o melhor, você conseguiria "farmar" ele em um local que é meio chato de ir mas não é pro final do jogo (como você já matou o ornstein e o smogh), da pra você ir lá "agora" (pra conseguir esse set é só matar o cavaleiros que usam ele, mas é uma bela armadura e combina com o Guts, então acho que vale a pena). boa sorte man, espero que tu se divirta com o resto do jogo :)
The beauty of dark souls 1 is that every new person that plays the game for the first time always makes the same mistakes and seeing this vid3o makes me nostalgic of how I broke my keyboard and headphones while playing the game for the first time

Well, as a veteran of the souls franchise who just completed this for the first time last week, I went by pretty easily, the curse in the beginning and my navigation skills destroyed me tho, but the bosses were easy

My guy called o and s top three worse souls borne the peak gank of duo fights and he called them trash not even surprised considering he complains about everything

@@cloud455 Also for Gut's canon, I recommend getting fire orb or great fire ball. Pyromancy is not tied to INT or FTH in this game, and they are great for early-mid game. Plus, they only take one spell slot which you only need a few investments in ATN for
The armour I always wore in this was just havels set without the chest piece with grass shield and black knight sword
The first DS1 playthrough is something special.
25:43 is when you understood the essence of DS1. It's about patience and analysing your opponent. Taurus, Quelaag, Iron Golem and O&S beat that lesson into you (literally).
The most impressive thing for me is playing it without all of the helpful items the game grants you. No Ring of Favor and Protection, no Grass Crest Shield, no item buffs. Medium roll and no blocking as a first timer?

Guts is the definition of a quality build. Strength and dex. He isn't just strong he's fast as hell too and accurate with range weapons.

@@generalyousif3640I'm pretty bad at the game and can by now pretty reliably kill him in at most 3 tries. It's about using the environment, which seems to be your enemy at first, to your advantage. And it's about stamina management, the first serious situation in the game to really drill that into you.
a tip for ds1 always make sure you are a light load you have the faster rolls and use backstabs/plunging attacks often and use the kick for shielding enemies

Golden age Guts = Balder set with knight leggings
Berserker Guts = Artorias set
I like doing Artorias chest + Orstein leggings + Golem or Gough's gauntlet + Darkwraith helmet just something like a Skull Knight vibes haha

Yeah Artorias set is nowhere near berserker armour, dark night one is the most close (without helmet)
Visually not the same but Artorias is pretty much inspired by Guts, plus the abyss greatsword moveset is pretty close to Elden ring greatsword moveset

@@narommalagonmorales2663 The abyss greatsword (created by fusing the soul of Artorias into a +10 straightsword/greatsword) has a unique moveset with Artorias' somersault slam and a spin-to-win. In spite of the name, I think only the R1s are from the greatsword moveset.
Try to avoid locking on. Ds1 only has 4 directions you can roll in if you lock on. Locking off gives better control over rolling and general movement. Good luck!

I would suggest going to find some of the fire keeper souls to increase healing, there are seven in total but you have to kill 3 important npcs for 3 of them

I thought it was crazy that you didnt go for the Zwihamder right way, until you got the Guts Sword anyway.

I feel that gargoyle struggle man, I went from Elden Ring straight to Dark Souls and it took forever to get used to the dodging. It might help to think of it more as a pause between actions rather than a button delay.

btw, with the first boss, you can do a think called a plunge attack, it's where you light attack while falling, you'll do like 50% of is starting health. it also works on taurus demon if you climb up the tower. hope that helps.
Artorias’ Abyss Greatsword has the frontflip Berkerker armor move on the two handed heavy attack. That could be cool if you killed Artorias in the DLC!

Those first couple minutes. What a grand and intoxicating innocence. 😂 I sadly don’t remember what my first experience was anymore but I imagine it was similar. Haha
If you're on PC, you can get Gut's golden age sword your first time in the Undead Parish ... if you use save scumming. The Bernikie Knight (big dude with the mace) has a chance to drop a great sword, which is exactly meant to be a copy of Gut's golden age sword. But it's a fairly rare drop, hence the need for save scumming.
That looks a lot like my current first playthrough of DS1 (my first souls-like), I was also struggling on pretty easy bosses like Taurus and Capra demon (spent 20+ attempts on both) then after Quelaag I started to understand game and bosses started to die in less than 10 attempts. I'm currently close to end of it and hardest boss so far was Artorias (30+ attempts), he was the most enjoyable one too
Capra Demon was hell for me the first time I played this game, but I got good at beating him in my other runs. Now Orstein and Smough on the other hand was absolute torture in every run. The only way I've been able to beat them was with Solaire helping me.
But when I decided to try ng+, I actually beat them on my own despite the game being harder in this run.
through the frustration comes a new appreciation of difficulty and game design (to an extent)
To look more like Guts I think that the Elite Knight Set would be good. It is also one of the best armor in the game. But I would recommend to invest in end so you can still at least mid roll, because otherwise you can just fat roll.
By the way, after defeating Ornstein and Smough you get the Lord Vessel. Place it and you can teleport between bonfires. Also if the bonfire at Firelink Shrine is out, you have to rescue Anastacia. How to do that:
For that go where she was sitting, right below Firelink Shrine. Pick up the stuff that is there, but don't use the Firekeeper Soul, if you do she can not come back and Firelink will be out for the rest of the game. Go back to Anor Londo, into the hall before the Ornstein and Smough fight. There use the Black Eye Orb. After you won the fight, go back to firelink to revive her.

Since I usually watch the craziest challenge runs on these games, it was refreshing to finally see someone playing it like I usually do, swearing a lot and getting smeared across the wall with every new boss.
The cannon hand that Gutts has would have been simulated by great combustion, the piromancy. Anyway, amazing vid, dude.

in my first run i had 3h into O&S but in my second i one tried them with the claymore, still proud to tell this story

I played as guts in observation of the eclipse. It was pretty cool.
I realise that the Pyromancy set made the first half of my walkthrough way easier than it should have been xD Many people seemed to struggle against Ornstein and Smough while it took me around 7 tries, just because with an upgraded Pyromancy it took me 4 Fireballs to get rid of Ornstein, and only after that i switched to my physical Uchigatana to take down Smough at a relatively slower and safer pace. I won't lie to you, it took me a lot of documentation and a variety of tried sets to get the one that now is optimal: i'm actually at the Tomb of the Giants, and +15 Uchi on maxing Dex mostly one shots all normal enemy's, and at most takes 2 shots for some bigger ones. Adding the fact that i wear the the ring that improves the rolling with a faster and acrobatic move, a full light armor set to move faster, and that i wield an upgraded Crest Shield having just enough strength to effectively block attacks with it, the game now feels as i slowly unlocked a kind of easy mode, and honestly i don't how to feel about it, i'm asking myself "have i not been kinda cheating all the way long"? xD
"late game area" Queelag is like the third main boss 💀💀 bro struggled so hard 🤣🤣🤣 But everyone is ass in DS1 at first, Asylum Demon destroyed me LOL good memories! Great video, dude

You also could've gotten the sword fir free in Anor londo, its being gaurded by the painted gaurdians. It belonged to Black Iron Tarkus, he's an NPC's that can solo the golem for you

I think you can buy the greatsword from Shiva in Blight Town, so you could get it without killing any bosses if you knew exactly where to go.

Making a Guts build in Dark Souls 2 has more versatility and honestly, it is a lot cooler.
Under normal circumstances yea but if you were to sens skip then get the sword from the merchant and homeward bone back to undead parish you could fight every boss in the game with greatsword
Quick tip you should upgrade your weapons as soon as you get the church with the gargoyle fight. Instead of going left up the stairs go right across the bridge

If you're good at dodging, have light equip load for fast rolls and level endurance. If you're bad at dodging get a shield and level endurance.

I’m replaying this game and I beat the bell gargoyles and the climbing down after ringing the bell I fell and died and lost all my souls and there was no retrieval thing and I needed those souls I was so under leveled

u can go to a high place and headstab the asylem demon and tatrus demon and u can parry most enemys

10:26 man those 2 were ez. I beat them the first time. But I had the dragon tail sword and that made the beginning of the whole game easy. And when u get a black knight sword early in the game then it's over for the game. That sword is so broken and u can get it thr first hour of the game.
