That was what I was wondering. He wrote the story, he didn’t draw it. At least not anymore. He only makes storyboards and give them to his artists to draw them. Most authors who don’t even draw are called mangakas too

The thing that pisses me off is how others hate on One Punch Man for being a manga, or rather, a webcomic made for fun. Others hate on it (*ehem* DB fans *ehem*) by comparing the main character to certain anime characters with planet level destructive powers or higher, same for its fans comparing them, it's annoying
Goku fans are just attention hungry
Db fans are just to much, but some every anime had this problem tho(even opm)
@@JADE-vw3ff every anime where there's an op character, they always gotta spotlight DB characters, cuz if Goku isn't gonna work, they bring up Zeno out of the blue, and if that isn't enough, they threaten you by saying that the Mexicans are a big fan and they'll go Rip you apart if you say that Goku isn't the strongest

One isnt even a bad manga artist honestly, mob pyshco is drawn by him yet some panels (even though not perfect) still has incredibly good attention to detail, like the cracks in the ground that are often showed during his rage for example. dont sleep on One
Majority of people whom I read says that are mostly OPM Manga only smoothie brains.
Majority of us Webcomic Fans unanimously agrees that ONE's Art is actually even better than Murata.
@@RakutenZero i personally wouldnt go that far but art as a whole is subjective, just like humor for example. even though ones art may be a little rough or messy he still has an INCREDIBLE attention to detail like i said. art never has to be perfect for it to be perfect.

People forget that One had assistants which greatly helped him with Mob Psycho. He is a great manga artist, but he still greatly lacks on a technical level. But I guess that doesn't matter when you have such amazing compositions and paneling.

One is a great artist, but his placement in opm is the story writer, not the artist. He draws the web comics quickly so he can get out the story.
That's just wrong. The webcomic has kinda stopped and rarely releases chapters anymore. One is a great storyboard artist and his input has certainly influenced the composition of a lot of iconic panels as well as the paneling itself. The manga also has greatly expanded upon story all of which was written by One. The manga is NOT an adaptation of the webcomic, it's reimagined of the series with One still at the helm.

I'm so conflicted with myself. I hate hiatuses and redraws, and eager to see the upcoming chapters ASAP, and yet I wish for Murata to be healthy and well, both mentally and physically, and so these breaks are necessary, I really hope he's not overdoing it, although I know he *IS* overdoing it

Yeah, I mean, it's not just the illustration that is part of the art. Story, world building, and dialogue are also elements of art apart from illustration. If you drew thousands upon thousands of panels of comic or manga, and the quality was consistent in all those other departments, then I think that's great, even if the illustration isn't top quality.
In a lot of ways, it's a blessing that the art style is so simple that someone who wasn't very talented at first could endlessly create and use it to make stories that would take other manga artists years longer to create.
All art is bad when an artist begins. It's awesome to look back and see how far they've improved. And you dear commenter of this video YOU BEST GET TO DRAWING
One thing people don't mention enough about OPM, it's not just a good action manga series. It's also a great drama series.
The realistic facial expressions of the art style really pushes that aspect far.

One thing I hate about people is when they say "erm ONE's art is actually SO good and incredible, 100x better than Murata!" Like fr stop lying to yourself. Yes he can draw, hell even better than my stick figure drawing self, but I'm not about to say his art is god tier. I don't need to be an artist to say "this guy's art is better than his," Same way I don't need to be a game developer in order to critique a game...

i also love how the action flows in OPM . is super dynamic and full of life . and he does it with anything really , from hand to hand combat to sword fights to super power dbz like scenes . he does it all super well . that something people do not give enough credits for . it super hard
Opm is one of the greatest manga of all time. It is also the best superhero genre manga of all time. The art is the best in manga history nothing comes close. And the fact we are seeing such incredible art with superpowers and superheros makes the art even more amazing.
The amount of glazing is wild mob is way better and there's way better manga

I think you should've also mentioned how much One has improved in his drawing since he started working on OPM.
Sure, his current art is still not even close to Murata's art from the first manga chapter of OPM, but it's still a MASSIVE improvement.
This is why I can't make a comic💀the expectation is so high for people who can't draw at all😔

God coming over the moon is my single favorite sequence of panels in any manga ever. Its so perfectly chilling and awesome, and completely sells how otherworldly it is, especially since murata decided to color it. Hes an absolute genius

I love the fact that from time to time Murata will revert back to One's art style for comedic effect since it not only turns the commonly serious scene into a joke, but also shows how although One's art may be considered bad by most standards, it has its charm and uses, and how it actually does fit for an action comedy series showing how genius both Murata and One are.

What I love about One's work is he's completely unique compare to other webcomics at that time, I'm not saying all webcomics are corny or bad but I mostly see those types of things (atleast based from my experiences) even tho they have better quality or their art-style looks like generic manwha.
