Thank you so much, Aju. Such clear, detailed information. You solved my problem which I notice was the same one described by Reid. Can't believe that I was so scrupulous about cleaning everything except the steam wand.
I was all ready to buy a new machine as the steam seemed to be losing it's strength. I didn't realize the steam arm comes apart so after watching your video I thought, what the hell, give it a shot. I unscrewed it and a burnt husk of dried milk dropped out. I imagine me being lazy and leaving the milk pitcher with the wand sitting in it wasn't a good idea. Anyway, after a surprising amount of burnt milk crud flushed out it works like new again. Thank you!
After each steam, I fill cup with just water and steam with that to clean it internally. Can soak extender snd wand in hot water then just clean it down to bare metal
Maybe you can help, I cannot unscrew the steam wand to clean it properly. I use the Breville tool and go counter clockwise but it doesn't move at all. It's really tight. I used my machine for the fist time today and wanted to clean it after I frothed some milk. It is really stuck. Thank you!
After following the first step by dipping steam wand in hot soapy water (for few hours), it should break up any tough dirt. Then try to open the tip again. Yes it is counter clockwise.
@@AjusCafe I will try but I just bought it and used it just once so there is no 'tough dirt' and I cleaned the machine immediately after that first and only coffee I had so far. Will try your suggestion anyway and thank you for your reply.
2 points 1. I clean my machine immediately after using as it eliminates soaking a cleans easily. 2. I really like my frother sleeve as it does a much faster job of frothing. It also cleans easily if cleaned immediately.
It's common to have a strange taste initially. After a month it should go away. But always remember all these machines have plastic components inside the machine which is BPA free and safe to use.

Excellent video. Breville should hire you.Thanks.
Thank you Zippy
What's the OTHER end of that little cleaning tool used for?
The end that has the cap?
The tiny little sharp needle?
For cleaning the hole of the basket.
Hi! Does your machine make the thumping sound when it does the frothing? We just purchased one and it makes a thump thump thump sound while frothing.
Yes its supposed to do that

Thank you. Yes I'm on it..
@@AjusCafe 👍
I'd think one could also use a scratch-free dish scrubber to loosen the buildup and cheap brush. Do you have a group head cleaning video too?
I did a video some time ago on GroupHead cleaning. ruclips.net/video/E5JSkyw0qlI/видео.html
Fixed my issue. Thanks for the video
Glad to hear that

Make sure it's cool first too. Try gripping with a towel or rag.
Where's the tool located on the machine?
It comes with the machine. There is no tool storage

Thank you for your feedback on this
I just got mine a week ago and the coffee started to have a plastic taste to it, any idea what the issue might be?
