Here in Wisconsin generic or local brands of cheese are just as good or better than name brands. Outside of Wisconsin I usually have to buy name brand.
Groceries: Agree on the cheese and cold cuts, I don't use cereal and very few condiments. I buy any old shampoo, but agree I have my favourite brands for make up and I always splurge on perfume.
This was a good list. I agree wholeheartedly on the hotels! It makes a big difference to me on how well I can sleep feeling like I’m in a clean and comfortable place. I would say my vitamix is a splurge that I totally needed. I burned out the motors on many blenders before getting it. Also, car seats. I did not want my babies in cheap car seats. We made sure to get them very heavy duty seats, which cost a pretty penny. Shoes is another place not to skimp, as keeping my feet comfortable is so important to me!
Sunscreen is an eligible FSA purchase. So what i do is shop around Costco and towards the end pay for my blue lizzard and feminine products at pharmacy. They then bag my items and then I'll head to the big line.
Thank you for giving me this chance! You are a wonderful boss who knows how to bring the best in your videos. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for all the support and motivation! You are so helpful, kind, and generous with your time and energy. I equally appreciate! Katrina Charles, for her help guidance I will always invest with you.
You just mentioned Expert Katrina Charles , Indeed, wow that woman has been an incredible mentor to me, imparting a deep understanding of the economy that I wish college had provided.
Katrina Charles, has really set the standard for others to follow, we love her here in the, US as she has been really helpful and changed a lots of lives.
Aww that’s so cool. I thought Winston’s splurge would be tools. Tell George he and Winston can do a bros shopping day. Would love that video! Great content as usual. Thank you.
@@CorbinTate-gt8hm I've been talking to Andra consultant, for long now, mostly because I lack the knowledge and energy to deal with these ongoing market circumstances. there are more aspects of the market than the average individual is aware of. Having an investing councillor is now the best line of action, especially for those who are close to retiring..
I have my favorite kind of coffee & believe it or not, it's the Kroger Colombian coffee. Also, the Safeway Store brand Colombian coffee is really good too(tastes as good as Starbuck's!), I also make it in reusable coffee pods in my Keurig.... Haven't used the other kind of coffee makers since Keurig came out. The coffee just tastses so much better when it's made with a Keurig. I can definately taste the difference, when I'm have a cup at someone elses house that doesn't have a Keurig. I also agree with you about the shoes, Cheap ones tear up my feet!
Anything I USE EVERYDAY is something I consider spending more for top quality (not just luxury, quality) because they're worth it in the long run. It doesn't have to be luxury brand or the "best of the best" or the newest state of the art model, but I look for brands that pay attention to durability and good QA/QC... "heirloom quality" if I can find it. Buy once, cry once. Ex: mattresses, shoes, laptop/cell phone, bags/backpacks, coffee machine, kitchen appliances, toilet paper, personal hygiene products, etc.
The Neverfull and David Yurman aren’t in my budget, but my skincare (Caudalie, Avene, Chanel) and makeup (Laura Mercier, Dior, Chantecaille) is on the nicer end, and I buy nicer scented candles regularly, including some from Anthro, and once in a while Dyptique, and I will stay in a nice hotel when traveling. I will also spend $100 - $150 on a rare book if it’s important to me.
Hi Rachel I love your videos! You are so good at getting your messages over to us and you always keep everything so interesting and with no lags. I do have one suggestion which you may or may not use: it is a little disconcerting because you aren't looking into the camera but above it. It feels like you're talking to someone else above me instead of to me. I can deal with it but it would seem much more personal if you could look AT me; then I would feel like you were really talking to me . Still, I LOVE everything you discuss and will definitely keep watching!
Try Australian Gold!!!! I have been using ISDIN which is amazing. This one I switched to has all the good, but no fragrance and way less per ounce. Thank you to my dermatologist for sharing the rec!!!
I used to love Cheerios, especially the multi grain, but 11 years ago we had 5 or so different types of Cheerios and they all had weevils. The boxes had just been opened, too. Never again will we get name brand Cheerios.
I don’t really do Target runs, drink Starbucks, get into the expensive bags, jewelry, or designer clothes. I like a nice ride. I have had some real junkers in my life and I just like a nice, reliable ride. That’s my thing. I don’t have to have Pottery Barn or all of the latest, coolest gadgets. I don’t care what anyone thinks of my ride either. It needs to be nice for me.
I'll eat the store-brand Cheerios but my dogs get the highest quality, name-brand dog food I can afford. I hate when articles say to skimp on cheap dog food from Costco- or worse- Walmart. Premium dog food is cheaper than a veterinary oncologist when your dog gets cancer from all the chemicals in the cheap dog food.
Better yet, take that dog food money and make your dog real homemade food. As long as you're paying high prices, put it into real food to get better dog health for your buck.
I learned first hand that buying good sunscreen is a big deal. I broke out in hives that took medication to clear up. Ended up spending more than if I just bought the good stuff ( Blue Lizard ). Never again will I try to save a buck with sunscreen
There's one brand of mustard that has to be name brand for me; Koop's Arizona Heat. I've tried other brands of hot mustard, including store brands and boutique brands, and none of them taste quite right.
I disagree about the condements & sunscreen! ! have to wear it daily all over my body, as I have vitalogo. And mustard taste like mustard wheather it's the store brand or Frenches., or from the Dollar Tree! I agree about the jewlery though, & a quality backpack & purse.....
My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to make investments. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. Thanks to larysa Caba, my portolio is doing really great and im proud of the decisions i made last year.
I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have, making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.
I have never seen a trader as open and transparent as Larysa Caba with her clients. The way she decides to make a profit for her clients. she allows you to express your fears and she still rests your fears and that is my respect. I don't normally comment on videos, but this word should be included. she is really cool.
I feel this is quite an easy one. You already have her name which makes it easy for you. Just look up her name online. I’m sure you will come across her. That’s how I found her too.
Velveeta must be name brand. Oreos and Doritos must also be name brand. I love Aldi cheese it's though. Anything with hair care must be name brand. Love Redken, IGK, Moroccan Oil, its A 10.
@td5604 I love soooo many things at Aldi for real! I don't really care for their cake/brownie mixes or choc chips though. Their meat by me can be iffy....
Rachel. The off brand list would have been shorter. Hehee. The price of name brand makeup is INSANE. I support your kids on the fraudulent Honey Nut Cheerios though. We could not find our brand of toilet paper and wound up getting the Charmin. Wow. The commercial really lives up to its claim. We are now toilet paper snobs.
I love that you don’t take the extreme position of never buy expensive things. Grace.
Here in Wisconsin generic or local brands of cheese are just as good or better than name brands. Outside of Wisconsin I usually have to buy name brand.
Sunscreen is a lot less expensive than seeing the dermatologist for skin cancer or getting skincare to counter act hyperpigmentation.

agree on LV Neverful Rachel. Mine is 2 decades old, been around the globe. Still looks like new. If I sell it today, I'd make profit...
I love Etsy for jewelry, generally lasts longer and supporting small businesses!
I swear by Dawn dish soap too
100% dawn.
Dawn the best!
Yes, Dawn Platinum is well worth the money!
Sunscreen is an eligible FSA purchase. So what i do is shop around Costco and towards the end pay for my blue lizzard and feminine products at pharmacy. They then bag my items and then I'll head to the big line.
My kids can’t tell the difference with Honey Nut Cheerios because they’ve never had the real ones 😂
Two name brand clothesI buy hands down is Carharrt and Gym Shark. Both are high quality brands and have lasted me years
I like this video because you can find name brands on clearance and low price!
Yep just bought all my shampoo/conditioner for the great year on sale
@@tduck828 Cheap can be real and organic!

Investment has been the easiest means to save and multiply money because money left for saving always end up used without returns...
Can't imagine earning $85,000 weekly, God bless Ms Charles Katrina, God bless America.
It's Charles Katrina's doing she's changed my life. A BROKER- like her is what you need.
I like my costume jewelry. Spending a few extra $$$ is totally with it. They last a long time and always come back in style.
I really cut corners on the grocery budget to save for other things like vacation.
That's hilarious about Winston's candles. Wasn't expecting that!
Thank you for sharing all these tips!
Aww that’s so cool. I thought Winston’s splurge would be tools. Tell George he and Winston can do a bros shopping day. Would love that video! Great content as usual. Thank you.
Real Honey Nut Cheerios are gluten free, and can be used to make gluten-free pie crusts. Most of the generic Honey Nut Oat Rings cannot.
You’re pretty bourgeois, Rachel. I’m at Step 2, so I’m scaling down as much as possible (except for my Mac makeup).
Earning and learning from your Signals are unmeasured, thank you miss

How ? i know its possible, i would appreciate this my friend if you show me how and how to go abt it ??

Two things I splurge on are good coffee and namebrand shoes. I just can’t handle the taste of cheap coffee and cheap shoes hurt my feet.

Food & personal care is all my budget
Yes quality products free chemicals etc etc
My 12 yr old daughter is also very keen on Honey Nut Cheerios. Like you, I have bought every dupe, but she won't eat it 😆
Kirkland brand everything
I was literally eating Honey Nut Cheerios while watching this video 😂
My granddaughter smells the cereal to make sure it's honeynut cheerios .
😂
Oreos and pureology. YES. 😂

Bounty paper towels? For me is a person from abroad it’s a chocolate bar 😆
Hotel beds seem to be so much more softer than my bed at home.
which brand of make up do you used?

Did you know you could make your own Honey Nut Cheerios? I've never tried it, but want to one day.
I buy pom wonderful even though it is made with our water being stolen & sent down south.
I'll have to try the Trader Joe's "oreos."
So sounds to me like she splurges on a lot of things. She has money though, so no surprise

I buy my clothes at the farm store, and I prefer Carhartt. Their clothes wear like iron
Rachel's telling us not to buy the store brand? Has the world flipped and turned totally upside down?
But Rachel spent money on going to see Taylor swift twice🤔
If you can afford it, why not?
That would be a problem if she couldn't afford it. But she can, so no problem their.
I can’t watch this because of how loud the background music is 😭 it’s so repetitive I can’t focus on anything else
