Simultaneously press: Power, Esc, Refresh. When the screen comes up asking for the USB stick just turn power off and then back on again.
Note: This method does not erase any files on your Chromebook and only takes about a minute to execute.

Omg this video was a life saver😭 My screen froze during class and I didn’t know what to do. I thought I’d have to get a new one but thanks to this video, I got it to work again😭🙏🏼
This saved me!! Right when my daughter was distance learning her laptop froze and would not get out of a full screen. I tried restarting her chromebook but all it did was let me sign in and go back to the full screen and get stuck. I tried the powerwash and now she’s back in class before break. Thank you so much!

Hello! I really liked your video and I was wondering if you could help me with my laptop...I have this Chromebook Lenovo C340 which freezes all the time, and I tried all possible solutions, but nothing works ...I always have to restart the laptop again and again without any improvement.

You mean your chromebook right?
I would either let the battery dry out and then press the power button for 10 secs and try it again. If still the same, I would try to re-install the OS like in the video.

Thanks that helped. Lmao my screen was stuck on the lock screen and it wouldn’t go past that. It just froze on it. Turned it off and on. Nothing. Then held power button for 10-15 and it worked haha.

My screen is split in half . One half glitches and the mouse is not visible. When I move the laptop around the glitches constantly spread and change. I need help!
Hello,
For display issues the first step is to connect it to an external tv/monitor. If you see the same issue on the external monitor, the problem likely is the motherboard, this does not happen often. Now, if the problem is not present on the external monitor, then the issue is the chromebook display. It may be the cable between the display and the motherboard, it can be the display needs to be replaced.

i have an acer Chromebook and it freezes within seconds before I can do anything at all.

If u just froze on the tab you had u can just hold the space Barr the pawer button in the same time then your computer will turn off and then u just need to put ur password in and u are done 👍

My Chromebook from school, The screen was froze for like 2-5minutes what i did is just hold the power button from the left 10-15 seconds it'll turn off then just open your computer the same thing you do everyday.

-Having the device shutdown, press the power button for around 10-15 secs and then turn it on again.
-Try connecting it to an external monitor/tv to check if it display something.

@@MyITWorkshop oh my chromebook went frozen I think, it happens to me but I couldnt turn it off when I closed the chromebook lid and I had a mini heart attack, but I just pressed the power button and another button for a few secs and it turned off thankfully!
