It’s always good to do standard if you want under the seas it’s only at Trinidad. Best area is Aruba to be close to skyliner and riviera. Or Jamaica building 41 to be next to skyliner . We love it as our arrival hotel
They have nicest CM. And the difference at end of night being at hub skyliner vs pop can be huge when exhausted. We be never had long walk there

I would like to see a winner picks dinner skyliner addition. In addition to the normal winner picks dinner rules, add one more that you must go to each of the 4 resorts at least once. As someone who usually comes to Disney on a budget, and typically stay at a resort on the skyliner, this would be a fun way to learn about all the different food/beverage options on the skyliner.

We always stay at Caribbean Beach simply because it's so "affordable" for a moderate resort. And now having the skyliner makes it really convenient!
The biggest issue is the bus loop, but we typically stay close to the Riviera and just walk over to their bus stop and back when going to MK & AK.

We always stay at CBR bc we are a family of 5. It's so much cheaper to stay there in a 5th sleeper than a suite at AOA or Pop, or two non-suite rooms. Also, the room you had actually IS one that has been "refreshed". Only rooms in Trinidad were done in the Little Mermaid theme; the other rooms were were updated with new paint, new flooring (replaced old carpet), new curtains, and new beds (with room for storage underneath). The best areas to stay are Jamaica and Aruba! Closer to the Skyliner and cheaper than the preferred rooms which are on either side of Old Port Royale. :)

Caribbean Beach is my favorite! Because of the Skyliner, mainly. Sebastian’s sucks. If you get an Aruba room, walking to the Riviera Skyliner is less than 5 minutes and you get to the parks sooo much faster than taking a bus. MK takes a little longer, but Aruba’s the last stop on the bus route, so you’re off to the Springs or MK right away. Convenience to Studios or EPCOT can’t be beat. If that’s important to you, stay at the Beach. 😊❤

I feel like the local perspective really skewed your opinion here. As someone who travels from out of state & knows I won’t be in the room enough to bother with paying deluxe prices, Caribbean beach is absolutely perfect. I pay half the price of Riviera, get to use everything Riviera has to offer as well as enjoy all the delicious food at Caribbean Beach. I stay at Pop a lot, but their food sucks. You have to travel to get any good food, which is why the upcharge at CB makes complete sense. I wouldn’t ever recommend it as a staycation, but as home base when you’re from out of town, this is one of the best.

Definitely all a matter of preference! For us, the internal bus loop, size of the resort, outdated rooms, and lack of elevators are all noteworthy cons, just as the skyliner and food are noteworthy pros. I stayed at Caribbean Beach in May 2022. It was my first ever stay on property at WDW and I loved it! Our room was in Aruba - we stepped out of our room, walked across the car park to the bus stop, which was the last or 2nd to last stop before leaving the complex. We were never not able to get on any of the buses. If we were going on the Skyliner then we were a hop, skip & jump to the Riviera station. We had the choice of eateries at both h resorts which was brilliant! A 10 minute walk to Port Royal reception was absolutely no problem for us. On arrival our luggage was delivered to the room by a cast member, and they collected it from our door on departure day. We only ate in the main grab and go once and in Banana Cabana a couple times - and that banana & coconut bread pudding was to die for!! As a one & only stay at WDW we wanted to stay at a moderate rather than one of the values, which we assumed would be busier with children. We didn’t want to spend more to stay at a luxury resort as the holiday was expensive enough as it was! All in all, I expect it depends on which island you stay in on resort but we couldn’t fault it.

For me this resort has two drawbacks--neither is a complete dealbreaker, but they do affect an experience there. First, it's REALLY BIG--not uncommon for the DIsney resorts, but it can be no fun when coming home at night from a 20,000 step day in the parks. The other problem, at least for me, is that there are no elevators. So if you're using a mobility scooter (Like me) or have strollers, you'd better get a ground floor room. Personal choice in this range would be Gran Destino Tower, or French Quarter.

One of my favorite resort memories was from last year, my family stayed at Saratoga springs and it was the last night of our stay and everybody else had gone to magic kingdom and I was all parked out. This was two days before Memorial Day so it was super busy in magic kingdom! And apparently my mom texted me saying a lot of the rides were breaking down so I was glad I stayed back. So what I did for my last night on property was grabbed a personal meat lovers pizza from the market place, settled in for the evening and watched some episodes of the The Book of Pooh on Disney plus and afterwards watched the sunset over the golf course on the balcony and read some of my Disney comics I brought with me and in my Disney pjs. Im definitely making that a last night tradition for myself for future trips!

I've stayed at Caribbean Beach a few times, and it's definitely not my favorite. I will say, it does give off beach vibes, but I live near the beach and can have those vibes frequently so I don't need them at my resort. It's HUGE, so being a "skyliner" resort is a great perk...but if you're really far away from the skyliner it doesn't help. I've honestly never been in the main pool because my room has always been so far away that I just use the quiet pools. I would compare it most to Coronado Springs, but to me Coronado wins by a landslide. They are both massive, but Coronado has the bridge in the center the makes getting around so much easier, and there are just so many food/drink options at Coronado that I've started going there to bar hop instead of Disney Springs.
Obviously, I have a lot of feelings about Caribbean Beach lol. It's nice to stay in at least once, a lot of the areas are pretty peaceful because the resort is so huge and being able to walk/drive directly to the Riviera and is a huge perk as well. But, I would pick another skyliner hotel or Coronado over it.
Also, you just HAVE to sing Kokomo when discussing this resort. It's a requirement.

Thanks for your honest review. I feel bad for people who go into this unknowingly. Caribbean beach is the biggest rip off on property. We paid over $300 a night for standard un refurbished room in march 2023. Do yourself a favor and either go all stars or deluxe. I had previously stayed at all star music and mistakenly assumed that for three times the price id receive at least double the value and experience! Wrong! Would stay at all stars in a heartbeat over this place! HVAC is unacceptable, we couldn’t get rained on clothing items to dry in three days, and bleach smell from house keeping never aired out. Ive stayed in $75/ night places nicer than Caribbean beach. It is a very expensive dingy cheap motel.

I appreciate your Staycation videos. I love seeing some if the places I could never afford to stay at.
My 1st vacation to WDW in 2007 had Caribbean as our scrash pad. At the time we loved the overall vibe and the rooms were nice. Prime rib at Shutters was a big win for us. The vastness of the property meant it took some time to get food and transportation. That walk back to the room after a full day was not something we looked forward to.
I was disappointed to see the room when you both walked in. For the amount of money spent the room was lacking. My last trip in 2021 was mostly spent off property because the price to stay on property vs off was 1/2 for better amenities. We did stay at All Star Movies for the last 2 nights of our trip and I think that room was better than your room at Caribbean. On property stays at WDW are outrageous.
Keep up the great content. You're my primary to get my needed Disney vibes. ❤

Just stayed there over spring break at the Barbados section. Gotta say, it was the perfect location. 5 min walk from Skyliner. Also, the buses were a complete non-issue. There were only two stops after us for pickups before going to the parks and the buses were practically empty when they got to us. Thought the buses would be much busier based on our experience at Coronado two years ago at a much slower time of year. If we stay at Caribbean again, definitely going to try to request Barbados for sure.

We really enjoyed Caribbean Beach resort. Last time we were there we got a pirate room! I was so bummed to hear they took those out. Banana Cabana is the best. Sebastian's is just ok but, agree that the bread pudding is life changing! I will admit, the reason I loved it so much was that the only parks we went to when we stayed there were Epcot and Hollywood Studios and I could see the Skyliner hub out our window. So, yeah. 🙂

Another GREAT review! Love CBR stayed there on my honeymoon in 1990. Pease do a video or video series comparing all the club levels. Who has the best food, best amenities,/benefits etcetera

Everyone has their own likes. I found CBR so much better than POR and POFQ. Big doesn't bother me. I don't pack a day so schedule edgy that a little bit more in transportation breaks the plans. CBR has become a favorite of mine, especially since Disney has utterly ruined Fort Wilderness :(

Caribbean Beach is one of our favs! Huge nostalgia factor for me because our one and only WDW vacation when I was a kid, we stayed here and loved it.. and my family stayed here again in recent years. We also booked a preferred room and stayed in Martinique because we had young children and wanted to make sure we were on 1st floor (because of the stroller) and closer walking distance to dining and skyliner. My kids are basically fish and they absolutely LOVED the pool and toddler water play area as well. the playground was under refurbishment when we were there but that would be another perk for us. My kids also stayed up a lil late a few times to watch the movie under the stars. For us its a nice balance between the All Stars where we only stay there on vacays that are go-go-go just wanting to be in parks open till close and the highest end resorts that really aren't in our price point.

We’re a family of 5 so our options are slim.. we love CBR but always request to stay in Trinidad close to skyliner so we’ve only had the updated rooms. We love watching Epcot fireworks from the main pool, which may be what the skyliner viewing chairs were for. 😂 We love the AOA suites, but CBR is significantly less and we didn’t love POR when we stayed. So for us, CBR wins.. but mostly because of the skyliner.

We just stayed at CBR last week, in a Trinidad refurbed Little Mermaid room. My 6' 16 year old son slept on that little bed, which was hilarious. He was a trooper about it. I vastly preferred the bathroom we had to the one in this video, but otherwise I thought the "theming" was strangely both sparse and tacky. My daughter-in-law is an AP, so we just drove our car to MK and AK and didn't mess with the busses. I absolutely loved the Skyliner; our room had a window facing the station, and I just loved watching the gondolas streaming across.
We had a strange experience arriving at our room at about 10:00 PM after a day at HS. We had checked in with the app, but when we tried to open the door it unlocked but was latched from inside. Finally after a couple of minutes fussing with the door and then announcing that I was going to call the front desk, an employee unlatched the door and walked out of our room without saying anything. VERY WEIRD, RIGHT? We were too tired after HS and unpacking the car to do anything about it, but it was unsettling to me.

Food was great and the main pool area was fun but it's sooo huge that a simple trip to the Food Court is a whole big trek. Imagine making that trek in the Florida heat while dragging your heavy luggage. It's NOT fun.

Bit gutted after watching this 😢 we are from the UK and stayed at Coronado Springs in 2022, managed to persuade my husband we needed to do a Disney trip again for my 40th (🤫) birthday this August and we’ve booked CB thinking Skyliner will be great but now I’m a bit 🙁 Was hoping the rooms would be better after a refresh 🙈

First time we stayed there in 2000 they had Caribbean music playing everywhere quietly which made the long walks fun , that was gone in 2003. Last time we stayed there was 2014 and things had always changed some each stay, but it is very different in Center-town area, and Caribbean Cay was called Ole Man Island before , was more overgrown and spread out seats/benches for privacy and only a couple small playground things for kids. Oh and Banana Cabana was a free standing bar closer to the pool but not accessible from it. I do think the Riviera hotel building ruins the view that used to be there
Thanks for showing Caribbean Beach now 😊

Beach Club is my resort of choice. We stayed at Caribbean Beach in 2020 after the parks reopened after several trips canceled before and we were desperate. We loved our room location for a bus stop and the Skyliner. Most of our bad points I think were because of restrictions. We were far from the front and all of the CokeFreestyle machines were closed even in the food court but I would have loved being able to use the one by our room. Buses really weren’t bad except for Disney Springs in the evening because the parks closed so early and no park hopping. So everyone wanted to head to Disney Spring so we used Uber. My biggest knock though is the bathroom situation. Super nice big bathroom but I hate that the double sink is in the bathroom. Adds time to our get ready which is bad design.

I honestly hate the bashing of Caribbean Beach! We love, love this hotel! I feel like it’s a perfect location close to Epcot, Hollywood Studios but close to the Riviera with great dining options. The comments on size! Love the walking trails! Wish they had bikes but the quiet pools are great if you need some quiet time.
We just stayed in the Concierge level or Hawaii @ the Poly and it wasn’t worth the huge extra cost! Don’t get me wrong loved watching the fireworks from our room and the sunrise but the pools were nuts! I commented to my husband let’s go back to Caribbean Beach. Love the theme! Could use a refresh especially new showers but super comfy and we are going back for Christmas. Can’t go wrong with Skyliner and we ordered Lyfts vs taking the bus in some occasions. I just don’t get it!
