I'm watching the Teeter Tot build video series for the first time. actually entered to win it and proudly wear my TT T-shirt. I love the way you methodically work and troubleshoot. I was taught to do the same by my Voc_Ed teacher many many years ago. Now I'm the go-to person in my racing community to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems. I knot the TT is gone but I am loving watching this build and following the Focus build. Thanks!
The open secret is that your fans don't really care how long it takes to get a job done because we understand that you're not slacking. We enjoy your quirky, awkward, punny, (sometimes trying to conceal anger and frustration) videos, and I personally can't wait to see more of your content.
Sarah. We love everything you do. Remember this is your channel. Your. Builds are awesome ! You have more talent than most guys ! Your attention to detail. Is something that makes you awesome ! Don’t worry about a 4-5 hr job taking 2 days. ! Just look at the mountain you have already crossed. The one in front of you is no different. Chin up. Keep going !
Popping bubble wrap is so cathartic!
It will take 2-3 guys to do what you are doing, for you doing it yourself is a accomplishment.. it doesnt matter how many days it will take working on your project car what matters is you enjoy fixing it & quality of work your putting in,, keep up the progress sarah 😀👍
Hey Sarah, give youeself more room! That black radiator support that holds the lights, condenser, radiator, etc, is called the lock carrier. If you get 2, 8 inch to foot long bolts at the hardware store, you can slide it forward. Take out 2 bumper bar bolts (one on either side) put the 2 long bolts in, the take the rest of the bumper bolts out and viola! Slide the whole carrier forward and drastically improve your access. Hope that helps!
Also known as putting the car in "service position"
@@03harleydeuce I was about to post this
A project car isn't about the ease of working on it. It's not even about the end result. It's about seeing the transformation. Sometimes the little things most people will never see or notice are the best changes.
2022 1st watch.. i don't require " TV car show " progress / completions. I watch Sarah -n- Tuned for the outstanding unique content you provide.... .. with Young Charlie and Fred and whip tail leeezards.
It takes a lot of passion and commitment to do the projects Sarah is doing. Her love of cars is addicting and makes me want to do more on my mine. But, to be honest, I see vehicles as tools. Take care of them, of course, and they'll last and do job they're designed for. I wouldn't chrome my hammer or re-groove my phillips screwdriver head but, I would keep them clean and stored in the proper place. I like watching her work because of the humor, honesty and dedication she shows in every video.
Yes, please take on the intake manifold project. I for one love all of the car projects you do for us no matter what it is. Two episodes on installing the radiator is really a bonus to me, more Sarah!
This project will never end !
Glad to see these new Sarah videos! I've "been away" looking at other videos and I realized I'd been missing out on my Sarah videos! WIshing you all the best with that radiator change-out, Sarah! It's looking great!
Another great video I had to watch multiple times (camera angle) it's coming along as best it could for a 20yr old toy, all your little touches/paint add to the personality of the car.
There's no o.c.d. when working on something you like. I'm the same way with mine too. The frustration makes the challenge more exciting. Sometimes it takes nerves of steel to restore an old car. Keep up the good work! You are an anomaly Sarah. Every time I see a spotless old car it's owned by another crusty old man like me! I love your sense of humour too. Keep on smiling!
Sarah, I completely understand your frustration. Sometimes aftermarket parts just don't fit like the OEM parts do. Don't let it get you down. Just keep on being your weird, quirky, lovable, and beautiful self!
I know that frustrated look, stepping back is a perfect idea in my book. Wrinkle Finnish would be great and you might as well do it since the car is apart. Don’t think about beans !!!!
Sarah please don't be discouraged as you well know after market seldom is a direct replacement . Keep your chin up and keep smiling and know we all Love and support you !
Its very satisfying watching you fix your project cars!
I know it's a bit late now but I find it much easier to just remove the bumper bar & cross member. This is what I do with my Audi Allroad. I can then access the whole front of the engine a lot easier. I do have service bolts but it's so cramped in there. It doesn't really take that much longer & saves your knuckles. Love your videos. You always make me chuckle.
Good job Sarah, keep chipping away at it. The BEST thing I've learned about working on cars is to take it one task at a time and realize the "setbacks" are tasks I didn't know about yet. Also, good job cleaning as you go. That is a big part of the enjoyment for me. When you have to come back to it again the next day, it makes a difference when it's clean and looks good.
Love watching these videos!!!!
i love watching you work on cars
It's funny that I sit here, ironing and sewing new curtains watching you fixing cars, while my sister got my drill hammer.
By the way: I'm a industry electrician working as a pastry cook.
What a wonderful world we are living in.
Huh, I'm a baker/pastry cook working as a tax accountant and uni prof. Go figure.
Next project build a work bench tall enough for you with a vise.Priceless addition to your work space . Great channel Sarah 👍
Robby Jr my garage is too small for that, I have to fit cars in here.
I definitely hear what you're saying I'm sharing a link this is what I had in mind.I've built something like this years ago and I simply used heavy duty steel L brackets to hold my bench and lag bolted it to the studs on the wall"center of stud" never failed me certainly wouldn't recommend standing on it but it definitely gave me a platform to work on. Take upper half of your toolbox and place on bench With a little creativity you'll be surprised what you could fit in that space. OK be safe look forward to your next updateruclips.net/video/yWrsMcW6XFA/видео.html
Sarah flexing on me with that knowledge I feel like Sarah would be the perfect auto teacher😂😂😂😂
Hi Sarah, I installed CSF radiators in the 996TT and they work really well. Great customer service too. Takes a ton of time. Holy cow! Sorry it got so complicated...
Love you Sarah you sense of humor is great. Yes do the intake work. Love your videos.
Realized that it's about time to get off my a** and mount some stuff on my own car😀 - your work have been inspiring all winter👍
Love your work
Hi, Sarah. Be aware that most of the 1.8T water pumps has plastic (nylon) impellers. They sometimes crack and slip on the water pump shaft, causing overheating. "Graf" makes a nice replacement water pump that has an all metal impeller.... Higher output, too! I just installed one on a 2002 TT, last night, in fact, and have another one to install on a 2003 TT, next. After that I have a TT requiring foam replacement on the HVAC air distribution doors (foam blowing out of the vents). Neat car when you get it fixed up. Nice work!
B Streeter I have a brand new metal impeller waterpump, there’s a video on that as well.
Keep'er going. You are doing a great job.
My favorite car channel. No surprise why
You like Audi? :P
Nice sponsorship! and from my home state! Keep up the great work Sarah! I know working on older cars sucks but you are doing it the right way and not half arsing it. Keep your chin up it will get better!
Yes, do the intake manifold paint thingy. You know you want to. Good job on the car, it's really going to be sweet.
Thanks for the instructional videos
Love the blue nail polish!
Don’t be pissed Sarah I saw those eyes at the end. Head up now😊😊😊
^^^^^^What he said. 😉
zeroturbulence Hehehehe for real only for Sarah. I love how weird sarah is when Sarah gets angry I feel bad cause I know all sarah wanted to do was make content for me to watch. But it’s sad none the less. Watching Sarah leave a video like that
Don Teifke yep. It’s always good to know that the fans have sarahs back I don’t like watching sarah beat up herself for my amusement. It’s sad and I feel bad when Sarah leaves a video like this it really really hits me bad.
You can relate if you spend ages trying to get them VAG water hoses off without breaking the plastic ends, then wash your hands to find loads of tiny cuts with itchy fiber glass all up your arms (them slam panels are evil lol) then find rad don't fit right 🤔 been there with nearly every pattern rad i ever fitted 🙈
John Coldwell FACK😂😂😂
Nice upgrades. And you're about 10 million views! Congrats on that.
And... as it goes with Mods. this is where we all learn to become better mechanics.
This is also the part that is no fun, yet learning to do mods is rewarding.
Keep up the good work Sarah. As mechanics we get the good with the bad sometimes. I know you will work thru it
Just re-discovered your videos. Didnt realise how much I missed them. Plus side ive got loads of catching up to do!
Thank you for putting in all of this hard work. I would love to see you do the intake work and it would less to tear down and clean up later. All black might look extra clean!
we have been working on the 73 Road Runner at my brothers for ever it seems the car fights us every time. i completely understand... Keep up the great content and videos.... you got this...
Love your channel
ECS Tuning has had OEM parts in stock for my BMW that I couldn't get anywhere else and for a fair price. Excellent company to deal with!
Rrudy DeDogg Yeah legit, even if they didn’t sponsor that video I would praise them regardless.
love your vids keep going and don't get upset you are so cool
Keep at it gal. Don't let frowns get you down. True Sarah style, always smile! 😁 You could just polish the aluminium a little bit instead to take out some of the pitting. Not quite sure which way would be quicker, but if you do, I love Mother's Aluminium and Mag polish. I use it on cars, guns, knives; pretty much everything. It works wonders, just my 2 cents.
Keep going love the video
keep your energy and positive attitude!!!
My respect Sarah. Yes, do the intake manifold as long as you are in there.
"Chickens!" was the word we used in my office when you couldn't think of the name of something or needed to cuss politely. Bad Chicken is now going in the updated lexicon. "''They say this cat Sarah is one bad chicken - (shut your mouth) But I'm talkin' 'bout Sarah - (Then we can dig it)'" (Paraphrasing the Shaft soundtrack title song.) Great video, love the Audi, agree with others- do all the work you can while you've got things pulled open already.
Holy shazaam!!! I had to replace the radiator in my 1979 GMC High Sierra pick-em-up farm T-ruck last year....4 bolts and 2 hoses...😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Outstanding knowledge & skill with beauty to to it off
great job sarah, your too awesome...
Fixing cars isn’t always easy or fun.... most aftermarket upgrades need some kind of modifications to get them to fit.
Frustration and the feeling of accomplishment when it’s all done are part of the game.
And there’s no crying in automotive!
yes work on the intake while you have it apart , I enjoy the videos I dont mind what you're working on as long as you make videos 😘😘
It's the driver what's running hot!
I love ECS Tuning. Their website is great.
I love your video's and your attention to detail. I work just like you do; where I can't just take something apart and leave it dirty or rusty. It has to be as close to factory as possible.
Just love your car lift.
Been in suspense for months!!!
Don’t sound so down some times things happen with older car. Thanks for all you do keep up the great work
Black wrinkle finish would look awesome!
Nice work 👍😁
Following your footsteps i bought my own deram TT.
Omfg I hope I don't have to do this to my 03 225 TT Quattro anytime soon. Good work Sara keep up the content.
'Catch up on the ceiling here.' I seriously looked at my own ceiling...Hey it was a long day!
Wow congratulations on that big sponsor! You deserve it! Yes black wrinkle will look awesome!
Yes to the intake manifold. Yes to coveralls for Sarah... ♥
I'd love to see an intake vid! It sucks you didn't get this all into one video but I know you put a lot of effort into content for us and it shows! Can't wait for the sequel 👍
OMG red is good on you ! Lol couldn't resist.
Your really funny! an seem like your very genuine with what you do! keep it up!!
Yes on the intake manifold.
Drive on Sarah!
Sarah...that's life with an Audi. My buddy had a TT of the same vintage, and we had just as much trouble. BUT...while you've got it taken apart, might as well pull the intake off and clean it up. I agree with the wrinkle finish, it'll look good and class up the engine bay a little.
Also, I should note that my I'm having similar troubles with my '02 Mustang. I was doing a head gasket replacement + new headers and ended up braking the radiator and fan during the tear down. (I've had the car since new and it's got 160k on it...so it's fine). But I get the frustration from it. It's always something and it's always on the stuff that *should* be easy. You do great work and I love watching your video's. Keep it up and don't let these set-backs push you too far down. It's just an excuse for you to learn something new you didn't know you needed to know! ;)
Wow what a process! I'm not joking when I say I can probably swap the radiator in my WRX in 10 minutes. 20 if I have to swap the fans over and the bolts are a bit rusty. :P
At any rate, I really hope the Audi stops giving you so many little problems. Teeter Tot owes you for all the love and parts you have put into it!
2nd that one !
Sarah, you crack me up with the OCD stuff. I have it too, but not about cleaning😀. My ex girl is exactly like you, loves cleaning, loves cars, and especially loves cleaning cars. And clay bar, and waxing them monthly and all the detailing. 😀 I love your vids❤️
The install is going just fine Sarah ; anytime you install a slightly over sized part on a Audi, your in for clearance challenges - especially on a Audi! Time for a new tool: die grinder with a cut off wheel..... get a face shield! (safety glasses aren't enough).
If ECS is with you, you are definitely doing well! Congratulations!!
Purty Thick Box...Classic!
"I wonder if my AC will ever work again" are NOT words you want to hear in Arizona...
You could store the coollent in bottles if its only few weeks old and still fresh.
The first step on working on any TT is put the front bumper in “service position “( remove it from the car) doesn’t matter what you are doing they just like the front bumper off one of many many issues I hate about my TT
The same on all VW Audi Skoda and Seat.
In Service possition you have 15cm more space.
And with original parts you have 1/2 the work.
Original parts do the job, why this bad fitting shit?
It's def a different way of thinking with these cars.
I have quite literally never had to pull the bumper to work on a Subaru.
You pull the bumper only if you need to work on... The bumper.
That has been my experience with most Japanese cars.
The newer compact jobs are different I'm sure though.
I rate this video 3 out of 3 Bad Chickens! I know how frustrating it gets, but it's great content. Thanks!
Yes yes yes! You should work on the intake manifold while everything's apart. I think you should put a couple nice new SPAL fans in there like Emelia Hartford did on her 240SX. That would make the cooling system makeover complete! Love from Michigan.
Well Sara I know how you feel I am always doing projects on my 29 year old north east vette and even a small project can turn into a big project fast.
Much respect
Sarah, the intake manifold looks perfectly normal. The rough surface is stock, no corrosion at least on the surface, from looking at your vid. Please get to the gaskets next.
Keep up the great work, you're an inspiration! I am looking closely at what you're doing, bought a 2002 TT two months ago, not as messed up as yours initially, but still plenty of things to do.
Intake manifold for sure, you might even be able to get in there with a dremmel or die grinder typing thing and give it a little port/smoothing for some flow and maybe a couple of beans.
Wish i could make money watching your videos!!!!! Great stuff, keep up the good work!!!
Great video. When I was a trucker, I always felt sorry for Lit Lizards. JMHO..
Not weird... charismatic as hell! (8:38 calendar shot!) 😁
Hi Sarah, I would paint the manifold with a ceramic flat black coating. All you need is an airbrush and the cerakote
You sounded fed up by the end of this video! Stick with it though, that little TT is gonna be awesome when you're done with it and you're getting some great content out of the work you're doing on it!
Watching all that hard work has made me need a nap ...
Hard work Sarah! But I really need almost one entrance for video!!!
Wow...that CSF radiator looks pretty good. I've used them in the past and wasn't impressed with their quality, but this one looks upgraded from their standard offerings. If it's gonna' be easier to do the intake manifold, at this stage, by all means, do it. Keep up the great work.
Makes working on m '04 Mini Cooper look super easy! Front end service mode is the bomb! Im sorry it was such a struggle this time around. :(
Nice video again
Crinkle black, yep, good idea.
Idk if the tt is like the a6 of that generation, I would assume it is. When I did a rad upgrade and some other stuff, I found it easier to just remove the whole front for access to the front of the engine and to work on it without cutting myself up. Keep up the good work, my audi never got completely sorted out after fixing something another thing pretty much came up, was fun though.
Great content is always. Don't worry about that coolant just think how clean the inside of that block is. As far as your Dremel and you're cut off will you may want to use a thicker cut off wheel with an air tool for that type of a project. By the way I think a wrinkle finish would look good with the other finish in the engine bay.
Chin up buttercup! Sometimes it be’s like that. I’m probably gonna see some of the same crap this weekend when my mk5 GTI gets a new t-stat and other bits!
