I picked up a G3 a while back and so far have around 800rounds through it with zero issues whatsoever. Is actually the first Taurus gun I have owned and am actually very impressed with the amount of gun you get for the money. Shoots just as good if not better than my glock 19. I would recommend the g3 to anyone looking for a reliable pistol.
I've got the G3C that came with 3 x 12-round factory magazines. These have a shiny finish, are marked "CAL 9mm MADE IN BRAZIL" on the left side, have the weld seam down the back and witness holes for 6 and 12 rounds on the right side. I bought 2 x 17-round magazines from Taurus that came with the proper spacer for the G3C's shorter grip. These magazines have a non-shiny finish, are marked "CAL 9mm" on the left side, have all 17 witness holes and no seam down the back, and are marked "MEC-GAR® MADE IN ITALY" on the front.

Only the first shot has to have the longer take up with the trigger. It has a pretty short re-set. Most people don't understand the trigger I think. It's not bad. It's not a Canik trigger for sure but not bad. I love the re-strike ability. I use it for dry fire practice all the time while just sitting around watching TV or whatever.

That trigger is a hot mess. Look up.the MCarbo spring kit installation and internal polish video. $20 and it acts much better. Retains factory trigger, just gets rid of n the shit behavior of it.
@@jameskirk3 No thanks. It gets rid of the re-strike ability of the trigger I believe. I like it for dry fire practice while watching TV or whatever. 😁

Great video. Just got a G3, this is some very useful info.
The G3 has a variant called the “G3 Tactical” and its about $100 more for suppressor height sights, threaded barrel, red dot ready slide, no external safety and fde all right out the box.
Nice. I bought mine when it first came out so I have the Taurus style sights. Sig 226 mags work well in it as well
I have the G3TORO feels good and shoots great groups. I think it’s one of the best looking 👀 and has everything on it that you need. A perfect design and Taurus did an amazing job on the G3 series. You can get one with or without a manual safety. You can get the crossover style just like the Glock 45 . This is the G3C slide with the G3 grip. Taurus is definitely doing a phenomenal job on creating great pistols. Great video and enough said

Do a spring kit and polish the internals out. Maybe a cheap trigger swap. It can be made better than a glock, it just needs help.

I got my G3c for a steal, $160 off my neighbor. He bought it for $300 and gave it to his wife, but she hated it. Its been mostly reliable with ahort OAL 9mm. When i am running 124g with some of the longer allowable length, it occassionally fails to return to battery and i have to slap it forward, but then it fires. Fails lockup by like 1/8th of an inch.
Hopefully that will resolve itself once Ive put 500 rounds through it.
I will polish the internals amd get a spring lit to get the trigger under 5 lbs, but lord oh lord is it a mess from the factory 😂 as a single action shooter, I love a trigger that barely moves. With an STI trigger and the take up screw, you can make your trigger so it barely moves at all. This js an obscene travel to me lol
Been looking around for a first gun, was gonna go with the SD9 2.0, but I think I'm gonna go with this instead. I don't really understand the two trigger modes but I'll have the clerk show me if he would.
You should check out the upgraded version of this gun the Taurus Gx4 carry model it won gun and ammo gun of the year in 2022 and its latest generation the gx4 carry is the p365 killer
Own the g3 and the g3c there both excellent for the price. 250..00 or better. you cant go wrong.
What I need to know right now is " how do you adjust the rear sight side to side or up or down" ?
