As someone who is newly getting into firearms, it is refreshing to find your channel focusing on practicality over style. Feels like vast majority of gun channels are only showing off several thousand dollar guns.

    Fantastic video on the 856!
I bought a stainless steel 856 in April of 2023. I’ve put something close to 1500 rounds of +P ammo thru it and it’s a great handling shooter.

The IWb option I found that provides greatest level of "invisible" comfort is where the unit had the greatest depth of set below the belt line. Designs of most Kydex versions and many others configurations I found just don't sit deep enough. However Deanna and her team at relentless tactical have a leather holster for the 856/605 snubby variations that works really well and provides that almost undetectable IWb ride, your mieage may vary. I know first hand how much $ enthusiasts can spend in search of the right holster to fit our exact body type, and I wish I had tried relentless' option first. For pocket carry, the Desantis 111 MK has hit the sweet spot for my needs. thank you for the great 856 2 inch review compilation.

excellent introduction to a basic, proven, self-defense handgun. most normal civilians who are new to handguns ought to start with a steel, not airweight, snubbie, 38sp revolver. the only drawback is 38sp ammo is pricier than 9mm.
taurus offers the best bang for buck in new revolvers. i have three. lifetime warranty. intuitive manual of arms. different grips and ammo choices make it reliably yours. pretty much ok in all anti2a jurisdictions where a handgun is allowed (taurus 856 is even on the massachusetts & california rosters).
my only complaints with these latest taurus revolvers aren’t dealbreakers: 1. too small for me factory grips are held by a very tight roll-pin, not a screw. a royal pain to tap out. i also swapped out to a hogue grip and added a bicycle inner tube over it to cover the backstrap. huge improvement to my shooting comfort. 2. ugly black finish feels dull and picks up scratches easily.
i only add that, besides practice and a decent holster, get a solid leather gun belt.
thanks for a great video, subscribed.

I was very skeptical about them at first to be honest, because of Taurus's history with other models, but the 856 and G3 really made me a believer. I didn't even think about the states with anti 2a laws but you're absolutely right. Thanks for watching, and especially the sub. Appreciate you!

I think that are worth more than they cost.
Some of others aren’t worth what they go for. It is a tool. Not a show piece.
Mine have always done what I needed it too. And once I shot it for a while the Trigger became awesome.

Interesting to note that other RUclips reviews have shown the single action pull as significantly less, closer to 3lbs.

Hey practical you ever thought about doing more higher prices fire arms. Along the lines of 500 to 600. I would like your input on the Glock line specifically Glock 30 line which will be my first purchase. Not telling you what to do but it be interesting to see more firearms in 500 price range and a little bit over to see if they are practical. Idk I just like your channel.

Dude, there are a billion videos on Glocks... Seriously, if you have that much of a hard-on for Glocks, go watch James Reeves on TFB TV. He's a diehard Glock boi and he knows his shit.

I love mine but i have to say, at the range those sights are abysmal on mine. They must be out of alignment or something . Was shooting at 10-15 yards and it was going way off to the left and down. Had to readjust my sight picture to get it on point of aim. Even happened with single action
I also have that same kydex holster, it’s way to hard to get it out of the holster
(This isn’t a skill issue either I’m with PD and scored a 94% on my qual with a Glock 45 so i for sure know proper trigger pull and grip lol)
