I have no idea why Russell Brand even knows the word Ornithological... How many times does Ornithology come up in conversation? None, is what. Lol...he's such a word geek! My favorite part about him.
Oh I can easily buy that. So much of his comedy focusses on that uniquely British sense of insecurity and embarrassment. In A Fish Called Wanda he seems to be fascinated with American forwardness. Didn't he also mention on Parkinson his 'first' was at the age of 24?! That's shy.
I do find a difference in "boys and girls" who do comedy. The men are a little aggressive and arrogant. The gals, on the other hand, want to make people laugh and feel good. Not near as arrogant or aggressive as the fellas. The bottom line,IMO, is that many great artists, comedians and actors are all a bit insecure, who struggle for attention and this manifests into artistic genius. We all have demons, but many have the uncanny ability to roll their's into gold. What a metamorphosis.
@petma Yeah...It makes me sad, I think that his answers would've been very interesting and he would fit in very well. Not to mention he would've make us the fans happy.
It doesn't matter which is funnier; these interviews are great because of the insightfulness. Although I do prefer the girl's one, since I feel an empathy for the whole age problem, and the respect (or lack thereof) comediennes get.
No no, I just thought he didn't like giving interviews. Have only seen one or two and it seemed he really didn't wanna be there. But I'll have to check out more of them then.
"How many kids were there?"
"Four, three girls and a boy. I was the boy"
Thanks for clarifying!

This has to be the most beautifully edited program to date.

Jackie Mason's father and brothers were rabbis. So was Jackie originally

From Faulty Towers. I read in his book that he knows loads of fancy words from 70's and 80's sitcoms.
