@ozzevans Well I don't know about that, he is mostly known as a comedian and when he is talking just as himself he is deliberately funny. He does a lot of different things, but he was in "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" (a comedy show) which was pretty famous in England.
I saw an old interview with Richard Pryor (on youtube) where the interviewer was trying to get cool points by putting down Steve Martin and Richard wasn't having any of. He basically said 'don't think you're going get me slag off Steve Martin, he's a great comedian'. There's no better accolade than that really.
