Big thanks to 痴女 for the suggestion for this cover. Had a couple livestreams this past weekend so I used my backup drumkit that wasn't in the car for my streams; I was too lazy to bring in all the hardware and cymbals, so here's a barebones setup.

Thank you! I put basically no effort into my drum sound but I'll take it hahaha....and yeah, Sewerslvt definitely hits a specific itch, but if she doesn't come back, she's left quite a mark already.

This fucked me up. I've been playing guitar for around 2 years, well, ''playing'', more like on and off noodling for a few weeks at a time, eventually dropping it and returning to it after a month.
I've also been going through some creative bumps for a few months that I can't seem to fully solve, but this has actually motivated me a bit to grab the instrument and give it another go, to get to this level of skill.
(and actually made me consider buying a drumkit, but sadly as much as I'd love to play like this, i don't really think a change of instrument right now would help. ahh life's hard)
Whether it's on guitar or drums, this level of skill is very possible with some 'I treat my instrument like a toy' level of practice, so I hope you keep at it

Nah dude, don't get rid of a nice kit because of me. Keep it. You'll be glad you did. You can see I have a full acoustic kit on some other vids, and a big electronic kit on others. I just play on what's available at the time, and what I feel like playing at the time. That DTX sounds awesome. That said, acoustic *always* feels better to bash (just my two cents)
@@karlfagerstrom Yes it does, everytime i go see my teacher i play on an acoustic and just the feel is incredible.. I'll take your advice and keep the DTX tho. Maybe some day i'll get a room just for a new drumkit and less neighbor to drive crazy. Love ya

Thank you 🙏 hubris gets us all eventually and no matter how high you are, you're always one or two missteps away from falling, so I believe you should appreciate what you have and never get too high on your own metaphorical farts. There are some drummers that changed the game forever - and even said they sought out to do so - but still stayed humble the whole time (like one of my faves, Zach Hill). I don't see why we can't all be like that (not just drummers, but all creators and people in general). Either way, thank you for taking the time to comment on this silly little channel.

Your style of drumming (utilizing the whole kit as an instrument rather than just a metronome) makes me want to recommend the band Toe if you haven't listened to them already! Thank you! I'm probably half self-taught, half trained, I guess..? I teach lessons too and try to let students have the freedom that I didn't always get with some of my teachers (others were awesome, though). Also this was probably take number 8 or 10, that helps with the relaxation haha (when I play live I tend to get too aggro on the kit sometimes)
