The panel really should have had this one, HAHA to them. And their not guessing correctly had nothing to do with what the host said, as Arlene tried to whine, was just their own cluelessness.
Great show and I've watched many of these TV oldies from the 50's. I love this gal June as she is the spitting image (body & all) of my first love (Helen). This girls only (minor) flaw is a rather big nose but it was the same size & look as Helen's. Identical! Last saw her about 27 years ago but I get goose bumps just watching this. Oh well...
let's not put jack carter in hal block's company. some say that the character played by billy crystal in mr. saturday night was a hybrid of red buttons and jack carter. nothing wrong with jack's act.
My mom was a Rockette in their 2nd yr of infancy...she will be 98 in January and has lived with us the last 8 yrs....
Please post proof pronto, pics preferred
@@joeambrose3260 Wow! Just wow!!!!!
I don't know why they're complaining about the music. Mr Daly said several times & the guest did too, that music was a part of it.
Jack is so awkward, glad he wasn't around for long. Thanks for sharing! What a charming guest :)
How can music put you off the dancing Arlene, you dance to music.
Not every day you see a left-handed guest on these shows.
I agree. For sure, Carter is a rough-hewn bloke, but unlike Block he's not a desperate, clinging slob.
Thanks very much for the post.
$50 would be a good night on the town in Manhattan in 1954.
Equal to over $400 in 2020 dollars.
Would be a good night in my neighborhood today
A lot of the guest panelists were like fish out of water; not just Jack Carter.
John Daily has the most complicated comb-over. 😄
No Hair club for men then
With his voice and intelligence he hardly needed to worry about appearance, but that's show biz!
I often place the dot over another letter than the i.
I thought they had it three different times.
This must've been an early one, they didn't think to mention acting, dancing, comedy, lecturing...
Million dollar smile
you are correct..I asked what year they started...not who they were

Totally Fooled! Love it!

According to inflation calculator more like 480 usd :)
haha..I know what the Rockettes are..Ive live in Manahttan since 1987..Ive even known 2 over the years.
I'd be there. ALONE.
Did contestants ever go on this show with the purpose of Public Relations or to promote "The Rockettes" in this case?
This was relatively easy, they dragged it out to fill time
Someone should drag you out to fill time.
Wonder what his wife thought of his flirting on national TV?
Arlene must have been drunk when she married Gabel.

Your parents must've been stoned. Constantly.
I just plain do not like the guest panelist on this one. He was a fish out of water with our beloved John, Arlene, Bennett, and Dorothy.
Why did Arlene marry a dwarf like Gabel?
Jack is a jerk, not bright.

Why does anyone put up with you? You dumb duushbag.
