After driving the previous F-Type and many sports coupes in this segment such as the Lexus LC 500, Mercedes AMG GT, C8 Corvette, Toyota Supra, and more, I've determined the new Jaguar F-Type continues to be an excellent choice. The 2021 F-Type offers much of what the previous car did but with a slight twist which I cover in the review.

Very interesting content. Thanks. I had a boxster and sold to get an FTYPE V6 for the sound. The Porsches are too expensive for me and these were an incredible value in the used market. Love it.
To me, lines are important. This car, like almost all Jaguars is gorgeous. Spec sheets are just paper, how it looks, feels, and drives are how I decide what to buy. I would prefer the LC500 for my personal consumption, but love them both. Great review.

Just bought an Lc yesterday. If you’re thinking. Right now is the best time. 2021 for 1.9 financing will put you around 2000-2100 a month with 10,000 down. The 2022 have higher rates.

@@MeynMotorGroup thank you. I think we’re about the same age. So it is what sold me on the car honestly. Everyone kept saying blah blah get a Porsche. I’m interested in the overall feel of the vehicle. It’s just a whole different level. Idk if you’ve seen but there are not that many of these things sold. We’ve got a shot at classic car designation which would be great for the depreciation or even wishful thinking appreciation
You're right they sell like less than 100 units in certain months it will be appreciated when they stop making it.

I've considered v6 only (v8 quite an overkill) and test drove one, but now I'm starting to lean more towards i4 having seen the packaging of v6 - that's a v8 block with 2 cylinders blanked. So you're carrying so much redundant weight. And the engine bay is very tight, no oil dipstick as well... Just makes it a lot more complicated to have as 2nd-3rd owner and that does his own maintenance. Yeah, 4 cyl isn't as sweet, that v6 is magical, but at least you're 300 pounds lighter.
Would be interesting to compare this with the old XK (2007-2013). A super value in the used market.
Yea always wanted to try the old XK loved the looks of it unfortunately the interior suffers from the same issues as this F Type
I just bought the 2022 F-type R. Your video was excellent. I tested the AMG GTC, Porsche GTS and the C8 and chose the Jaguar. About $50,000 cheaper than the Germans and $30,000 than the C8 ( if you wait for a year!). The Lexus wasn’t even considered due to it’s design language. The AMG was my second choice.
You are totally wrong about the interior! I have 20 year old X-type with even more plastic and it doesn’t flex or creak at all. The Meridian system is great but you cannot compare it to the Range Rover because the F-type doesn’t have the acoustic volume for bass or ceiling speakers or a trunk subwoofer etc…They focused on clarity when driving with the top down rather than the boom. The ergonomics are far superior with the F-type which is why they never changed it much. You can operate all the critical functions without taking your eyes off the road. No car goes from comfort to dynamic as easy and quickly as the F-type.
Tip: Film yourself getting in and out of roadsters. People have no idea how low these cars. You gotta be in shape. Most RUclipsrs struggle to get in and out and can barely fit into roadsters (Smoking Tire, Demurro et.) I like that your video was more factual than tap dancing like those other guys.

@@MeynMotorGroup Thanks! One update though. The sound system DOES have a bass boom. It varies based on what decoder you use and the quality of your source. Today I played some Hip Hop via a thumb drive and used the DTS decoder and it DOES sound close to the Range Rover bass! Definitely worth the upgrade. I mainly play jazz and R and B but it’s good to know I can rock Dub Step from time to time!

I heard Jaguar is dropping the other engines for the F-type. Only the V8 will be offered for 2022. I'm not sure if it's the 5.0 V8 or BMW's 4.4 V8 from the Range Rover.
i like the previous front end better .4cyl its a flex only spec on this car when you can have a manual V6 or a an amazing V8. Btw pretty sure the stock footage you put in the video were on portuguese roads

Hello i own an f type s v6 380hp and let me tell you it does not feel like a v6 you guys won’t regret buying it and i also own a 250p f pace and i got your point when you said most v4 cars after 80 miles feel less fast and yes the car gives you it’s maximum performance when its accelerating and then becomes still after sorry if my english isn’t perfect it’s my 2nd language .

Had an odd epiphany watching this video. There are now multiple Jaguars I’d like to own: Ipace, fpace SVR and a v8 Ftype. Weird cause none of these cars are new. I haven’t really thought about Jaguars since I was a kid in the 80s when I thought the xj6 looked cool. I know porsche or Lexus are the smarter choices but I just kinda want a Jaaaaag now

The F-Type transmission is a ZF 8 speed...

The texture near the metal is called quilting, and on a car of that price to have such cheap arse materials is totally unacceptable.

Well thanks for you review of the worst F-Type money can buy. Everyone else please don't buy this car! Everything he has told you is true but none of it matter if you drive a 2015 F-Type R coupe as this is the last year it is also a true GT car. After 2015 the F-TYPE R is coupe all wheel drive making it a sports car. I'll also be upfront and tell you there is a cooling pipe that has to be replaced if it has not been done already and the supercharger has to come off to do it. So while this is being done change all the belts and the water pump. I spend 50K then about 5K more to get things strait. With all that said you can't buy a more crazy car! Just take any Dodge commercial where they are smoking tires and getting sideways with crazy sounds and insert the 2015 F-Type R Coupe. The difference will be you will look good doing it. Also it should be noted you will leave all but a Tesla S Plaid in the dust. The reason you need the coupe is because it is almost 80% stiffer than the convertible and I thing it just looks better. Also you will not see another one on the road every time you go for a weekend drive. One more thing you should thing about. This should be your second car a car for fun only! In 2015 they only produced about 650 of these cars and of that only about 20% were "R" and most of them are wrecked making this a very rare true GT car to have. Remember only 2015 F-Type R is a GT car after that it's a sports car. Also projector headlights is a classic styling queue taken from the E-Type it was designed to succeed.
