      Thats the issue anymore.. No honesty. No hard word.. People just want fast, easy cash.. If something is listed with "As Is" and doesnt list any issues (not just cars, anything ) I usually skip right over it... I was a seller of antiques, collectables and tools... If something wasn't perfect I would always be upfront and mention it in the ad a few times.. then throw as is in there.. fair is fair

    A buddy of mine detailed the cars for the US Marshalls in Pittsburgh and he told me some horror stories about interior stains. They used what they called universal stain remover. Cheap spray paint close in shade to the carpeting works wonders. Lots of light coats and those blood stains disappear!

      @jpcheco 3 года назад

      Yes, some people consider that checking an doing brakes are more important than say, pressure washing the carpets. The reason is that lives are involved, and that we arecsure Mike would agree.
      Same for checking the fluids. That car could have been low on oil... the emphasis was more on the aesthetics....
      He was dealing with a returning customer... that is gettin a car for a child, a most dear person.
      What about at least blowing off the engine compartment??
      We are talking about a few more dollars for doing a thorough job, and about a satisfaction that comes together with a better business reputation.
      Any way, it is his business and we have to respect his way of doing things.

    I actually banged a lot of it out with just the heel of my hand, then tapped it some more with a hammer. I need to find my body tool set to see if I want to try to get further with it but already it's light enough I could just fill it with bondo if I wanted.

    Beard - While I was watching the video I was thinking 🤔 you know Beard is right he should just tap out the dent and call it good, but in the back of my mind I’m thinking Beard is a bit of perfectionist I bet he goes all out to fix it right and to no surprise you made that car look great, and that why I watch you really nice to see an honest man doing things right!

    The interior looks similar to the $500 2009 Hyundai Elantra I got for my daughter 4 years ago. It had a light hit in the front that just required a new headlight and pulling the radiator support back into shape. There was no saving the carpet on that thing. Had to get another from the junkyard. A bunch of cleaning and some simple maintenance made it a great car. She’s still driving it and it’s been trouble free with over 200,000 miles on the clock

    This brings back memories. I bought one of these brand new. Fully loaded. 5 speed stick. Was a nice car. I put about 120.000 miles on it. I took good care of it, and only had to replace tires twice, brakes once, and a new battery. Still looked and ran like new when I sold it.

    Its amazing what some ambition and elbow grease can accomplish. Most people buying a car in this price range just wants it to run good. When they are clean and the AC works, they fight over them. I'll bet you would take 100 more just like it ...Good for you Mr. Beard.
