Eddie’s lift will be exceeded one day, but it hardly matters. To jump almost 40kg from his own existing record and become the first half-tonne deadlifter in history... no one can ever take that from The Beast.

Ashley Garvin It is 100% the most insane leap of development I can think of in any sport. Which other long-established sport (competitive weightlifting is literally as old as humans) has ever taken an individual shove forward like that from anyone? Sergei Bubka in the pole vault, maybe, but he did it increments, not one huge superhydrated leap.

After listening to interviews of Eddie after the 500k lift, I can't help but feel for him in his slurred speech. If anyone doesn't know, at that moment his brain was bleeding, and he blacked out twice after the lift and once more after the speech. His blood pressure was through the roof and he was going blind in these moments. The fact he managed to make that speech and still remain with that classic Eddie Hall "fuck off dad" humor is quite astonishing. He's a real trooper if I've ever seen one!

It had lot of help to get their, and also mind control so he was able to flick something in his brain and said lets get out their when he did. He was looking at the judge with aggression then needed a moment of silents then when pulled the bar closed his eye and a blank mind. Lifted it with eyes open up because so much force brought down on him it change the color of his eyes It's one crazy experience and that's a trooper

Every interview he has some new side effect and story about it. Also he said himself he refused to go to hospital. If he had a brain bleed he’d likely be dead. He wouldn’t be walking round less than a minute after it supposedly happened. At minimum he’d have been rushed to hospital.

@Jamal Schlongnyabut Did you saw eddie´s MRI or CT? Me neither but following his narrative all symptoms and time of presentation match somewhat of a TIA or even a stroke. Indeed he had afasia, aberrant movements, sudden loss of muscle tone, stumbling, loss of memory and complete or partial losses of conciousness on multiple occasions. He barely took weeks to fully recover either because elite athletes usually take far less to recover and recover much better than normal patients or because it was just a TIA and not a stroke. Either way his brain was clearly suffering and he was taking it like a champ. Finally not all strokes present equally, specially not with paralysis, it depends on the isquemic area. PD: english is not my first language so excuse me for any grammar mistake :P
