When Eddie lifted 420 like a broomstick, everyone knew history was going to be made that day.
That is no joke at all man!!! Like seriously WTF@@@
51:45 Even his 465kg looked easy for him that day. I mean, it went up so fast... we should not forget it was the new world record before his 500kg.
53:10 And the fact that he said " *This is still a warm-up* " 😆 !
Maybe the most short lived record in deadlifting?

@Aaron Davis hahahahah i was thinking wow people, you are doing very well and then this happened XD
"Congratulations Eddie Hall, you're the King" That was cool by Benny. He's such a humble dude, I met him a few years ago at the arnolds. Such a humble and chill dude and super easy to chat with
In case you didnt know, he also has a youtube channel
"Eddie is gonna struggle"
Boy did Kaz eat those words
Lol 😂
He did to be fair the lockout the bleeding the hitch
I think the guy at 9:50 doesn't get the credit he deserves, weighing in at only 109kg and not being 'obese looking' like all other strongmen. Yet he deadlifts such a huge weight with great form. Great strength.
You dont knoW Derks?
Yeah I wouldn’t guess he’s 109kg, more like 90kg +
same with bishop
Being lighter tends to actually be beneficial for deadlifting. It allows you to get in a better position and lighter guys tend to get more out of a suit.
@@adamwg10 nah what that don’t make sense, I’m lighter than them doesn’t mean I lift more
500kg dead lift by the beast.....never gets old 💪🏽
I'm looking really forward now to watching Wembley 2019 in 3 years.
lol
And what did u see ?
NaNo Q8 that the first place was no where near 500kg 😂😂😂😂
1:18:32 Eddie shouts 'GET OFF ME' and they all move at once lol
The alpha has spoken
he told everybody to get off him because in order to mentally prepare him for the lift in his mind he imagined something so terrifying he wouldn't dare to tell anyone. That's what he said in an interview. It might be ripping somebody to pieces with his hands or something even more sinister. To get into the mental state for such an impossible lift, according to Eddie, it is necassary to strongly picture something absolutely atrocious, whatever that may be...
@@kooroshrostami27 I know that i also saw the interview, i was just mentioning that moment.
@@Kasuro it's really crazy what people put themself through for such superhuman performances. This goes beyond just dedication, it seems like you have to sacrifice a part of your sanity as well. Eddie also mentioned that a moment like this with all the adrenaline and endorphinse ecstasy involved produces such a great high feeling that a state of depression will inevitably succeed it.
@Ricky I was about to ask the same question!!
Eddie Hall's lifts
420kg - 21:44
465kg - 51:30
500kg - 1:16:07
It is beautiful to see Eddy pulling the 500, its emotional
I don't fucking care what the world says, i freakin cried watching this, as i fan of ed i knew every detail of his deadlift and I've seen this footage a million times but this is the first time I've seen the entire show and this time I don't know why but I felt the lift like never before, i cried ... truly cried, even im surprised at it, i felt it when he said about how many hours he spent on this.... TRULY THE BEAST and the best, I'll brag bout it for weeks as if i lifted 500
Man,honestly I’m in the same situation right now.
I’ve seen this lift a thousand times, but this time I’ve watched the entire event and I literally cried. This is what we men were made to do.
It's because we are always being told how weak we humans are. That the average Chimp, or Orangutan could just overpower any human, we are so weak, not Eddie Hall in his prime here! Only a Silverback Gorilla is stronger. He told the world here, the strongest of men, is truly mighty indeed!
same bro
lol gayyyyy
Damn, Eddie was huge back then.
Like he is small now... :-D
He was dangerously huge, he needed all that mass muscle and sadly the fat that came with it to lift 500kgs, luckily he has slimmed down a bit.
He was about 398lb/181kg when he did the 500kg just under 400lb
@@haventhebeast6050 No he was almost 200 Kg.
@@haventhebeast6050 I think he was more like 193kg
Watching this for about the tenth time, and one big thing I’d forgotten was Mark Felix lifting 420kg, and his huge smile afterward. We’re so lucky to have this living legend still walking amongst us. A superb competitor for multiple decades, a huge heart and one of the great ambassadors for the sport. Eddie Hall talks about Felix’s presence at Hall’s first strongman show being a big encouragement - has anyone else been so immersed in the sport?
Mark is a great guy, but don't forget, his longevity has a lot to do with how late he started with Strongman.
i could watch the 500kg lift every day
Do it.... lol
On that day. Eddie were on a whole other lever than the rest. All 3 lifts were godlike. Even to this day, it's insane

22:26 amazing how Eddie lift that in under a second. The whole crowd knew that he was not talking shit when he said he was gonna lift 500KG…
Some these guys are practicing their whole lives to lift the weight Eddie warmed up with
He made 465 look a lot easier than Thor with the weight he lifted. No way Thor can lift 500 yet
Thor deadlifted 473 without a suit
@@EDLadyGuap Actually that's a good point. So yes, you are right, with a suit he'd probably be able to do it.
Young Aesthetics On an elephant bar, mind you. The dynamics of the lift are different.
Because the elephant bar is longer, the point in which the lift is hardest is different, you get a different sticking point. For the first bit, an elephant bar makes it much easier compared to a traditional DL. Thor got it to his knees, and stopped at the hardest point. You have to stabilize the elephant bar more. If Thor completely dedicated himself to the deadlift and put on the weight?
Maybe possible. But he wasn’t close to the 500 at all.
He won’t get it however, because Thor isn’t like Eddie who was risking his life every day, knowing if he got the 500kg and the WSM, he would quit. Thor has a long and bountiful career ahead of him hopefully, so if it happens it will be in MANY years.
Also, WSM is getting lighter so it wouldn’t benefit him to put on weight.
@@EDLadyGuap suits provide very little help
@@Theta117 it helps you from the start +20~30KG

I love watching strongman do the incredible 🤠👍
Pritchit and Maggneson had a really long wait for the 500.
I wonder if it messed them up or they cooled down too much. Especially since Jerry got injured.
In 10 minutes you're stone cold anyway, Eddie had to wait half an hour, you have to keep yourself warm. They will have wanted as much rest between pulls as possible anyway.
@@jimjiggles1474 Jerry said he was made to wait too long and cooled down, which is why he got his hamstring pull. He wanted less rest.
Excuse
Who is here after Thor lifted 470kg today.
I came to compare Eddie's 465 to Hafthor's 470. Hard to say which was smoother
Jan Jerman Me too .. I hate to say it,but Eddies was faster.
For sure eddie was faster
I can’t believe that Kaz thought Eddie would struggle with the 500. He made the 465 look easier than jerry
He was a fool for dat and as a neutral host u need to be encouraging instead of gloom ING doubt. But then again the hate only makes a person want to make u eat ur words. Maybe that's what fuelled Eddie and maybe got to Pritchetts head

Are you stupid. How can the brain show through the skull
Zack E did you even read what he said, “it looks like” there’s a difference between that and his brains are showing through his skull
My blood pressure is through the roof just by watching this video
I’ve watched any left that probably over 20 times and every time I tear up when he surrounded by his family and knowing he was willing to die to get that record. It’s going to be very tough for someone to get that
i honestly thought this since eddie completed the 500kg lift, but after watching the WUS 2019 deadlift comp and seeing Rauno Heinla lift 450kg like it was nothing..it might be sooner than we think. Do I think he can do 500kg right now? probably not, BUT even Eddie, Brians, and Martins said he had A LOT left in the tank. I also think we could be talking about TWO men pulling 500kg. Pritchett could have pulled it had he not torn his hamstring trying, it was coming off the floor FAST and tearing his hamstring was what stopped him from pulling it. I honestly think Rauno will be the next to pull 500kg. Jerry hasn't tried since 2016, at least not in competition
Cpt Horriku I really hope someone does it sooner rather than later because Eddie said the only way he ever does that again is if someone beats it and if they do he would attempt it again. He said what nearly killed him was holding it up that one because if you don’t know he told a story for about a month after that he went blind had bad headaches random nosebleeds he literally had memory loss as well. But I definitely want to see someone beat it so Eddie comes back and does it again
Cpt Horriku But I also agree Pritchett is someone I think could also do it
Cpt Horriku Reinla can 100% do it if he trains enough and maybe gets into the same type of mental state that Eddie had to get into. Also Ivan Makarov is close to doing it
@@soulessshadow5356 The difference between 450kg and 500kg is more than just 50kg.
The best thing I've ever seen is the closed caption on this video calling Laurence Shahlaei being translated to "Lauren Charlie"
