- NEW & EXCLUSIVE look at the unstoppable RISE of Strongman EDDIE "The Beast" HALL.
Filmmaker Andrew B Quinn analyses the extraordinary career of the British WORLD'S STRONGEST MAN Winner in Part 1 of the series. The BEAST shot to fame with his annihilation of the Deadlift World Record in 2016. However, it was a long road that Eddie travelled to achieve his goal of winning the WSM title. One in which he transformed his body and the Sport of Strongman - both growing to never seen before proportions.
The series includes a look at the famous 500kg World Record in Deadlift - the HALF-TONNE lift! It left Eddie battered, bruised & bleeding, but proved to himself and the World at large that he had the X-factor in Strength. When you mix in the body charm of a man fighting against his natural rebellious nature, you end up with a cocktail of pure, raw entertainment that was appreciated not only by the hardcore strength fans but his charisma also propelled him into the public eye.
This Documentary portrays all aspects of his extraordinary character from the beginning of Eddie's Strongman career - right up to his World Record of 500kg/1102lb Deadlift in 2016 - with UNSEEN - behind the scenes - FOOTAGE leading up to that famous night and never-seen-before archive from his early career.
Featuring:
Eddie HALL - World's Strongest Man 2017.
Hafþór Júlíus BJORNSSON - World's Strongest Man 2018.

Eddie Hall - is he the most influential strongman in living memory?
Well each generation had some great ones, however this one is blessed with many. What Big Z, Brain, Eddie and Halfthor has done for the sport is tremendous.
no - 1 wsm - and a good spindoctor that have made it look like he have 10 - not even close ( more a showman ) and thats ok to memory is key
He's definitely not the greatest strongman, but there could be an argument there for one of the most inspirational yes. After all he did something most didnt think possible with lifting half a ton, also made other lifts look ridiculously easy like his axle press and nearly killed himself to win wsm. If that's not influential what is. Imo in terms of the best strongman era you just cant ignore Big Z, Thor, Shaw and Hall. They're all incredible strongmen.
No he's not brian and big z's career is much more impressive than him.
@@amankhalsa5436 influence isn't always direct on success both Eddie and Halfthor are famous and bring people to strongman that wouldn't have been fans otherwise. Brian and Big Z represents the pinnacle and most successfull in the sport and their influence will be different . It's a tough question as you can't measure it.
This guy deserved the name “The Beast”

Thor's 501 was great but Eddie's 500 is the greatest. I get goosebumps everytime i see Eddie's 500
The difference is eddie was the first to do 500, even if people do more now, eddie was the first to beat the myth.
Eddie is the first human in recorded history to ever lift 500kg increasing the past wr from 465kg to 500 which is insane
Eddie gave way in giving confidence to strongmen that it IS possible. That's legendary.
@@bassinblue Eddie brought charisma back in strong man. It has been missing for a while.
Me too.
I get goosebumps everytime I see the confidence in his face after he pulled the 500.
So much respect for this man
As much respect as I have for Eddie, I think we all know him holding that 500kg for as long as he did almost became what caused the world to watch Eddie Hall die in the same breath he pulled that 500kg with. Even Eddie himself said he made a mistake holding it for that long because of the damage it done to him and almost became his ultimate downfall.

It's just high-pitched. Not talking from his stomach. That's all.
This man’s physical presence is absolutely stunning. I’m a former competitive gymnast who weighs 101 lbs at 5’1”. I understand commitment to achieving a virtually unachievable goal. Now, I’m older and on my 4th back surgery, 3rd shoulder surgery, 2nd elbow surgery. I now have titanium hardware in my neck and lower back.
His ability to overcome pain is unimaginable to me. I’ve only very recently discovered who he is and I cannot get enough. His commitment melts this lady’s brain. I have nothing but mad respect for him and what he’s achieved. Amazing...just amazing.
Mad respect for gymnasts, youre all bloody ninjas
Richard S-C - Thank you however, I’ve paid an extreme price for my commitment to the sport. My orthopedic surgeons all insist I’ll continue to pay for the remainder of my life. BUT, I sure had a helluva a LOT of fun through those years.
My ability to put a singular goal in my head is what’s gotten me through the surgeries and the recoveries... the recovery process following spinal fusion can be slow and astronomically painful (for me, anyway).
Sorry to hear that and I'm not trying to be a troll but I think not getting surgery is the way to go. My doctors told me I need at least 3 different ones from my neck to my lumbar from injuries I obtained in the army and I refused them. I took myself off the pain meds 6 months ago as well and I'm back to deadlifting heavy weight again. Shit I thought I'd never be able to do again. My army buddy got back surgery and has a permanent weight restriction and is in more pain now than before his surgerys. And that's the consensus from everyone I've talked to that's gotten back surgery. I'm still in massive amounts of pain but the stronger my back gets the better I can deal with it.

Even though I've seen it many times, I still get emotional every time I see Eddie pull the 500kg. There's something about witnessing people doing extraordinary things which reminds me of how amazing, powerful and beautiful the human race is. From time to time I need that reminder.

@@mexicanwarrior4931 I bet you’d love to taste his bacon.
A 6'3 400 lb pig that can deadlift 1100 pounds and shoulder press 476 pounds. Oh and he's won swimming titles and has lightning fast hands in the boxing ring
@Paul Vu I'll respect it more if he does it away from his own gym in front of a huge crowd after waiting for a dozen other lifters to sweat all over the same bar and platform he's using
@Paul Vu I too can lift 501 kg in my basement, competition is another thing.
Eddie is responsible for getting me into strongman training. He's influential to me even if he isn't to others.
Good for you man! 👍
How often do you train? How long sessions? I read that strongmen train each muscle group once per week because the muscles get worked alot
Same reason I got into it. I set a goal of competing in a strongman event by the time I'm 30, a little over seven years left to do it.
Look up the commentator Bill Kazmaier. That guy was the GOAT for many years. His RAW powerlifiting total of 2425 was not beaten until 2020. He set the record in 1981. Of all the old strongmen, only Paul Anderson and Bill Kazmaier could compete in the Arnold Classic and have a chance to win today.
If you wonder what are the two letters on his chest, it's the Chinese character (力) meaning strength/ power

Cheers m8 .always wondered about that
At 12:20 when Laurence held Eddie's hand in the air and declared him the champ, that was the finest sportsmanship I have ever seen in life. Had me emotional and motivates me to keep getting stronger

Amazing videography, you can see the effort put in, love it man
I'm not the biggest Eddie fan, but to be at a very high level in deadlift and then add 100 kg in 5 years is pretty amazing.
When he pulled the 500 and the good folk of leeds stood up roaring and applauding him, I must admit, that my chest was pumped out full of pride and had tears in my eyes.
Eddie hall....what a fookin' legend, man! 🏴 🤟
Big love from India. A big fans of Eddie Hall
Love how he changed straps for deadlift to prevent him dropping it in future, it's those little details that made him an absolute champion
Yeah, Thor pulled 501 kg staying in his own comfort zone and broke the record 👌. But, the excitement and the rush can never be compared to the moment when Eddie Hall pulled that 500 kg (first ever 500 in history) in front of the huge audition in an event, it set a milestone in the history of strongmen that will go on to be remembered. Even his 462 kg deadlift record in front of Arnold was really an alpha moment itself.
Records are broken sooner or later and is a good motivational point for the one trying to get there.. I´m pretty sure Eddie would have stayed in strongman some more months and go for 505 if he knew Haftor was going to beat his record later xD
@@marcusnorberg8498 to be fair eddie seems to be the more constant of the two on dead lifts in public events compared to haftor from what ive noticed which does seem odd

I like how unbiased this channel is, it’s not like they only spam one strongman competitor going so far as to make a video trying to tarnish another competitor to in favor of the first... wait
ShadowTron exactly, what’s the thing people remember Eddie for? The deadlift. When people mention Thor, you think of 501kg, wsm, GOT, etc. Eddie didn’t really do much for the sport imo except set a couple records, never really won anything internationally except wsm whilst Thor and many others have tons of international titles
Sneaky Pranks bruh wtf are you talking about 😂 you’re really milking the wsm ‘17. I guess if we’re going into it, notice how for a long time deadlift events in WSM was a max reps/deadlift hold, 2016 and 2017 it was a max deadlift (coincidentally when Eddie was the record holder in the deadlift 🤔), then after Eddie won, it switched back to other variations (car deadlift for reps/deadlift hold) you can’t argue facts that WSM ‘16 and ‘17 was set up for Eddie taking out the Thor situation
I must write, its not that this beast is arrogant, its that he knew he could do it, and he did it.
The mankind must present a tribute of canons to this world strongest man!
The fact that he is known as a THE BEAST and he has a scar on his left side of his face that goes through this eyebrow and eye is badass

@@oilconsultant9138 Most of the reason Thor never gets a fair treatment on this channel is because he dared to publicly say that one WSM event was unfairly judged. They've been doing every little thing possible since then to tarnish or erase his massive legacy.
The reason you don’t see as many videos of Thor is because he has the charisma of a brick. He’s an amazing strongman, but personality gets attention.
