This looks great. It’ll be fun to make vegan. There’s lots of plant based vegan equivalents to whole milk so no need to say it won’t have the richness.
I'd like to keep watching this video but the way her voice keeps going up at the end of every sentence is....enough to make me look at just the recipe instead or maybe CC. sorry
not as horrifying as your ignorance and obvious lack of worldliness. She’s Hungarian/Transylvanian. it’s actually a VERY common cadence not only for some European countries and check out Tagalog in Philippines. same thing. I pray you find a brain and get a clue
What does 'feeling frisky' mean? Sounds sexual to me. English isn't my first language! PS: I know frisk means to superficially check if someone is hiding something illegal on their person.
That's not an unreasonable amount of salt, especially when compared with a traditional loaded baked potato soup. She's using a kosher salt so the crystals are bigger than table salt. Unless someone is on a low sodium diet for health reasons is really hard to get too much salt if you're cooking everything from scratch. Trust me, there's so much hidden sodium in processed food. This might look like a lot of salt, but it's not.
The explanations of why and the timing of the additions of ingredients was very informative. Not a norm for the cooking videos I have watched.

I love the "purple potatoes if you're feeling frisky" line from Carolina
I made it for dinner tonight, swapped the russets for sweet potatoes and it was delicious!
Really ? Does not sound good, I do love sweet potatoes but was it savory or sweet?
@@llm4187 it was savory! The scallions have lots of lemon and brought a lot of flavor to the soup
Love potato soup, and this one sounds amazing, with the topping and cheese - can't wait to try it :)
Wow that's awesome!! I love it!!
made this soup tonight, and the topping, was insanely good
Cannot wait to try this! I love Carolina's recipes and videos.
A good, heavy, stock pot with decent heat conduction really does make this a lot easier to do well. That looks like a lovely soup for fall.
This looks fabulous!!! Thank you for this!!!
I have been cooking for a long time her hints and explanations are good! This would be good for newbies .
That topping looks like it would go great on noodles!! I'll have to make extra when I try this :)
that looks fabulous
Is that a milk glass pour measuring cup!? i love it! Rare find
i cannot eat dairy but stealing the scallion topping idea for other stuff. looks amazing
I recently discovered SO Delicious coconut based heavy cream and shredded dairy free cheeses so I’m gonna make this using the dairy free alternatives!
That soup looks great but that scallion topping is a game changer.
Also, is that a cordless immersion blender???
Look very delicious 🤤 😋
The perfect soup for the time of year...thanks so much :)
So charmed by your charmingness.
caroline i know you from tik tok! i didnt know you were a big fancy person at food52 !!!
"Beauuuuutifullll"
She's so pretty 😍
Why couldn't you chop the scallion and lightly sautee them?? 😐
What’s with the books turned backwards to hide the titles?

I agree. So many great dairy alternatives are available now, no need to give up any flavor, texture or richness.
I thought olive oil wasn't ideal for high heat.

One hundred percent. She’s incredibly repetitive in that up talking and sounds like she’s had a lobotomy
😍😍😍😍👍
The *UPTALK* is horrifying.

same thing.

In this context, frisky means adventurous
so much salt though…. one portion of it covers the whole daily allowance

I agree it's too much salt but (assuming she uses Diamond Crystal kosher salt) it's the whole daily allowance for the entire pot (2240 mg).
I’m also talking about the cheese content etc!!
So use less salt. It's not rocket science.
@@IMakeupStuff Agreed. It’s useful to warn people though
Hospital soup.
