@Geo Thomas I agree that the tube amps were better than the current solid state ones. I primarily meant the mics and speakers. There is a lot of crackling from the mics in nearly every recording I've heard. The remasters take out much of it, but it does detract from the fullness of the sound.

Glad to see that India gave us some notes about the origins of the Righteous Brothers. One thing that she mentioned was that Phil Spector was heavily involved in the formation of the singing duo. More interesting, for several years, Phil Spector was married to Ronnie Spector, who founded and was the lead singer for the Ronettes. In fact, Ronnie took Phil's surname as her professional name for the duration of her career. "Be My Baby" is one of the premier soul songs of early 60s American music and one of my all-time favorites.

The Righteous Brothers were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame on March 10, 2003. Bobby Hatfield (1940-2003) the short tenor among "the brothers", only had 8 months to enjoy his Hall Of Fame Status, before dying from a hear attack in November 2003. Bill Medley, the tall bass-baritone, was also born in 1940. He's still going strong and and his 79th birthday will be in September 2019. The Righteous Brothers were each 24 years old when they had their monster-selling, huge first hit "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" early in 1965. Only one song they did before "Lost That Loving Feeling", called "Little Lupe Lu" barely made the bottom of the charts of Billboard's Top 100.

OH, how I love the Righteous Brothers. I was a teen when they were performing and I still love them.
