Mongolia never tried to eradicate the ethnic identity of Kazakhs. However look what happened to Manchus? Their language died out and they have all been sinicized under Chinese rule. It does not only apply to Inner Mongolians but tibetans uygyrs etc. Those people are not Han Chinese.
