Thanks for this very informative video. After watching it, I was able to competently change my turn switch harness on my 1979 Ford Bronco XLT 351 MV8 and saved myself $790.00 which is what the shop wanted to charge me. Thanks again!
@@jnhernandez8692 I'm glad to help out and save you the money! That's pricy for what they wanted to charge. I believe it's way more satisfying getting the job done yourself.
Im gonna go buy this part and the steering wheel puller. Hopefully it fixes my issue with passenger side brake light:being much dimmer than driver side brake light/not even working.
This should help but I would also trace your wiring back to the tail lights to make sure it's not shorting out somewhere along the frame or in the light housing.
Looking to do this to my 1978 f250 ford 4x4 truck and the link it shows its for 87-91 and I am wondering if there may be a different one of ir that one will work with my truck. Thanks
It looks like the link I provided is out of stock. Here's a new link - amzn.to/3XFcIHd This one is for the automatic transmission no tilt column with light. Here's the different part numbers based on column and transmission configurations. D8TZ-13341-B - Automatic transmission and has the light D8TZ-13341-C - Manual transmission D8TZ-13341-A - Tilt steering column
@92Inquieto, No I have not done one before. But I do have slop in mine and want to look into it soon. Is your shift lever and punch pin still in place?
I understand your pain! I had the same problem with mine. Make sure you have a good pick set to pull it apart. I included a video link below focusing on getting that pesky plug apart. 70's Ford Turn Signal Harness Connector - ruclips.net/video/C38Kg0iuQ3g/видео.html
@ronrosenthal9595 Part number D8TZ-13341-C is for manual transmission, 13341-B is for automatic transmission and has the light, and 13341-A is for tilt steering column

Only video I've found that shows how to change the gear selector display light bulb. Thank you.
I'm glad my video helped you out. I hope it went smoothly!
Extremely helpful, only video on RUclips that gets into this detail and exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
@user-bw5lg5xl3l, thank you sir!

You probably have a bad ground on the bulb socket. I’ve had to replace them to get lights working on those old fords.
@@1971_Chevelle_SS thanks for the tip!
@@1971_Chevelle_SS yup it was the socket

Awesome tutorial man. Looking forward to doing this in the spring on my 73'.
Does this signal self cancel?
@wittysgarage, thank you, yes it does self cancel when you turn back.
@@jacobsupgrades awesome. Will definitely pick one up here soon. Thanks again. 🤘🏻😎
Have you ever done a shift tube inside the column?
Mine broke on my 76

Collar and lever are good, but I think it’s the tube inside. Can’t find a good video on it.
I'm about 2 hours in and still can't get this 🤬 clip undone

Don’t see the part number for the turn signal harness, can you post?
@ronrosenthal9595, I have seen both part numbers D8TZ-13341B or D8TZ-13341-C. This one on amazon has the new connector attached - amzn.to/45MK6iE

@@RyanUlrich-p8d thank you for clarifying those part numbers and which column and transmission.
