It shouldn't amaze me that we grow old, but there's a clip on youtube of the Ikette on the far left of the screen showing her in a nursing home with a breathing tube. She was being interviewed of her days with Ike and Tina.
Besides the point of this amazing performance, but I cant believe she's wearing thigh high boots. Her stage outfits were so ahead of their time cause now every female singer wears those.

Who would of ever dreamed , that 50 years later . Our music would've taken such a devastating and horrific turn !!! Into what it has become today .🤔 . We went from saying " I wanna take you higher " . Which could've meant . Spiritually , politically , or racial consciousness . To talking openly about drugs and getting high 😠❗️From wear tight fitting dresses and short mini skirts . To twerk'N in booty shorts , lingerie , and thongs and pasties . From HAPPY , cheerful and positively engaging the crowd . To being vulgar , degrading and disrespectful . When I go back in time and look at this . And then compare it to today ...
