Awe Tina, going to miss you. This performance made me fall for you when it ran on MTV closet classics in the early 80s. The band's on fire and your singing, dancing and swagger set the air on fire. Unforgettable.
The 70's is where the most unique style of music 🎶 🎵 was being made 🎉🎉. It was a great time for being free and doing what you wanted and just enjoyed the fact that the music 🎶 🎵 was everything
I really like that. You got to start down low and work your way to the top. So cool. She always was a talented lady. It really showed her power there. She was a hardworking woman. Rest easy Tina
The song itself is already brill ... the musical male-band re-interpretation behind it (just like that of the originators "The Rolling Stones") is also brill ... and then how the ladies bring their energy-and-goodness-and-beauty to the mix bring tears to both male and female audience members. DEAR IKE AND TINA OF TURNER-NESS ... WE SO WISH YOU HAD ONLY HEALTHILY REMAINED TOGETHER ... AND HEALTHILY WEATHERED AND HEALTHILY RISEN ABOVE CERTAIN MATRIMONIAL STORMS ... EVEN IN THE YEAR 2021 AND FOR CENTURIES BEYOND, YOU BOTH STILL AND WILL ALWAYS (MINUS THE ABUSIVE DRAMA) REMAIN A BEAUTIFUL COUPLE TO SO MANY OF US. LET TRUTH BE TOLD. THANK YOU UNTO DEAR PUBLISHER BEAT CLUB TOO, FOR CATAPULTING HISTORY THROUGH THE FUTURE.
@T Y 🤗 I wondered what they would have been like if Ike hadn't got the drug habit and was a good husband to Tina and they hadn't split up and stayed together and never divorced!💃🏽👠💋🎤🎶🎸😍
@@garyschneider8829 🤗 They did do something together at a club in California in the early 60s, u might be able to Google it up. I don't remember what they sung, but Janis had on a Big White Furry Hat that looked like a lamp shade. Rhonda Gramm, Tina's assistant/road mgr took a picture of them on stage🎤🎶😍
Thank you for posting! not to be greedy but do you have more songs from this show? there used to be “Come Together” from i think this same show, it had been posted for a long time until just recently…. just thought i would ask:)
This was one of the most awesome groups back in the 70's. I saw the Ike & Tina Revue in the early 70's at U.D. Arena in Dayton. I have been to hundreds of concerts over the years and they had 2+ hours of kickass music. This was my favorite concert of all that I have seen.
Me too, dear Tom-of-Vesely. There was just something, very generally, so special that was happening in The 70s that other eras have not been able to replicate or communicate, even though their music technologies have long since advanced. Some things do indeed boil down to zeitgeist and the specific spirit, ethos and feel of a specific time in history. GOD BLESS YOU.
Not really, they were invited in 1966 by the Stones in a London show, looking at Tina she was a classical rythm and blues dancer at this period, I think it's more like they both influenced each other.
I've grown up being lied to by my closed-minded parents about black people and black music. I am currently listening to a lot of Stax records from back in the day and my mind is utterly blown. This music is soo good. Grooves so hard. Regardless of what my parents think, thank god for black people and the music they gave the world. If you are black music savy, please recommend me some music to listen to in the comments here. Thanks, friends.
Facts brotha! There was no rock n roll queen before her. Tina's vocals are second-to-none. She covered most genres of modern music. Rock, funk, pop, soul, jazz, blues, gospel. Highly versatile. Viva Tina!
Nothing wrong with this, but you don't know who Tesla is!. Tina has better passion and dramatic showmanship but has just as good vocals with more overall band talent. And 20 yr newer recording equipment is a night and day difference too!!
Unless you were there you cannot make certain comments me I was with them 24-7 it's only 2 people on this earth that could tell the real truth and I am one of them
Fuc-ing Ike, pushing the tempo in the break, no doubt just to make the girls move faster. Despite that, Tina conquers all. Good on her for finding her way out of life with this guy and showing the world how to live.
Einmalig, großartig, klasse...ein Monument der Rock-Geschichte. Tellerlippe Mick und seine Whiskey-Companeros in allen Ehren, Song geschrieben, performed aber - sie ist eben Tina.

LUV ya Tina Turner God bless you sweetie 💜
Fantastic! Can’t beat the Ikettes too
Las considero las 3 mejores Ikettes , de todos los años. 💥💥💥
Ike loved cocaine, playing guitar, and playing with the Ikettes! 🤣

God, she killed it. The Ikettes, perfect back up singing and dancing. 🔥 🎤🔥🎤🔥🎤

best version
52 years ago ! MV
We love you.
Ike Turner was great at covers and the way he orchestrated the music. This is the only time anybody outdid the Stones on their own song.
Kiss "2000 man"
Mick and his buddies would have deserved a medal to step on stage after Ike and Tina opened for them! The audience was red hot 😅
Nailed it!
And that my darling, is how it should be done.
Alas... only one Tina Turner!!!
I saw I Ike & Tina Turner in concert and they were awesome!
Where was that and when?
RIP Tina Turner only
❤

Females were Smokin Hot in the 70’s Guys 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Tina had beautiful manicured thin hands.
That's the signature of a refined person.
Woman! That's what music sounds like Kanye!
Love this
When The Stones were on tour in '69 ..ike Turner said to Keith Richards " Show me that OPEN G SHIT. Keith showed him.

Ike wrote and sang what many consider to be the first R&R song;1951's Rocket 88,credited to Jackie Brenston.

I prefer her 70s period over the 80s.
@Tom Vesely
I prefer the 60s.
Agreed. I feel bad because I really want to love her music once she got free of Ike but I just can't get into it.

80s time has her best work from her discography her rock albums are amazing from that era the musical output
I like 60s Tina! This is Fire !!
The Greatest Of All Time.
Funny to see how much of his onstage mannerisms Jagger lifted from Tina Turner

@Garry Halliday not it wasn’t.
A young Tina Turner. What a goddess! The energy she brings. It's primal, visceral even.
She was 31 at that time.

Love Tina Turner. Just Amazing!!!!! Love the 70's
Tina Turner the original QUEEN OF ROCK!!!
Facts brotha! There was no rock n roll queen before her. Tina's vocals are second-to-none.
She covered most genres of modern music. Rock, funk, pop, soul, jazz, blues, gospel. Highly versatile. Viva Tina!
You CANNOT beat the 1970's. Love you so much Tina
If were talking about black music, you cant beat the 60's and the 50s either...
GODDESS!!! WE ALREADY MISS YOU. UNBEATABLE, FORCE OF NATURE. SHE FILLED EVERYTHING WITH A WILDLY EXQUISITE SIMPLICITY. ETERNAL
The songs is called Honky Tonk Woman! Especially in Tinas version...
This is my favorite version of this song. It's much better than any other version I've ever heard.

Good God almighty that was awesome!
best era for music. woohooo, love this song
Let's try this again.. Ike turner was brilliant guitarist in the fifties. The rest of his csreer was a pain slide into shlock.

Ike Turner, grande guitarrista e arranjador.
Best legs in rock n roll
Sure!
And what about the Ikettes' legs huh?!
so powerful my gosh
Who fucked up the video?
I just want to watch the backup singers.
She owns this one!!!!
Jagger wrote Brown Sugar about one of the backup singers. Claudia Lennear.
Ike was a brilliant guitarist in The was a long slide into soulless shlock.
Interesting song. I know of a British Group that should perform this song as well.
