K Stewart Right. It’s well documented that aliens are circling the earth ready to attack. You watched a movie and you know all, wowee. Pull your head out Jack. You either cite your documentation or keep your mouth shut. “Cite” means to list your sources. I’ll bet you’ve never spoken to anyone in the band. If you’re so smart then maybe you can tell me why there aren’t a lot of band members jumping on the Bash Ike bus driven by people who watched a movie.
News flash, Everybody has had 'ugly parts' of their lives. Just so you keep that in perspective. Doesn't detract one bit from those with off the chart talent like Ike and Tina had.
Good ole, raw Soul music! I still cant think of anyone else who was so physical on stage and managed to power sing at the same time. Soul sangin' at its best!❤
All those ladies very athletic and fit- back in those days bands with horns were very good- guess that's why I still listen to Tower of Power, EW&Fire, Chicago to name a few
This is what a live performance is! (As opposed to the premixed, pre packaged, auto- tuned, sfx talentless messes we are subjected to now.) Tina wrote the book. Period.
Ike put together a great band! Great performance full of funk, soul and rock. Tina got right down to the nitty gritty. For those wondering this footage is from the TV show "Rollin On The River" on February 10, 1972.
I almost thought the dancer with the lighter colored hair was her. She definitely showed up to show out, what a phenomenal performer she was too. Her entire production from the band, the background performers, the hair and the outfits were phenomenal ❤🔥❤🔥
I love this performance, I think this was the beginning of the " Look " her iconic wigs and stage clothes etc. But I'm lovin' Her look and sound here ❤️💯🙂
March 8, 2024 I didn’t even expect it but I got up and somehow I start dancing this music that I created as they’re both have passed. They left us here with a gift. This is natural organic music and it makes you want to get up and dance that’s it simple It’s a blessing and it was a gift that they gave to us. Nothing more nothing less. We love you Tina we love you Ike thank you for everything you too created. It was meaningful It was lasting music with longevity. It was created, and never could be reduplicated.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I am the age of 37 years old going on 38 on 13 March and I can jam to it as if it came out yesterday I love real music

For all the negative comments about Ike, most of the positive comments about this Revue are due to Ike's genius. He might not have been a likeable guy, but he was a tough, successful guy in a tough business and he created a killer show and a great image and career for Anna Mae (Tina).
You can be a genius and a horrible human being. It's funny that women never get this type of graciousness. Like if Tina was secretly beating the children. Would you talk about how she was such a dynamic performer inspite of it?
@@brittanymiitchell8491 that’s because beating women has been universally justified with random excuses. From genius to drunk to just because. They just love to glorify men. Unfortunately, it’s the women who do glorify evil men more.
With 125+ albums to their credit you'll never hear Ike and Tina's entire catalog. Amazing, they ushered in the R&R era along with Lil Richard, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, the dancers, singers, musicians all top notch. killer performance.
And I thought the Beatles wrote the original She Came In Through the Bathroom Window. Both versions are incredible, but this one blew me away. Loved every bit of this.
What's up with the microphones? Tina has some issues with it at the beginning of Get Back (which she takes in stride) and then they pan over to the Ikettes and they're having trouble too lol! Great performance though I love the dance they do during the first number, Tina and the Ikettes were something else man....the 60's and 70's were the best!
You can thank little Esther Jones (backing away from Tina at the end of "Get Back") for most of the choreography from 1970-1976. She also trained most of the Ikettes during her time with the review.
Nope, Jean Brown (Burks) was definitely not in this one although you'll often see her when you see Esther.. I'm not sure who's on the right, but it's not Jean.
You know you are a MASTER at giving the audience a great when trying to fix microphone issue looks well planned and apart of the routine. I had to rewatch this after I seen a comment saying she was having microphone issues. Tina did the damn thing at this show!
Godawful mix reminiscent of SNL's inability of the last few years to translate the stage sound to your screen. But, oh, the performance! God bless you for sharing thus w us.
TINA TURNER THE QUEEN OF ROCK N ROLL 🏆
I don't care how many try to mimic her, THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ❤ *TINA TURNER*
In spite of the ugly parts of their personal life, their music was pure and magical.
Unless you were there, you don't know anything about their personal lives.
@@kenton6098 Try pulling your head out. It is well documented how Ike abused Tina and that is coming from others, besides Tina, who confirmed it.

more like Ike. Tina never would've reached her status without him
Ike and Tina let's say. He had the vision from start... and she had all the package...
this was one tight band. 14 people on stage doing their thing and bringing it together as one. rock n roll.
I wish the audio would have been better.
The audience is just so dead. Not jamming or nothing.
RIP Tina - you were wonderful
I lost 5 lbs watching this!!!

Tina certainly raises the temperature in any room where she'd performed. Vim, vim, vim!

Live band, live singing, high energy dancing, sexy ladies...The Ike and Tina Turner Revue always put on a great show!
The show was called "Rolling with Kenny Rodgers "
Tina & those Ikettes were always kicking it!! Love them & their energy!!

SADLY, WHAT WAS HAPPENING BEHIND THE SCENES TINA NEVER DESERVED! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This lot consistently performed at a level way above any other comparable outfit.
Change in time signature after the intro to "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window" is killer!
that is a GREAT version of "she came in...". funky, bluesy, rocky, ...
Luv that intro. You don't even see Tina sneaking up on that Beatle's cover!

The legendary Queen Tina Turner!
I don’t care what anyone says about Ike he was her beginning and she benefited greatly from him.
Oh yeah! And she paid for those benefits too!👊🏾
That was a time when people could really dance, I miss those times from long ago.
They were incredible live. Great Live Band .
Too bad the audience didn't appreciate it then they look lifeless 😢- bands were very good in those days
@Paint Lady I agree, but that's the way things were in the 60s. I watched another video, different band, same type of audience. 😊😅
