@@PartsDr The repair went flawlessly. After months of poor cleaning, low heat, and draining issues, it was amazing to open the dishwasher door and once again experience that long-forgotten billow of steam and the sight of spotless dishes. Thanks again!
@@PartsDr I don't know which was the chicken and which was the egg, but both the control board and the wiring harness failed. The control board had a failed capacitor and burning and soot at the two left terminals and inside and several of the wires and connectors showed signs of heat damage with some of the insulation burned away.
Whirlpool dishwasher model #WDT730HAMZ. There’s a small wire clip/connectors with 2 yellow wires under the dishwasher that isn’t clipped to anything and I can’t see where it goes. Maybe nothing and maybe it’s for a higher level dishwasher or diagnostics.
Perfect timing! This video dropped yesterday and today I am tackling this exact job! Very clear, thorough guide to the repair. Thanks.
Great timing! Let us know how the repair goes for you!

@@brianirwin6291 That's great! What failed on the original wiring harness?

@@brianirwin6291 thank you for sharing! That is helpful information.
The absolute best "how to" video I have ever watched....
Thanks! We are glad that you found it helpful!
2:37 i have a different latch on the left that i cannot open the harness. Any ideas? I have pics. Can i send them to you to see?
Thank you so much for the video!
You're welcome! What kind of problem are you having with your wiring harness?
@@PartsDr I had a similar problem. Mine was caused by rodents. A cat has cured that problem and I found where they were accessing the building.
@@billknight964 Nice! Cats are a perfect solution for that!

What plug does the owi sensor use? Mine is corroded, and i need to clean it before i replace the sensor.
It looks like on our dishwasher the OWI sensor used the yellow wires ruclips.net/video/Rzy1DomCHuU/видео.html
