- Taking a card from NguyenKvvn's awesome Heritage Rough Rider body kit, I've remixed a more streamlined, less bulky version that doesn't add a ton of functionality but gives you a very unique look. I've also designed a version for the Ruger Wrangler, a fantastic .22LR revolver.

I've actually done some Hollywood movie prop design and fabrication with a soft cyberpunk aesthetic. One day I'll get hired as an armorer too.

These remind me of hand cannons from Destiny, revolvers with blocky barrel shrouds. Absolutely beautiful

Look up police practical combat (ppc) revolvers. Have the same blocky barrel
I'm not a laser fan, but I feel the aesthetic deserves lasers...
Fun fact, according to the user manual for the Ruger wrangler you can dry fire it as much as you would like without damage occurring to the pistol.

I challenge you to try this with a .357 magnum, as it is a higher power cartrige i think it would be an interesting design challenge to adapt it to a stronger cartrige, like in a ruger blackhawk

I'd love to see a blade runner kit either for these or a chiappa rhino, especially with a transparent orange grip.

I've been planning on getting one of these rough riders. Would you ever make one for the 16" barrel version? Would make a awesome revolver rifle. They make stocks for them. Pretty sweet. Let Me know I'd totally buy one

I searched for columbine documentary and suddenly all these shool preparations channels like yours are on my feed.
You do some awesome work. This one reminds me of a custom Rough Rider I built - Rick Deckard's blaster from Blade Runner. It's also a 3D printed shroud the Rough Rider just slides into. ...plus the new grip and trigger guard. It really looks the part aside from the opaque grips. I really need to make a mold to cast some proper transparent amber grips, although I do also have a resin printer.

@@booliganshootingsports I'm not really sure how to get them to you. I've designed it in Fusion 360, and I can output ASCII or Binary STL formats, but I don't know where to send them. I just opened F360 to modify the grips and make the base of the grip a separate piece. Do you want the files the way they are, or should I redo the grip first?

The shroud on the revolvers make them able to be tucked inside your pants like carrying a 1911.

Could you make something for the Rough Rider to make it look like a Korth revolver? It has the picatinny railed front.
would be fun to do a integrated optic hood, using a cheapo amazon red dot in it, also a holster system would be cool for like a drop leg safariland
It's something I'm thinking about for a later version. A low mounted RMR/Doctor style sight built into it could look sweet.
@@booliganshootingsports A .22LR single-action revolver with a shrouded cylinder gap, optics and rail capability, and an integrated or detachable suppressor would be a genuine technical step forward, adding functionality beyond the purely aesthetic (and aesthetics are cool too, don't get me wrong). Big problem with anything in the "hush puppy" genre of special purpose firearms is brass retention. Revolvers solve that, but don't suppress well due to cylinder gap. Expansions on this concept could do both. That said, the aesthetic work you've done here is quite good. Kudos!
@@andrewpatti3728 A clamshell design like the Peters PSDR would be pretty sweet, that's for sure.
Why not neodymium inserts to make it stick into a minimalist holster that just covers the trigger guard?
@@GunFunZS Maybe something that would mate to a QLS fork, cover the trigger, and magnetically mate to a magnet embedded in the chassis at the 6 o'clock position under the barrel? Less a holster, more a 'gun hanger', fastest possible draw for fighting replicants and can mount a suppressor.
Now that you have designed those you need to design a holster for them to fit in, you could continue with the space age look on the holster

Free product idea ; somebody should design a plug for the rough rider where if you take off the safety you can hide that empty space. There's a lot of the pistols out there and a lot of people don't like the safety but don't want their gun to look broken either.
Id really like to see one of you 3d printer wizards come up with something that looks like a Swedish k.

Hey man, you think one might fit on a Tanfoglio Gardone TA-22? It's a single action revolver, very similar to these. Of the two, it most closely resembles the Ruger. I'm sure you've heard of the brand, but it's a bit uncommon so my odds are slim.

Anyone have a problem with the front site blade being too tall? I know my rough rider is older but I am not sure when they changed the site height.
My wrangler transfer bar doesn't rattle I did notice it has a spring,not sure why some do others don't

My thinking was it's thicker barrel with weight helps with shooting and striking onto close opponent.

An assembly tutorial would be dope bro!
It’s pretty simple. Unscrew the screw holding on the ejection housing. Remove the housing and take the spring and ejector out and place it inside the printed kit. Slide kit over the revolver until hole aligns with the screw hole from the ejection housing. Reinstall screw and you’re done!
how about incorporating a spare ammo storage compartment...say additional 6 rounds?

i have a heritage rough rider you should make them for hatfield 20 gange that would be cool cause you made cool look and i like your weapons in the back ground
I have kits for Hatfield shotguns.
There are 2 ways to suppress a revolver. Hes close to finding the other way that nagant didn't use.
So I found a file with this design, I printed and it came out great. Problem is that it didnt fit my RR. The ejection system is on the right of the print, while located on the left of the firearm. Even when you show the model, your RR has the ejection system on the right 🤯🤯
I have never in my life seen a left eject rough rider lol. Ever.

Okay that's it dude. I want one. I was already looking online to see how much the heritage roughriders cost. Chiapa makes one that's 10 rounds if the specs and the dimensions are still the same I want one. I just need to know details about how to get the firearm to you. I just want one straight up I'm not even joking. I want one. I think you're on to something.

How did you get the rough rider to have the ejector tab protruding out from the barrel instead of under the barrel is it an different model or something
The ejector is in the same spot as usual. The channel for it is part of the printed “body kit”.
How long you think before heritage copies this too?

Can you make an assembly instruction video? And also what are some good holsters for the gun after the mount?
Assembly is a breeze. Unscrew and remove the tube for the ejector. Put the ejector in the kit, slide on the barrel, reattach the screw. Easy peasy!
@@booliganshootingsports I managed to get it on and did exactly what you said with putting the ejector on the kit, the barrel and the screw but man, that thing was a pain to get on! I had to use a wood block and hammer to get it on because it was really stuck on there tight! I lined it all up too. I may have to do the same to get it off again, as I have tried to get it off once but it's not easy.
@@thatoneintrovert9618 if it was that tight to get on, your print may have been slightly out of spec. It should be snug but not overly tight.
@@booliganshootingsports I got it printed by a different company, as I don't currently have a printer myself. So that may explain it. Either way I managed to get it on. Thanks for making this.

The tricky part is that there’s no threaded ejection tube mounting hole to secure the kit to.

Do you need to take off the front sight to put on the rough rider version
It’s designed around the fixed sight model, so the sight can stay on. In the adjustable sight model, you may need it take them off, but I haven’t tried.
Could something like this be made for the heritage barkeep? it is much shorter and has no ejector, would definitely be cool

Nice work but, I bought my rough riders and others to because they looked like an old time gun, if I wanted them to look like a modern gun I already have a ton of polymer semi-autos that look like that.
Then clearly these designs aren’t for you.
