I do think people are exaggerating the problems for this game. It’s a free game that hasn’t even been out 2-3 months yet. People need to wait like 6months to a year to truly judge the game.
Agreed. I understand why people are upset because it’s been in development for such a long time but they’ve been super transparent about every issue so that’s a plus. Ranked is definitely understandable because if everyone is spamming 1 faction that can’t be fun to play right now.

Xdefiants hit detection is broken...
Could not agree more that’s something I’m hoping gets fixed and I’d have to say is the main priority with the game. Dying around walls gets very annoying over a couple of hours of playing

I’ve been running a similar setup. I recommend swapping out rapid fire for the heavy barrel. Heavy barrel makes the gun a consistent .35 ttk to the body or a one body two head burst. Rapid fire makes the ttk drop from a .41 ttk to a .40 ttk. You’d need a perfect one burst to the head with rapid fire for a kill. I run super light over angled. I tried leather grip but the strafe speed was too much for my taste. Super light makes the gun snappy and the +2.5% movement speed buff is nice. M16 doesn’t have recoil which is a huge plus for using certain attachments.
Someone else also recommended the heavy barrel and it is amazing in the M16 could not agree more! I was shocked at how much a difference it made especially with longer range fights. I might swap to the super light as well and give that a try with the heavy! I really like the strafe speed being pretty fast. A different way to take fights strafing left/right instead of spamming jump or what I’ve seen recently spam crouching as well.
this game has my fav 2 burst fire weapons. this the m16a4 and the 93r, they are my go to when I just wanna pop off a high kill game

I have discovered heavy barrel is freaking amazing for the M16 holy crap it’s a extremely consistent 2 burst even to phantom players the accuracy is so much better as well for long range fights. Thank you so much for recommending me to use it it is INSANE! First game using it I went 52-18

It was apart of the founders bundle it was the most expensive one they had🫠💀 I didn’t know how I had it for the first week I bought it because in game it didn’t show the preview of that phantoms skin for some reason

@Hxrley_Quinn they might bring it back in a season or 2 but that’s a low chance sadly. They didn’t really show it off in game until it was too late for players to buy it. On the XDefiant twitter account they showed it off a little

it's new, of course it has issues.
My only complaint about the game is the aim assist. Its needs to be worked on because when i play it feels non existent and feels like im playing R6S, but with better movement.
I feel like I don’t have it at super long range but every other time I feel it. It’s definitely not as strong as cod that is an INSANE amount of aim assist in my opinion. I’ve never played R6 so I can’t compare those.
Aim assist is perfect in this game. I run it at -4 -4 which just feels buttery smooth. The base aim assist in this game is .2. For reference, apex legends aim assist value starts at .4 on pc. Cods aim assist value starts at .6.

@@pubplays368 I can put mine on -2, -4, -6, even -10. It still feels the exact same which is none to me. Even older CODS that don't insane aim assist like newer ones feel better than Xdefiant.
What aim response are you using by chance? I’m using reverse s curve and I’ve seen cod pros using it as well they say it makes the aa stick a lot more.

Or they enjoy XDefiant more🤷♂️ cod used to be a lot of fun. I still enjoy the older cods on my free time but the new day cod isn’t what it used to be. People are allowed to enjoy either Cod or XDefiant or both:)
