Agreed. Imo this might be my biggest problem with the gameplay loop that makes playing libertad a must to survive anything long term. Increasing it and making the burn penalty somewhere in between the normal Regen and the absurd fire Regen would help. I'm assuming the reason the other characters don't have faster Regen is Libertad can effectively boost your team, so there choice to make it more team oriented or line wolf oriented.

this game just like call of duty games have ghost rounds, if your being shot and you go behind cover people can still hit you for a period of time if they keep shooting.
I been using the SVD the past few days on the Cleaner and I gotta say, I STRONGLY recommend more people try it. Probably the most fun setup I used so far. Could also one tap headshot with heavy barrel if you dont want to use the cleaner but still want to one tap with it.

I like using the SVD the most when combined with the cleaners faction. The added 2 shot kill consistency is nice, but I freaking love that it turns the headshots into 1 shot kills (except phantom players) with the base 98 damage and one tick of burn damage. FYI with the M44 if you use the heavy barrel it will kill them in 1 shot instantly you don't need anything other than the first dmg tic and that happens instantly
Something to note is while libertad counters this in a sense, I think it also counters libertad healing too. Because there are guns that do exactly 100 damage but libertad will heal as you are shooting them making it take an extra shot to kill. The number of times I’ve left a libertad user with 1hp with a gun that would’ve killed a normal 100 hp player is too many to count. But burn damage could put you over the top to get that kill
The m4a1 is another that sees some nice benefit with Cleaners. In fact, I consider M4 to be right up there with AK if you are using Cleaners. Makes a huge difference against phantoms as well.
Not mentioned in the video, but the SVD does 98 damage to the head in it's first damage range, so a headshot against anything but Phantoms will be a one shot kill while playing as the Cleaners

The m1911 pistol NEEDS a buff. Having 7 bullets to work with until lvl 15 with xD's ttk is just not viable. Especially since i still have to pump 20 bullets into enemies that kill me instantly in half my lobbies. 10 hitmarkers = 13dmg done apparently
You sure? The 1911 feels decent but the Base beretta you get feels like ASS in comparison, even if you hit your shots you die anyways, it’s bad as a reliable secondary on a low or full hp enemy. The 1911 is way better in damage anyways
The 1911's 7 rounds is a joke when it takes minimum 5 shots to kill one target from full hp lmao. The 1911 along with the pump shotty and the AA12 are in desperate need of buffs.

I'm an echelon main but the cleaners are my go too anytime I use the m44. Another thing I've noticed that i think is great is (And it might be my imagination or placebo) how the fire will delay regen and deter people from staying put too long or playing too aggressive. Like if three people are escorting, I've found applying a quick burn effect to all three then ducking behind cover and waiting for my team will often push them off the payload if only for a moment to regen, but sometimes a moment is all i need for my team to catch up

I get that the amount of work to go through all ranges and headshot combinations wouldn’t be feasible but as far as I can tell there is only one attachment that is relevant so it might be worth a mention. The last challenges I'm missing in the game are the ones to unlock the Cleaners faction characters because I was waiting for you to make a video of how the burn damage works. So I can say that the wait was worth it.
One note that I want to make is that the M44 with the heavy barrel can bring the damage up to 118 with an upper torso shot, with the first tick of 2 burn damage finishing the job (with a total of 120). This obviously has a pretty big drawback with slower fire rate, but I find it is worth it, especially when the enemy team has a few Phantoms.
I thought I wouldn't like this faction but they're so much fun, the tick damage is a bit gimmicky but the abilities are super nice and if you're smart with their ultimate you can "clean" up a whole team.
I literally made a laodout called dragons breath to use specifically with the cleaners, then realized how much less damage you do within the already limited range of the shotguns. Playing hardcore shooters like Insurgency and Hell Let Loose makes you forget how abysmal shotguns are in arcade type fps games
Not a shotgun player, but playing the game, there are actually a lot of times I can specifically recall where I survived a shotgun shot, only to die to the last tick of burn damage. With the base shotgun atleast. Also, it does have a sort of secondary benefit, which is the fact that it delays healing for an additional second and a half. Which may not seem like much, but in higher level play, where you're going for trades a lot more and calling out enemies, it's a very good bonus. I'm torn because at one point I feel it could use some sort of buff considering it's countered by the 2 most popular factions, but at the same time, the benefits it gives are very strong. I cannot emphasize how important that extra second and a half are in terms of trades. Especially with the fast movement in the game. Often times you'll have to chase around a corner, or push a heady and if that player is half HP with extra downtime on healing they are 100% losing that gunfight. And both abilities are pretty strong as well. I think that if they buff the faction at all, they should simply give it immunity to opposing same-faction passive fire damage. Also, one thing I would like you to test when you get the time, does it make shooting enemy barriers any more effective. Idk why but it feels like it takes a billion bullets on any other class but I feel as though I destroy barriers a little more quickly on Cleaner. Hard to test but I think it would be interesting.
also, with the SVD marksman rifle, your headshot multiplier is 2x meaning you do 98 damage with a headshot. adding the 2 cleaner damage it effectively has 1shot headshot potential on 100hp opponents
I noticed that M44 sniper with the heavy barrel that increases the damage, taking it from 112 to upper chest up to 118 damage, the extra 2 damage will kill phantom with that first tick at 150ms.
I think the main point with incendiary rounds is to dealy healing for a second and a half eaven on the libertad factions by 1.5 actualy 1.65 and it also helps with dmg on some guns almost instantly and on others in random situations. I think that passive ability is pretty good in my opinion.
7:01 I think it might be worth noting that if you use the barrel that increases damage on the tac 50, then the burn damage can help you one-shot non-phantoms in other areas like the arms. The ads barrels are much better overall so it's kinda meme, but still it may be more useful for hardscopers in some situations
Ace, any chance of measuring the range, damage, and times of faction abilities? Like Echelon intel suit UAV ping, Libertads passive healing? Cleaners firebomb and incineration drone? Etc…
Some people are already complaining about Intel suit for Echelon, but I don't feel it's that bad, maybe small nerf to cool down or duration is in other since you can stack factions, but once more factions are added this will calm down I feel.
I'm definitely curious to see the playerbase and how well the game does in 6 months to a years when the honey moon phase is over and if cheaters and Ubisoft will ruin it
Yeah, I'm really enjoying the game but I've already encountered a couple of cheaters and that gets me worried. Not nearly as much as COD but let's see how it goes.
I'm not very good at XD yet, but 100% more fun. I just hope they get coding ironed out, and idk if its just me, but it takes a hot minute to connect to a match. The DMR is my go to weapon. So cleaner might be a good pick for it but because its an teamplay kinda game i prefer to choose the AoE Heals over consistent 2shot kills because with it not only i can heal myself and survive 3-4 vs me situations AND I can give that power to my mates and that even after i died.
some other things with cleaners that people arent thinking of: if youre in a gunfight vs libertad that burn damage may not matter you may be outside of the max damage range and if you used anyone else, it would have costed one less bullet to win that fight anyway they may have a healer NEARBY them and help them to heal up that burn dmg applied so your additional damage doesnt matter Cleaners are easily the worst faction because their ULTRA ability is pretty good, but its not better than echelons but their passive and active abilitys are really bad. its cool to use a molotov, but the startup time is really bad and you use it in a close range situation where any skilled smg or shotgun player will kill you faster than you can activate it the molotov drone is really bad because its hard to use up close too and if its used far away MOST TIMES you can just dodge it.
You are actually wrong about the cleaners. They do 2 extra damage on all guns and sacrifice some range for the trade-off, then get a burn effect on top of it of 6 damage over 1.5 seconds. Plus, the Tac 50 is the best weapon for the cleaners to use because it does 90 at base plus 2 plus 6 gives you almost a one-shot kill if you get a hit marker right. But if you put the damage barrel on it, that gives you 5%weapon damage that turns the tac 50 into a 94 damage per shot plus 2 plus 6, meaning you one shot every one that's not a phantom by just getting a hit marker
While marksman rifles are good for the passive, I don’t find that they pair well with the cleaners’ abilities. Firebomb and fire drone are both fairly close range abilities. The drone may actually work pretty well, but fire bomb is only really viable running a sub imo.
I thinka the passive is balanced nicely, its their ultra that is kinda underpowered, besides I had a feeling the M16 would improve using the cleaners and this confirmed it
One thing to talk about with the MM rifles is that the SVD has a higher HS multiplier and will one tap phantoms with the burn. MK20 will not be able to one tap phantoms ever
I’ve been hitting players 4-5 shots with marksman rifle with cleaners faction and they don’t die… but I do from 2 bullets lol. Hope they fix that hit reg soon.
I may be wrong on this but i do believe you do more damage to enemy equipment, or at least it feels like im able to take down phantom barriers pretty fast
I think the Cleaners need more love in general, but the incendiary rounds are nicely balanced. I am not sure if there is really a way to buff the cleaners in any kind of way that doesn't push them over the edge. Maybe they're just a bottom pick but still balanced overall.
Went over to cod played 3 games .. and I was reminded quickly why I left cod .. having aim nerfed.. then went on a small kill streak 16 kills then died and the next 4 spawns where with my back to the other team to insta die 4 times in a row .. but I know my aim skill and for my aim to magically go right and start missing shots .. back to a good game . And yes I know my aim and use the same gun so for my aim to just go right while holding left is them nerfing my aim cause it dosnt happen on xdefient or cod until I go on a kill streak
Yep it's very obvious to me as well when the "Engagement optimized matchmaking" kicks in. The algorithm just chooses forces you to lose. Awful gaming experience. At least in Xdefiant I lose because of my skill, not because an algorithm decided my fate lol

If you go to the practice zone, the advanced stats take the cleaners range reduction into account in the advanced stats page
You forgot about damage increasing barrels. For example the RPK with the damage barrel will deal 96 damage in 4 shots.
Didn’t forget. That falls under the section where I mentioned I couldn’t viably cover every combination of multipliers, ranges, and attachments

I run Cleaners with the Double Barrel and the Deagle for close quarters maps like Arena and if you can manage the reload, you can have a lot of fun

Yeah, I'm really enjoying the game but I've already encountered a couple of cheaters and that gets me worried. Not nearly as much as COD but let's see how it goes.
I found that if you use the damage barrel on the m249 lmg with the cleaner incendiary, it’s a consistent 4 shot kill
The svd also deal 98 to the head making it act like a osk against non pantoms
For the tac50, if you have the heavy barrel and cleaners it is will one shot legs and arms of 100hp enemies.
Svd with the heavy barrel too might be the most op shit I’ve seen
I started using marksmen rifles as a cleaner… it’s absolutely NASTY. I love this lol. I hope they don’t nerf it 😅
I think the Ak-47 is worth mentioning also, being able to 3 tap to the head is a big ttk decrease.

I'm not very good at XD yet, but 100% more fun. I just hope they get coding ironed out, and idk if its just me, but it takes a hot minute to connect to a match. They already got me, but they fix those things, and they'll get my bro, too. To make this comment relevant to video, i find libertad is just too useful way more consistantly

The SVD Marksman Rifle is a 1 shot kill with a headshot, while playing as Cleaners.
The DMR is my go to weapon. So cleaner might be a good pick for it but because its an teamplay kinda game i prefer to choose the AoE Heals over consistent 2shot kills because with it not only i can heal myself and survive 3-4 vs me situations AND I can give that power to my mates and that even after i died.
yo ace you forgot the most important thing. The SVD can Oneshot headshot with the cleaner =D
some other things with cleaners that people arent thinking of:
if youre in a gunfight vs libertad that burn damage may not matter
you may be outside of the max damage range and if you used anyone else, it would have costed one less bullet to win that fight anyway
they may have a healer NEARBY them and help them to heal up that burn dmg applied so your additional damage doesnt matter
Cleaners are easily the worst faction because their ULTRA ability is pretty good, but its not better than echelons but their passive and active abilitys are really bad.
its cool to use a molotov, but the startup time is really bad and you use it in a close range situation where any skilled smg or shotgun player will kill you faster than you can activate it
the molotov drone is really bad because its hard to use up close too and if its used far away MOST TIMES you can just dodge it.
Y can't we just enjoy both games and hope xdefiant inspires cod to bring the old style back
For the TAC-50, if you use the Heavy Barrel for the 5% dmg boost while running Cleaners it's a one shot kill anywhere on everyone but Phantoms.
You are actually wrong about the cleaners. They do 2 extra damage on all guns and sacrifice some range for the trade-off, then get a burn effect on top of it of 6 damage over 1.5 seconds.
Plus, the Tac 50 is the best weapon for the cleaners to use because it does 90 at base plus 2 plus 6 gives you almost a one-shot kill if you get a hit marker right. But if you put the damage barrel on it, that gives you 5%weapon damage that turns the tac 50 into a 94 damage per shot plus 2 plus 6, meaning you one shot every one that's not a phantom by just getting a hit marker
Over powered
While marksman rifles are good for the passive, I don’t find that they pair well with the cleaners’ abilities. Firebomb and fire drone are both fairly close range abilities. The drone may actually work pretty well, but fire bomb is only really viable running a sub imo.
tac50 can one shot in the arm with heavy barrel and cleaner on most characters. It kinda helps with people doing jump strafes

I thinka the passive is balanced nicely, its their ultra that is kinda underpowered, besides I had a feeling the M16 would improve using the cleaners and this confirmed it
One thing to talk about with the MM rifles is that the SVD has a higher HS multiplier and will one tap phantoms with the burn. MK20 will not be able to one tap phantoms ever

I’ve been hitting players 4-5 shots with marksman rifle with cleaners faction and they don’t die… but I do from 2 bullets lol. Hope they fix that hit reg soon.

I may be wrong on this but i do believe you do more damage to enemy equipment, or at least it feels like im able to take down phantom barriers pretty fast
I personally think 20 extra health with phantoms is better than 10 extra damage with cleaners atm when im deciding which faction to choose
MGB is still in mw3 when you use scorestreaks so im guessing killstreaks is with the DNA bomb only
I think the passive is alright but the molotov ability is way too overpowered. Especially for the two capture mods
The burn damage is GREAT when an enemy JUST makes cover before you can finish them
TL:DR, high damage weapons seemingly benefit more. Not sure what your testing showed but the AK feels very powerful as cleaners
i can't stop using the AA-12 and fire bomb cleaner but it feels like im sandbagging myself
M44 + Heavy Barrel + Cleaners = split second kill vs. phantoms.
118 dmg + 150ms for burning the last 2 hp
I thought it was annoying when I first started playing the game. But I don't really have a problem with it anymore.
I think the Cleaners need more love in general, but the incendiary rounds are nicely balanced.
I am not sure if there is really a way to buff the cleaners in any kind of way that doesn't push them over the edge. Maybe they're just a bottom pick but still balanced overall.

Went over to cod played 3 games .. and I was reminded quickly why I left cod .. having aim nerfed.. then went on a small kill streak 16 kills then died and the next 4 spawns where with my back to the other team to insta die 4 times in a row .. but I know my aim skill and for my aim to magically go right and start missing shots .. back to a good game . And yes I know my aim and use the same gun so for my aim to just go right while holding left is them nerfing my aim cause it dosnt happen on xdefient or cod until I go on a kill streak
Yep it's very obvious to me as well when the "Engagement optimized matchmaking" kicks in. The algorithm just chooses forces you to lose. Awful gaming experience.
At least in Xdefiant I lose because of my skill, not because an algorithm decided my fate lol
@folx2733 That's exactly how I feel as well .. when I miss shots, I know it's my fault .. and my aim doesn't just suddenly jump to where I am not aiming.. and u love if your good with your aim and focus headshots it's worth it
