    Teeter dance isn’t the best thing out there but I find your justification for it silly. No one would use it in a double battle unless the other one on your team was immune/had protection to being confused. It’s like saying Earthquake is a bad move because it can hit your second Pokémon

    • @PinkPikaBean
      @PinkPikaBean 2 года назад +42

      Yes I second this! A couple of seasons ago I ran a Tsereena and Celesteela in ranked doubles with a wide guard + teeter dance combo as the wide guard protects steela from confusion. While I had fun running this set, I feel like it's more of a gimmick tbh

    Extreme Speed isn't just faster. It also has double the attack power of all the other priority attacks (aside from Sucker Punch, which has a significant weakness in exchange)! One of my least favorite former signature moves is muddy water. It's not a weak move by any regards, but it's really annoying to me since it's just surf but with lower accuracy and it lowers your opponent's accuracy. Outside of double battles specifically surf is just better except whenever you opponent uses it and they just drop your accuracy every time and make everything they have annoying to play against. Even in double battles where it has the non-rng upside of not hitting your teammate, its really more of a necessary evil than solid option especially since surf can open up fun combos and ways to play around the downside(water absorb, or using pokemon who resist surf as partners so they can eat it up while you drown everything else without having to worry about rng).
    Funnily enough leaf blade, another former signature move from a hoenn starter, is one of my favorite former signatures since it's a really strong physical grass move that provides excellent stab power and coverage
