    Quaxly is probably from a brazillian region, since quaquaval is the single most brazillian pokémon ever created. Brazil is a whole ocean away from the Iberic Peninsula (which Paldea is inspired by, it isn't just Spain, but Spain AND Portugal), so the "from distant lands" quote fits, and since Brazil was colonized by Portugal, it would tie nicely as to why Quaxly is present in the Paldea region.

    • @nickdentoom1173
      @nickdentoom1173 Год назад +2

      But here is the thing though.
      Quaxly is based on the Crested Duck: The Crested is a breed of domestic duck. It was probably brought to Europe from the East Indies by Dutch ships.[3]: 413  It has its appearance because it is heterozygous for a genetic mutation causing a deformity of the skull.
      The Indies refers to various lands in the East or the Eastern hemisphere, particularly the islands and mainlands found in and around the Indian Ocean by Portuguese explorers.
      So Quaxly is most likely from the East Indies.

    • @matheuscastro990
      @matheuscastro990 Год назад +1

      @@nickdentoom1173 That is indeed the animal it is inspired by. But the brazilian carnival references in quaquaval are undenyable, with even it's name being a mixture of "qua qua" (the brazilian onomatopoeia for the sound that ducks make) and "carnaval" (the portuguese word for carnival). With the portuguese being the ones that brought the crested duck do Brazil, quaxly can still be a crested duck while being from a region inspired by Brazil (one thing does not exclude the other). Now, because the crested duck is not native to Brazil, a regional "original" form of quaxly, quaxwell and/or quaquaval could still exist in a region inspired by the east indies (much like galarian zigzagoon being the original zigzagoon). But as far as the current quaquaval, it makes a lot more sense for it to be brazilian, especially since the connections it has to the brazilian carnival are stronger (at least with quaquaval) than the ones with the crested duck.

The Paradox Pokémon and Occulture are based on cryptids and the exaggerated and unbelievable stories published by paranormal magazines. Even the names of Paradox Pokémon are similar to cryptids, being descriptors of their appearance with names like Great Tusk and Roaring Moon while we have cryptids in real life named things like Bigfoot and Mothman.

    BIG disagree with Murkrow. And this also includes Misdreavus. My theory is that they both migrated to kanto/johto later on. Which is why you can’t find Mukrow in red and blue. And I believe they migrated from Sinnoh where these pokemon are plentyful and it’s easier to find their evolution stones.
    Houndour as well, I am certain is from either Kalos or Paldea
    And Slugma is most likely from Hoenn.

    • @nickdentoom1173
      @nickdentoom1173 Год назад +1

      Yeah... its hard to actually pinpoint an actual native region for Water and Flying types and Pokemon that can float, considering they aren't landlocked compared to other Pokemon.
      Like, you can make that same case for Pokemon that can turn into Water types (For example Eevee can be native to Galar or Paldea, considering those are the only regions where they can be found, but if we look at locations, Eevee appears at more locations in Paldea than in Galar, especially with the Eeveelutions as well, which you can only catch in one location in the base game, so Eevee is probbaly native to Paldea, but Vaporeon swam to Galar and that is why the line also exists there).
      Murkrow are actually more plentiful in Paldea than in Sinnoh though. In Sinnoh, Murkrow only appears in the Lost Tower and Eterna Forest, while in Paldea, Murkrow appears in three of the four provinces in multiple area''s. Another point to add is that Murkrow is based on the Carrion Crow, which can be found in Iberia. Not to speak about Paldea actually being the only region you can find Honckrow in multiple provinces and area's and Honckrow also has the Europe inspiration, being based on the hooded crow.
      Misdreavus is most likely native to Paldea as well, since Paldea yet again being the region where its the most abundant in locations, as well as its connection to Flutter Mane.

    Okay, hear me out: all four of Raikou, Entei, Suicune, *and* Ho-Oh aren’t native to Johto. Yes, even with the whole Burned Tower incident. The real-world inspiration for all four Legendary Pokémon comes from Chinese origin, and it’s possible that the Pokémon that died in the Burned Tower were from an undiscovered China-themed region before being reincarnated by Ho-Oh, who itself can make a case for only roosting in Johto and not actually being from there.
    As for why all of the Johto Legendaries (except Lugia; remember, it was designed specifically for the movie originally) are from a different place and why Gen 2 isn’t Chinese themed: that’s probably just a represent consequence of video game history in the country.

I don't think any of them were mentioned, so i'm assuming they're from the revealed generations nation? But then the future versions become technical questions. Are they from the original region that their forms are based on? Or Are they from the region they were made in?
