Limber on stunfisk is not useless. Just niche. With the many moves that can change Pokemon types, Limber on Stunfisk makes it immune to para even after being hit by moves such as "Soak", "Forest's Curse", or even it's Egg Move "Reflect Type". Even back in gens 5, 6, and 7, it could learn "Camouflage". In other words, the point of this ability was to tie in with "Camouflage" and other type changing abilities. Now, that is mostly useless in PvP level play for the most part, but, not useless altogether as you are making it sound like. It's a niche ability for Stunfisk though. One that I've actually used before in playthroughs, because stunfisk is not as bad as people tend to think it is.
Two of Flint's team members may not be fire type but they do have a connection to hotness Drifblim because hot air balloons use heat to work Lopunny because it's based on a playboy bunny I think there was a reason Steelix was involved but I forgot :P

Rock/Grass in general is surprisingly great. The two share ten weaknesses, however no less than SIX are neutralized: Fire, Flying, Grass, Ground, Poison and Water. Add to that the STAB super effective damage you can deal to Bug and Ice (which are still weaknesses) and you only have to worry about Fighting and Steel. Wow. Grass/Fire, of course, is also great, only weak to Flying, Poison and Rock (which can be dealt STAB super effective Grass damage back), but that's only five weaknesses neutralized and one can be dealt STAB double damage back, compared to six weaknesses neutralized and two that can be dealt STAB double damage back.
Outside of Generation 1 Ubers, the three mandatory Auto Include Pokemon are all Normal type being Tauros, Chansey and Snorlax. They all benefit from all of the Strongest moves being Normal and the Fighting type being so weak and weak the other strongest type. Pokemon can be paralyzed by things other than electric moves. You mentioned Body Slam and Tri Attack in this video- which can both cause paralysis. Also Stun Spore and Lick.
In Pokemon crystal you can encounter sneasel wich is a dark type in the cave between Mahogany Town and Blackthorn City so there was a dark type available before entering Kanto.
Actually Stunfisk's Limber ability wasn't that useless in the generation it was introduced. In gen V, where Stunfisk was introduced, Electric type Pokemon could still be paralyzed by moves like Body Slam and Stun Spore. Only from gen VI onward do Electric type Pokemon gain immunity to paralysis.
If you know how to read, if you actually read the freeze-dry attack's description, you'll know why it did super effective damage even with normalize as an ability.
