Thanks for the review! I got the tables after watching this. IMO, these are better quality than the first. I'm really hoping that these are not the last for the Legends HD.
I agree about your initial reviews. I have to play them all a little more to get an honest like/dislike. Egypt has held my interest the most, and the most fun... and I'm proud to say that I am might be in the top hundred 😂
I like the feel of the MP tables, the ball physics and layouts are different from Zen, but that's ok. Sometimes I'm in the mood for that. I like both. I would say Egypt is my favorite, but I like all four.
Right? It's not an either/or. It bothers me sometimes when people sh*t on other versions or programs. I get having preferences, that's cool. But one can like more than thing, even if they're different. It's also OK to like something more than something else, without talking down the other.
Just wanted to thank you for ripping me off on that Platinum plan. The only reason I bought it was for the Platinum deals, which quickly disappeared. That's totally shady. For my $110 bucks I received 1 game pack, The second Grinch pack that I never wanted and could care less about. I tried to contact you directly but you have customer support running interference for you. You do always seem to have time to suck up to youtubers though. Just wanted to let you know that I haven't purchased a thing since I was ripped off by your company. I'm actually very glad I didn't purchase the underpowered ALP 2.8K. I can honestly say that after being ripped off by Atgames I no longer like or trust your company. Maybe you could explain to everyone how you won't even respond to the Better Business Bureau's dozens of complaints against your company or how you kick people off of your Facebook group for telling the truth about your products. P.S. GFY
I agree that too many flippers and design aren't very good. I wish magic pixel would design pinball like real ones made. Maximum 4 flippers! Two ramps.
It kind of reminds me of the 90s where every heavy metal song had the guitarist "shredding" trying to stuff as many notes into a 30 second solo as humanly possible. To me music loses its flavor when its just a guitar screaming out notes just because the player can. This is why I never liked heavy metal! That's where these table designers have gone. They must have had a meeting, "stuff as much junk on the table and fill every other inch with anything that makes noise." At which I long for the old em days when a table wasn't so complicated that it took $6.00 in quarters just to learn the rules! Tables like Evel Kinevel and Lucky Fruit were as about as complicated as I ever wanted to get as a kid. Please make it fun again!
That is a GREAT question! I believe the latest, greatest, VPX tables (in particular ones by V--Pin Workshop, VPW) have better physics. More realistic physics. The ball has a real weight to it. The physics on these Natural History Pack 2 tables are still quite fine, though, especially with the SSF and Haptics. But I DO think that VPW tables feel more realistic. All that said, it's a very minor difference. And not ONCE while playing these did I think, "Man, I wish the physics were more realistic!"
@@digitalvictory8266 Do rather good, that is great to hear. It sounds like an Atgames can be a nice way for people to step into the hobby without having to DIY everything...although that is quite fun to do :).
At $25 for the HD version (which many of us simply cannot afford the 2k ugrade! Sadly I couldn't afford the HD until Sam's club started marking them way down!) and no discount this time I think the greed has set in on ATGames! I think this might be the last HD game they ever release from that ridicilous release price. I'm hoping the next sale brings it down some.
Africa is my favorite of the bunch, The visuals and audio on this table are sweet, appreciate the speed on the flippers and ball/lighting. Polar is also pretty cool, its prob a tie between that and Egypt, def got to play them more, as my likes could change, great review.
They're not that fun, and the sound design is poor like it is on every single one of MPs tables. Their tables put me to sleep! The boring half-EDM background sounds, yawn-inducing callouts. It's like they chose the most boring mundane sounds you could. Take a 10 second clip from any Williams table from the 90s and listen to HOW EXCITING IT IS! Then listen to 10 seconds of any Magic Pixel table. So boring.

Agree 100% Rick!! Good seein' ya, buddy!
I agree! I love anything Egyptian!
🙂
Indeed!!

Agree about business. That, they look nice, but wish plat was better
Yeah, I wonder how I get on their Playtesters roster? 🙂
Those tables look rather good. How does the gameplay (physics) compare to VPX tables?

How do you get those high scores on the Egypt table?
I'm working on a Tutorial for explaining exactly that!

So, what do you think of the set?
Do you feel my score 7.5/10 is accurate?

To much money, I won't purchase because I play zen more than anything.
Once standalone comes out I would never play this, saving my money.
