OH man!! I forgot to take that off the list! I actually had that and two other tables planned to go on the list. But they were culled for different reasons. On Short Circuit I kept losing my backglass. Normally I'd seek help and work through it, but ran to my deadline and had to cut it. Such is the life, man. People have no idea how taxing it can be to download, install, configure, sometimes fight to make work, all the tables I show. LOLOL (that's not counting the video work of the playthrough, the table highlights, and editing it all for the vid). Not complaining, just telling you about the process and time involved. That said, it was a really fun table and I'd still recommend it! 👍

Where did you get a fmd frame for Secret Agent? Ths download and the B2S jist came with a backglass not a DMD frame. I've got the large lower DMD like uou so am always having to search for those

I even checked today and never saw it and wasn't on the VP spreadsheet site which was weird. But found it with your link so I'll snag it tomorrow! For those with a Full DMD we need that gap filled!

SS machines have score displays. There are machines from the late 70's early 80's that will blur the lines as the industry went through the growing pains of the changeover, but skateball is def SS.
@@WIDERisBETTERin addition to the excellent explanation by Mitchell, another way to think about it is that Solid State tables will always have some sort of electronic "brain", a CPU, IC circuits etc... that do all the thinking, in terms of applying scores based on triggered playfield components, awarding extra balls, jackpots etc. Telling what lights to light up. An Electro Mechanical is exactly as it sounds. No CPU, no ICs, everything underneath the playfield and in the back box is made of mechanical components moving around by applying voltage and current. Scores are tracked and determined by complex mechanical reels etc. It's why an EM scoreboard has separate reels for each number, and why when you start a game it has to go through a process of rolling all the numbers to zero before you get your ball. That's all a mechanical process happening. It's also why Pinball machine bodies are as large as they are. They needed all that room to fit all the machinery in. Also, one very easy way to tell the difference visually, is that if you see a scoreboard that is digital, it's a solid state table. EMs as far as I know will always have reel-based scores.
I love the info! I have one massive question, how are your tables so bright!?! I look at the screenshots for willy Wonka you've referenced, put it on mine, and the vibrance and brightness is just NOT THERE!
I think the screen on my old HD machine, and especially in my 4K machine are really colorful themselves. But also - remember, I run a RUclips channel, and all my videos are produced in Adobe Premier. I always strive to make the visual pop, and during the video production in Premier, I always give some punch to the saturation, contrast and black level. The Legends 4K (and even the HD) look great. I've always thought they had excellent image quality. That said, I DO produce RUclips videos, and do what I can to make my videos pop (contrast, saturation, etc). Hell, even cameras nowdays do that "out of the box" when you video with them.

I'm actually not familiar with that table. If it's fairly new, we may yet still have to wait a while. It's my understanding (and I encourage others that know more than me about this chime in) that there is a tacit agreement that Virtual Pinball creators shy away from newer tables, and the real manufacturers tend to look the other way when older tables are created. It's a dicey area and I'm no expect (not sure anybody is) - but obviously, spot on versions are new tables are verboten.
you need to play futurama in 10.8 and change the view from legacy to windowed mode, to get a much better POV. as you are playing it right now everything is top down. trust me and check windowed mode. you might need to learn how to rotate the screen and size it properly once you turn window mode on. but once you set it you wont believe you eyes. Oh and yes secret agent is totally make believe theme, strickly from the mind of wizzball.
While changing to 'Window' mode, I suggest also to get into anaglyph 3D with "Aviator Anachrome red/cyan" 3D glasses (that specific model) and you won't believe what you see 👍
@bietekwiet2812 that's the only way I play vpx. Just make sure you get a good set of anaglyph glasses that do not cross talk too much. Legit is like looking into it for real table. And unfortunately only a handful of us use it. I think the real issue, is that people don't actually know about it, on understand what it does. The average user experiences at once and never want to play with any other way ever again 😂
I LOVE that table, but honestly, I'd love it a little more if I didn't just CONSTANTLY drain! LOL And I'm not talking about baby-level pinball or anything, but man I just could NOT keep the ball up there. Same thing with that real life JAWS table I played last weekend (see my recent video about Capital Pinball Parlor)! GREAT table! Looked amazing! sounded great! But I just constantly drained. Wasn't fun.

I just searched VPUniverse under "Secret Agent" and scrolled down until I saw the full DMD backglass. 👍
