Firefox supports extensions on Android. It's the main reason to use it
seriously.
Used to use Chrome, and it is really sh!t.
No real time syncing, no extensions, etc
So then when Edge launched with that BING AI search, that time I shifted to Edge, so atleast I have proper synced tabs.
But then Firefox just brought proper extension support on Android.
and since then there is just no looking back, syncing works flawlessly as well between devices.
It's just so great.
I've never used Firefox Mobile. I'll try it. Thanks for letting me know.

It’s all I use. Plus I prefer how the text looks on Firefox. I have Google chrome but I just use Mozilla on my PC. Safari on my phone.
Agree, I have it all set up with bookmarks and passwords, so easy when I buy a new device and add Firefox to it

I know 99% dont care, but Im mad at how hard it is to find an Android phone that works with a usb to hdmi adapter. All iphones can do it. It varies so much for each brand. 5 oneplus phones in my house do not work, maybe newer ones do? My old lg v30 does work. The flagship samsungs work i think. None of the pixels work. Except for the 8 i think because google was turning it on. I dont need samsung dex, just want to mirror my screen without wifi or lag.
Look at USB versions
Most manufacturers don't care to support any such "extra features" if they don't put certain USB versions on phones
have you tried displayport? my oneplus 7 pro running lineageos does screen mirroring with dp over usb flawlessly

Why would you use an apple watch if you only care about time and health metrics?? There's a whole brand built around that... And garmin even does a good job of it. And both are less expensive.

I don't want my apple watch to be able to work with my iPad, I want it to be able to work by itself. Get cellular, throw my phone in the garbage, and take calls, send texts, listen to music, open maps, track my workouts, run my schedule, etc. ALL on my wrist. All the tech is there, why I still have to pay for a phone plan is insane to me

I too ran into an issue this morning when I tried to comment on the video, and all I could see was the video nothing else on the screen. I do have a lot of things running so I ran the same video in private mode, and everything showed up. I disabled everything that made sense to disable, and it still did the same thing. I had to comment on a different browser, not chromium based still.

Still baffles me that the biggest tech people on the internet don’t know you can use an Apple Watch completely stand alone, not synced to anything. I synced my watch once during set up with a friends phone and I haven’t done it in over a year. I don’t own a phone. Everything syncs up with my iPad including health data, iMessage, music, podcast, etc.
Tried this with my son’s watch and couldn’t do basic things like sleep tracking, using RUclips music, and more. Frustrating that the iPad can’t do everything the iPhone can with the watch.
Same with samsung watches as well. I cant pair my watch to tab s8+. Have to pair it first with s23 and then it syncs over the internet
Biggest reason I won’t be replacing my AW with an AW. Bought a Garmin Epix Pro. And …. Switched to the Nothing Ear 2a. 😊

Consumer electronics companies need to make products that differentiate themselves from competitors. This insistence that they must also make their products compatible with competitor devices is ridiculous and does not make good business sense in many cases.

On my iPhone I can see the battery level of my Apple Watch but not on my MacBook Air, I think that is strange.

Always used firefox on windows and android. Only started using safari when I got my iPhone and mac later. Firefox is still my secondary browser on all apple devices. Non apple will be firefox.
I’m mad that I can’t find one android that just does everything. Like how every iPhone essentially does everything, why can’t there just be one android to rule them all?

Honestly…yeah I specifically bought an iPhone so I could use the watch but ideally I could pair it with my iPad and use an android phone. We can wish I guess

I prefer 10 times get an Apple Watch, an iPad mini and AirPod than an only an iPhone… it’s more money for Apple and more confort for me and more useful screen time.
The problem with needing a phone is an issue that all people with preteens are having... They want a way to communicate with their kids when they are not home but don't want to have to buy a phone to go with a watch. This is a problem for both apple watch and Android watches.
Families want a way to get an LTE watch without the need for an additional device.
No parent is having this issue. You can sync multiple LTE Applewatches for your kids or whomever with one iPhone.

It's an iPhone accessory and always have been. Why would anyone buy it expecting it to work with a different device? I don't understand why people just don't buy an Android watch if you have an Android phone.
Perhaps because they’ve shown us that it can - the watch already works with Macs (granted, in a VERY basic way) to auto-unlock from sleep, authorise software installs instead of typing a password, and even to Apple Pay for purchases. So wanting _(not expecting)_ just as ‘basic’ connectivity elsewhere isn’t totally outlandish. 😊
apple watch would be a nice device if they finally made it round and didn't have 3 applications on the phone to use it effectively. and now it's just a smart bracelet. with poor design.
The day Apple Watch becomes round is the day I ditch it. Nothing it currently does is made meaningfully better by a shape change… not even telling the time. 😔
What are you talking about? My Apple Watch Ultra runs circles around my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. I can actually use it as a standalone device and feel comfortable. Can't say the same for the laggy Galaxy watch. You've never used an Apple Watch huh?

Thing is that aside from the Apple ecosystem integrations Apple Watch is a mediocre sports/health/fitness watch with relatively poor battery life compared to e.g. Fitbit and Garmin (the one exception being its superior ecg functionality).
So honestly, I don't get being mad about not being able to pair Apple Watch to an Android.
Those who own one are okay with the perceived mediocrity, though. So even if not a selling point to go get one it can still be an additional reason to keep one for those that have ‘em, I guess.
Mediocre is unfair. If you’re comparing it to devices specifically designed for metrics then yes. But if you compare it to direct competitors it’s actually superior.

This is why i can never really appreciate apple because they force me to only use their product and i hate that stupid shit. if i decided to switch from samsung to say, nothing phone, i can migrate my earbuds and what have you over without any issues for the most part and i can pair my earbuds to Apple too. really deserves all the anti trust they get. like what microsoft went through before. no tech company is our friend
