An injury is also a casualty. So is being captured or ill. So, if one person is lightly injured, one is almost killed, and one is killed, your casualties = 3. Its for crippling injuries or near mortality
The programmers used floats instead of integers for more accurate measurements. Also was never programmed to avoid casualties in the first place lol 😂
