No matter how many times I hear this, this is so true. Wonder Woman being reduced to a tacked on third wheel was insulting to the character, despite being the best thing about it.
Death of Superman didn't need to happen at for the SECOND FREAKING ENTRY!! Luthor going all Dr Frankenstein on Zod was cool and should have been Bizarro.
Joker should have been the villain for Suicide Squad. Have him kidnap Enchantress and use her like a nuke. Have Joker there instead of Incubus and do the rest of the movie. Problem sort of solved.
I’m not so sure Wonder Woman was the best thing about this movie. I think I speak for everyone when I say the Batman warehouse fight was probably the best part of the movie

2 of DCs most colourful, family friendly fun films were directed by the creater of Saw and The Conjuring and by the director of Lights out (and also involved in the conjuring films) I think WB need to hire more indie horror directors

imagine trying to start a cinematic universe because your rival is doing it, and then end up screwing it over because you couldn't respect a guy who was mourning over a family tragedy.

It was screwed up way before that
Naah. The guy just made justice league extremely dark from the outset. You start of with establishing the characters and then go with complex stories. Instead Snyder rushed to create his version of Batman who is very different from the Batman in comics and previous adaptations.

His family tragedy was terrible.

The biggest problem is that superman didn’t even try to lure the fight with Zod away from the city. When he jumped over the gasoline truck that Zod threw and just let it slam into the building was so bad and out of character I thought Michael Bay directed it!
He did try to redirect zod, but zod kept redirecting Superman
Love how he called out Sups destroying an average dude's truck which is his livelihood. That scene made him look petty and every fans keep glossing it over.

I love how we all though Henry Cavill wasn't that fantastic of an actor until The Witcher came along & made us realize just how terrible the writing & directing was for his Superman character.
I think Henry Cavill truly understands the character of Superman so much more than Zack Snyder did (even though I liked certain aspects of his directing). I truly think he is one of the best actors to play the iconic role. I only wish he was written a little better and hopefully gets another chance in a sequel (maybe not but I can still dream).
From what I've read, Cavill seems like the sort who sits down and reads everything he can find about a character, on the off chance that a director might actually let him play the part correctly.
I've never liked superman movies but Henry does play the character well, especially in the justice league times.
True. The old Superman movies were true to the character and he was a positive role model. The fact that the end of Man of Steel had Superman kill Zod betrayed EVERYTHING Superman ever stood for.

@@lananiella CGI is neither good nor bad, just a tool... it's just some companies are leaning too hard in the "rule of cool", and care only about what looks cool or impressive on screen, and not about what serves the story the best. I mean, yeah, you can tell almost any story to any visual backdrop... but when the flashes occupy the whole screen, and the story is a rehash of clichés cause you didn't bother to prepare a decent script... well, the "rule of cool" just doesn't work
@@YouMakeMyMotorRun Very agreed. The recent "Fantastic Beasts" movie is a good example of this. The first 2 just devolved into the WAY over the top CGI finales, but this one actually restrained itself a lot. Surprised me. Maybe somewhere someone is catching on? We can only hope.

It’s very clear that Zack Snyder literally just played the Injustice game and he’s like “Aah, yes, Superman!” And then decided to dull Superman from happy and truth, justice to… eh… he could’ve done better and a LOT better… but he also could’ve done worse. So I guess there’s that.
Thing is that in Injustice, Superman turning dark and cold was the inciting incident of the story... not the basis for the character. I mean, Injustice wouldn't have worked if Superman was the protagonist, now would it?
