This Star Wars trailer compilation had been sitting in my watchlist for two weeks. I finally had a couple of hours to kill so I hit play. All I've got to say is that this was awesome! Thanks, Screen Junkies.
This is only 15 minutes less than the runtime of A New Hope. You wonder what Lucas and moviegoers of 1977 would say if you told them that 45 years later the film had become such a cultural touchstone that people created 1 hour and 45 minutes of parody trailers.
Moviegoers of 1977 would wonder what the hell you were talking about when you said "A New Hope". The movie didn't include that phrase until it was re-released when Empire came out.
Star Wars' tragically dysfunctional family in order of appearance: Darth Vader: A mass murderer, kills his mentor, tortures his daughter, tries to kill his son while his son tries to kill him, is killed by his other mentor Leia: Tries to kill her father, her son tries to kill her Luke Skywalker: Has romantic attraction to his sister, tries to kill his father Han Solo: Murders his partner in cold blood, and Greedo in cold blood, is killed by his son Kylo Ren: A murderer, Kills his father, tries to kill mother, tries to kill his uncle. This family is shakespearian in its depravity.
Han had to kill his partner Beckett because he knew that was about to be shot and he had to kill Greedo because he'd been a smuggler long enough to know what bounty hunters are like. Even calls them twirps to Jabba the Hutt before stepping on his tail. Don't forget Princess Leia kills him with her chain in slave outfit. No one knows if Salacious B. Crumb survives the Sarlac skiffer cruise ship but he is a tough one to kill
To be fair, in case of Luke: He tried to murder his Father before knowing that he was his father, and after that, he tried to kill him, because Father threatened to do bad things with his sister IN CASE OF KYLO, THOUGH (his Nephew), HE HAS NO EXCUSES
Somebody tell me that the Obi-wan Vader fight in A New Hope doesn't just look like a younger brother trying to poke his older brother with a stick and the older brother swiping it away while being mildly annoyed by it. "stooooooopppp! "lol
5:13 Fun Fact, in the original trailer for Empire Strikes Back, Darth Vader actually said "No, Obi-wan killed your father." they decided to put this line in the trailer in order to avoid leaks.
Revenge of the Sith will ALWAYS be one of my favorite Star Wars movie. I LOVED it. And Matthew Stover's novel is absolutely fantastic. I saw more times than I could count on two hands in the cinema.
The novelization really is dope. It actually expands on things that might have been good to know in the movie itself, lol. And it actually makes Anakin Skywalker seem like a legit badass (no hate intended to Hayden, it's totally not his fault, at least not entirely).

Not gonna lie but I love the prequels. It was just such an interesting time period. The politics may have been boring but it just showed what type of world the characters lived in. Before the dark times
Wait Revenge of the Sith is literally the 3rd best SW film. And the acting is not even close to bad. It’s where Hayden Christiansen finally reaches down and shows real talent. That “I HATE YOU!” is *chefs kiss*
Probably my all time favorite line of all honest trailers is in reference order 66 "and that's how you go out? Ahem. That's pathetic man.."... Hilarious and cathartic
Finally got to hear Darth Vaders original voice. I'm glad it was changed to James Earl Jones. JEJ voice is truly iconic and embodies Darth Vaders voice.
You have to do Violent Night... Its like the director watched your Honest trailer of Home Alone and decided to show how violent that movie actually is..
Wow! I saw the original Star Wars movies in the theater when they came out. Seen 1,2,3 and 7,8,9, seen the clone wars, seen all the Star Treks and TNG, all the Stargates series, The Orville, The Expanse and ever other sci fi series that ever existed and I never ever knew that the Star Wars Holiday special existed. @textmeontelegramryankinel0 can you tell me a phone number instead? because I need that apparently
21:17 "Somehow Palpatine returned" would like to have a word with you.

"Come on, JJ, you can't do worse than this."
Ohhhh, how naive we were.
Dude, calling him genuine class, absolute best reference EVER!
You guys should've redone the one for Phantom Menace. I wanted to hear what Epic Voice Guy thought of it.
*THIS!!*
Pleeease make a part 2, guys
Ok...I lost it at, "Clap those cheeks Yoda did!🤣🤣😭😭
53:11- The beginning, middle and end! But yeah, her not telling anyone that she actually had a plan was beyond dumb!!!
Every Star wars in one movie ? Interresting that It work
The Wookie growling montage is pure gold.
the whole point of the clones was to bring some life and personaility to each, they weren't just a clone :(
Hey thanks for watching🤗 monthly Gifts contest is on & you've been selected amongst the console price winners text the above name on telegram for your reward Happy Holidays 🎉🎁✍🏼
Hol up idk if this is a super obscure reference or if it’s a coincidence but for a new hope when u do the spoof names u call Alec Guinness “Genuine Class” which is exactly what Lisa’s friend comes up with to describe Alec Guinness when they play a celebrity anagram game
"Haden Christiansons acting choice was intentional?".......I almost woke up my son laughing so hard.
"Obi Wan - a man forced to act opposite lifeless CGI characters like Hayden Christensen"
Nice roast, but it wasn't his fault
Still waiting on an Honest Trailer for Better Call Saul
YESSSS
Congratulations in twisting the lines and my childhood memories

"Adultish Gambino" cracked me up.
The casual reference to seagulls, stop it now, was amazing.
It took me years to realize the reason Natalie Portman sounded so weird in Episode 1. It's because she was trying to mimic Kiera Knightley,
I did not realize that was Keira Knightley.
Amazing. Some of your best work and so much of it.
Not gonna lie but I love the prequels. It was just such an interesting time period. The politics may have been boring but it just showed what type of world the characters lived in. Before the dark times
I love that you invited old voices. Love love love love. Thank you :)
Best line in the entire vid: "Malibu Luke". 😄
Apparently order 66 was gonna happen in episode 2, thus the title makes sense. But then Lucas decided to have it happen in episode 3.
How has the clone wars series still not have an honest trailer after all this time
You had to reference the yoda bad lip reading finally got it out of my head.
"come on JJ, there's no way you can do worse than this"
JJ Abrams: "hold my beer"
8:48 - Don't think you can just sneak a reference to Bad Lip Reading's greatest musical number by us!
Do you guys still remember the realization that luke and lea are actually siblings.....well that was a shocker😂
Well Done sir. I loved the "Rouge One" title. perfection😛
"Everyone gets a medal" except Chewie... until episode IX

Finally got to hear Darth Vaders original voice. I'm glad it was changed to James Earl Jones.
JEJ voice is truly iconic and embodies Darth Vaders voice.
Props for the nod to Bad Lip Reading who have made the Dagobah segment impossible for me to watch without singing "Seagull Poke-Ah!"
You guys should do an honest trailer for every Harry Potter movie!
They may not have but CinemaSins did
You have to do Violent Night...
I guess I was blessed. I looked that up. What a POS. I can see why it got buried.
Ewen sounded so "flamboyant" when he said, "I best be on my way" lol 😅
Ewok movies being Captain Phasma's origin story is now my official canon.
Captain Brienne Phasma got her Valerian Lightsaber from Jamie Skywalker.... oh wait, I'm mixed up LOL
@1:28:40 ROF LMFAO you made me spit my water out my nose. "in the most remote CORNER, of the CENTER of the Galaxy."
I was the target audience for the ewok era. Wicket will always be one of my favorite star wars characters.
You guys had me at "Star Wars, the first one. We are not calling it A New Hope"
Adultish Gambino had me dying🤣🤣
