@@SteveReynold This video is educational. They seem too stupid to safely operate a boat. People get injured or die from being too stupid to go out on the ocean. As Lifeguard and Coast Guard Auxilliary Patrol, how do I know this?
Bail out all the water, to lighten the boat. Lift the front to get some water between the boat and the sand, to reduce the suction. Hard to believe the boat is FULL of water, and they are still trying to drag it out into open water.

Never seen anyone try to kick water out of a boat. Good to think outside the box. 😂. A cubic foot of water weights 62 pounds. That boat is 14 feet long, about 4 feet wide. It’s got roughly 3500-pounds of water in it…about the weight of a compact car.
Effectively sunk. Only that it is aground makes it visible for us to watch. I wonder if he has a bilge pump?
He really needs to be kicking the water out with both feet to make any progress. 😂
@@paulrapp613 Doubtful on a tiny 14'. There are stick pumps available that I've put in my boats for emergencies.. 3 1/3' long, run off Milwaukee Tools cordless batteries. 250-450gph.
After afloat don't need no pumps, pull the plug and power up.

That's a woman who has definitely moved all of her furniture around in her house, by herself, because she wanted to see how it would look over there. The sheer determination combined with persistence and a touch of downright stubbornness can get a world of work done!

The struggle is real! Me and my friends helps some guys several years ago at Carolina beach. They had a similar boat. They had beached it and ignored it while having too much fun. Waves filled it up. We fortunately had the manpower to drag it up on shore to pull the plug and let it drain. Then relaunched it.

Don't use your motor as an anchor lol. Trim all the way up and start pushing. It's a 14' flat bottom boat. Wouldn't be that hard. Having it full of water doesn't help though but it wouldn't have been if they trimmed the motor up and let it float.
Those people would try to empty the Sahara of sand.
Once you get the skiff afloat they could have rocked it back and forth and with the right rhythm sloshed the water out of the boat

They just forgot to trim up the engine that stuck the hull over the sand. How come he didn't notice that? Probably never saw a trim botton as he tried to run the propeller over the sand sucking it inside to worst the problem. He may have lend or rent to navigate first time. The video was cut when engine suddenly appeared trimmed up. That guy probably informed about it. Cheers from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! Keep laughing and not complaining folks.

No pumps, no bailing devices. Lets try and move the back end because it is the heaviest. Push the bow out, it is the lightest end. Put the engine in reverse and take clean water to wash away the sand. Enlist help from strangers, but number one tip, don't get stranded on beaches.
Why not just pull the transom plug and let the water out .

That would be cheating... No, he probably did not know that boat will float even with the plug out..... Nice boat really. Still need brains to run it.
No point in playing with the trim; take the cement brick they use as an anchor off of the boat, then swing the damn bow out and let the waves do the heavy lifting. This isn't rocket science.

Pull the plug and start moving, the water will drain. I’ve done it often.
I mean we have all made mistakes while boating but just So Many Here. Realized its the combinations in life that get you!

The spring loaded trim tabs on the back dug into the sand and were holding the boat in place like two mini power poles. The engine down also anchored the boat as well. Could have simply raised the motor and disconnected the tabs.
Guess it’s back to the slots!😉
Imagine how the impeller and cooling system looks after sucking all that sand.
I don’t know why they didn’t just turn it upside down to let the water run out LOL.
The twit somehow managed to get himself into that situation and it was'nt even a heavy swell. Was the concrete block a decoration? He should have dropped it in deeper water before going in close. Kicking water out of the boat real bright, where was the bailer? He couldhave had her sit on the leeward side to raise the weatherside and reduce the water coming over the side. The trolling motor could possibly have been used to wash water under the hull and break the suction.
Is the boat on E Bay now does anybody know.? I kind of like them, Dory's as we called them back in my younger days. We had a couple as rescue boats in our beach lifegaurd corps, Great boats.

Man thats rough. He cant bail the water out fast enough before another wave washes over in. His best bet would be to work the bow towards the waves and that will help alot to bail water with less coming in.
Ever heard of a bilage pump suppose to have one before leaving the dock for a reason.
The problem is these guys have a couple hundred gallons of water in the bottom of their skiff times. 8 lb per gallon. You know they have. 1000-1,500 lb of water in this little boat. They are going to be there a long long time if they don't empty it out.
Move all the weight to the rear. Lift up the motor. Bail as much as possible. Lift lightened bow to turn into waves.

Wow. Nice boat. Will float even full of water no joke. How did he get one? With those brains? They could have worked together to get the bow out toward the ocean. Then bailed water out quickly. Boat floats. Get one in, one hold the boat. Start engine in neutral. Next one gets in boat. Put in FORWARD gear, hopefully, and navigate away from land, to deeper water. Slowly. Watch for people and sandbars. Why is this not common sense? I never got stuck on a beach. But beached many times. I had two anchors... Always.... Great video.
The main thing they got wrong is not trimming the motor up to let the boat float. Motor was acting as an anchor stuck in the sand and creating resistance as they tried to push.

When it's recreational boaters, I give people a lot of leeway, I don't really see this as a huge fail, they got the boat unstuck probably learned a lesson and went on with their day!
What IS a huge fail is when professional fishermen and professional captains end up with their boats run aground and destroyed!! That's their fucking job and they do it for a living everyday and yet those fucking idiots still manage to end up grounded and sunk!!!

Dig a whoke around the prop area with motor off. Then start motor and idle to keep the battery charged and run the sump will trying to find spmething to stop the waves goong into the boat

Lift the motor and pull the front into the waves. Pull the plug and get on the throttle. The water will drain.
Looks like that boat is too small for those waters.

well batteries fuel etc will have to be replaced with an added bilge pump should.
Remove heavy gear and weird anchor.
Trim motor clear of water line.
Turn bow towards waves.
Two people push and pull on bow when waves lift boat.
Repeat till boat is drifting.

ALSO....Maybe get more help and experience.
It's so full of water by this point that it's so heavy it's sinking into the sand, without be able to get the water out ( good luck it's as low as a kayak ) it's probably not going anywhere buy bottom.
Parked it sideways in the surf, and the wave action basically stuck it to the mud. Bad move.
