Yes, Harris got old, as have I, as do we all. He had a blast getting there, though, had more fun than anybody. He didn't know he was hypoglycemic for many years and, not knowing to avoid sugar, put a lot of wear and tear on his body. Still, what an actor, he always underplayed everything beautifully. He seems a little sad here but little did he know, Harry Potter was waiting in the wings and generations of children would love him as the old wizard, albus dumbledore. He also had a great career as a singer back in the 60's, bought the rights to the road version of Camelot, the musical, and got unbelievably rich touring in it. When he got control of Camelot, the first thing he did was have them strengthen the part of Merlin and add some dazzling in-person special effects, (foreshadowing the wizard he would become in Harry Potter. Interestingly, he didn't take a fee for Harry Potter but instead talked them into giving him two percent of the merchandising, which made him another fortune). But I'll always personally remember him as the greatest raconteur I've ever heard and as somebody who ALWAYS made me laugh. He was truly larger than life. God bless him.
The man was one of a kind. Great actor, Great drinker, great talent - what a singer- McArthur’s Park. But the one I’ll always remember him for- King Arthur- CAMELOT was all him. The passion of his life is contagious.

Love Richard Harris.
He went up there with an Irish sence of humour in France, but it sank like a led balloon
I get a strong sense he knew he was running out of road…..
That was terrible
Why????
