      If you can get a mid wall to snap to the entry piece you can use a wire to go from a vault power hookup to one on the outside of your disconnected section in order to power it.

    THIS WAS SO HELPFUL! I just got back into Fallout 4 and found Vault 88. I had NO CLUE that this was how it worked. I have wires crisscrossing all over my vault. So glad to know that I can just throw up a few of those vault conduit things! Thank you so much!

  • @joshuabowers
    @joshuabowers 8 лет назад +33

    In addition to conducting power, vault pieces also conduct terminal connections. So, you can hook a terminal up to a vault power conduit in one room and control some device elsewhere in the vault, so long as there is a continuous path of vault pieces and conduits between them.

  • @Rigel_Chiokis
    @Rigel_Chiokis 3 года назад +9

    A HUGE thank you! This is one of those things that makes me think "I wish I had known that all along". I probably saw that conduit at some point and assumed it was like any other conduit. I had no idea you could power a vault using the walls instead of power lines! This also saves some of your build budget by not putting up power pylons and conduits all through the place. FYI, any conduit will transmit power 2 squares in every direction, so you can spread them out with 4 squares in between each conduit.

  • @Battusai1984

    Things to note, if you type /tcl in the console and go underneath the floor you can actually see how the generator is connected to that initial vault piece, it's a cute easteregg but it also shows that bethesda had to jerry rig their own game instead of just coding it to work properly in the first place ^^.
    The power transmittion only works with the dlc vault pieces, if you use modded pieces they will break the link (provided they are the only piece connecting two things.
