got done building a 5 story vault with furnishings and tunnels to find out my entrance wasn't properly snapped on, I just about murdered my whole family
If you can get a mid wall to snap to the entry piece you can use a wire to go from a vault power hookup to one on the outside of your disconnected section in order to power it.
What a demonic LUCIFARIAN thing to say.. I'd bet your liberal trash..

Damn it. I've been building my vault for hours and trying to figure this out. Thank you for the tip
7 Years and the advice still helps us old dogs. Thanks for the tips 😅
every time you said "the power will flow" all i could think was "the spice must flow"
Thank you. This has been a massive help. The whole design of the games build function is so confusing and the devs have made no effort to guide the player through it
In addition to conducting power, vault pieces also conduct terminal connections. So, you can hook a terminal up to a vault power conduit in one room and control some device elsewhere in the vault, so long as there is a continuous path of vault pieces and conduits between them.
THIS WAS SO HELPFUL! I just got back into Fallout 4 and found Vault 88. I had NO CLUE that this was how it worked. I have wires crisscrossing all over my vault. So glad to know that I can just throw up a few of those vault conduit things! Thank you so much!
I need a vault to crawl into please let me into a vault I'll dance for food and water
I knows its been 3 years but I was your 69th like and I'm proud god damn it
Ratboy You’re a man with goals I’m proud of you, stay well friend
I’m number 88
And I wired everything like an idiot xD thank you for this video :)
Adam Jonda ahahahahaha i'm glad that I see this video first, cause I almost did the same as you XD
In this dlc the power system is soo different. But thanks to her i figured it all out. :D
A HUGE thank you! This is one of those things that makes me think "I wish I had known that all along". I probably saw that conduit at some point and assumed it was like any other conduit. I had no idea you could power a vault using the walls instead of power lines! This also saves some of your build budget by not putting up power pylons and conduits all through the place. FYI, any conduit will transmit power 2 squares in every direction, so you can spread them out with 4 squares in between each conduit.
DEC 31 2019 my Fallout 4 Life changed forever, revisited this game and finally did vault 88, my entire vault looks like a spider web of wires and conduits, who knew it was this easy, I feel dumb. Thanks for the tip.
July 26th 2022.
Don't feel bad. I didn't even know vault 88 had unique generators and I thought the giant water facility was just decoration.
Todd Howard really needs to step aside and let others who give a crap handle advertising features
I'm trying another playthrough and only doing Vault 88 for the 2nd time, and it's been so long since the first time that I forgot how all this power stuff works. Your video was a big help, so thank you.
I love you for this. I've spent 2 hours trying to wire everything in and only finished half of the outside of my vault. It was driving me crazy
You are a lifesaver! I just picked up the DLC and couldn't figure out how to light my vault properly. I was trying to use the conduits and I kept thinking there had to be a better way.
Thanks again!
thank you. all other videos talk on forever or explain it terribly but you did it in a short video and to the point. once again, thank you lol
Thank you! :)
Oh wow!!! I have spent countless hours trying to figure out this damn power! Thanks so very much for the video, and simple to understand. Thanks again
Thanks my dude, had so many questions and got even more answers than required. Awesome vids!
I am replaying Fallout 4 again and finally wanted to figure this out.
You video was perfectly clear and exactly what I needed. Thank you!
Things to note, if you type /tcl in the console and go underneath the floor you can actually see how the generator is connected to that initial vault piece, it's a cute easteregg but it also shows that bethesda had to jerry rig their own game instead of just coding it to work properly in the first place ^^.
The power transmittion only works with the dlc vault pieces, if you use modded pieces they will break the link (provided they are the only piece connecting two things.
Thank you for this video...I had NO IDEA power could transfer like that. I haven't done much ele yet, but everything I have done is based off that entryway so now I can't wait to try it out! Gonna make it much easier, faster and will look cleaner with no wires!
Thank you so much, I have watched dozens of videos and struggled with setup off and on since the dlc dropped, I just let my residents live like mole rats until now.
I heard about the vault pieces carrying power after I commented on another one of your videos, but I still didn't know that the pieces had to be connected to the main entrance piece in the atrium. Thank you, this was helpful.
This video was really easy to understand thank you! All this time later and fallout is still loved and played
Wish i had of seen your vid before i started lol
Honestly
Thank you for this vid!!!! It really help clear up a lot of confusion about why I had no power.
Thank youuuuuu. I didn't know I needed to add vault power conduits every few panels
Awesome, thank you! I just started my second playthrough a few weeks ago and got my vault for the first time
I'm glad I saw this. I thought I'd have to pre-wire sub-assemblies before putting them in place or pull my hair out with conduits. Great video
I Google this and your video popped up and it helped me out so much. Thank you so much, i can't believe I didn't have power when I first played this dlc but thanks to you I will always have light
7 years after the upload date and it’s still helping 🙏 thank you
Let the power hit the floor, let the power hit the floor, let the power hit the... FLOOOOOR! ;)
Jan Strzelecki LET THE POWER HIT THE FLOOR, LET THE POWER HIT THE FLOOR!! xD
Haha, perfect
Liked this video before and got back into fallout again. Trying vanilla builds with no mods and for the life of me couldn’t remember how easy it was to light stuff up. Thanks
Seeing this explained made me feel like I'd suddenly unlocked the secrets of the universe because I just could not figure out how to cleanly wire power through the vault
THANK YOU! You're seriously a saint. I doubt I would've found that out on my own
Love your tutorial videas on making things. I love replaying fallout 4 alot
Great job, thanks so much for your videos. Having way more fun now.
Thanks for the video I was trying to see if there was a easy way to spread that power to the water machine.
Thank you one of the best presented "how to" videos,
I wish I saw this video before placing power conduits on ceiling and pulling cables through my vault. Thanks :)
Thanks for making this awesome video! Really helped me out lol
Still playing my fallout4, thank you for your video!
oh my god thank you so much! i’ve been using traditional conduits and generators and i was so devastated cos it was draining all my resources DX thank u for the help!!!
7 Years and this is still helping people.
Doing another playthrough in 2024 and I never knew about the vault power conduit and how it worked.
No more noisy generators in vault 88.
Than you.

5 years later and this helped me SO MUCH
Thanks for the info I was so confused on how to power vault 88 lol
So simple. Thank you! Looks much better without wires everywhere lol
Very helpful, thank you.
I know you yourself will know but just in case others are wondering with the vault conduits you can place them on the outside wall if possible and they still work
Your videos are the best companion to have in F4.god bless
Thank you! I was so aggravated that I couldn't get power going, what a pain this DLC is
Thank you so much, this is real going to help

At last something useful...thanks from Italy ;)
Italiaaa
Finally someone can explain it perfectly ... thanx
7 years later and this video is still helping people 😂
Great video! Thanks
Thank you so much haha I was making generators on the outside of my vault lol and lost interest because I was expecting it to be complicated and costly but it's easier than I thought 😊😊😊
Great tutorial and explanation! Really wish this was explained in the actual game. There is next to no explanation on how settlement building works let alone the vault building.
This is what the internet was made for. This video is JUST what I needed!!!!!!!😊😊😊
OMG thank you so much! I subscribed!
