I did. It looks like all of you had fun. I also miss seeing that gentlemen, the one who played Tefferi, on you show, and I am glad he is well. I also liked your Fresh & Blood game with Kyle.
I honestly love every Doctor (yes even Colin Baker), but my favorites are Troughton, Baker (Tom), McCoy, McGann, Eccleston, Tennant, Smith, and Capaldi. But again, I love ALL of them, those are just tied for favorite.
They gave Prof a deck reveal?!?!? I know Gavin knows he is a huge Dr Who fan, but never thought they would officially work together again. This is awesome!!!!
Getting someone seriously passionate about the cards and story is far better than just handing it to someone who knows nothing so The Prof was a good choice.
@serrotnodnarB oh yes. His first season is a bit rocky, but his second season is extremely watchable, and the final season is honestly the best the show ever had been since the Hinchcliffe era, and ended its run on a bang. Problem was, no one watched it at the time.

EDIT: I intend to play the decks as-built against each other when I first get them, but then take them apart and put various cards in other decks. All the Doctors and some supplemental cards related to them will all go in my Jodah (the Fist of Suns version, not the Legendary Cascade version) deck.
Just curious, but why Jodah? How would the deck play like? Feels like the Legendary Cascade one would work better but I've never used either so I'm not sure.
@@thisgraincharacter6400 The deck started out with Cromat as the commander, with the goal of getting out and using Door to Nothingness as quickly as possible. The reason for using the first Jodah is it's the one I have, and it makes most of the spells in the deck cheaper. One of the cards I'm adding from these decks will be the TARDIS, since that will give a spell each turn Cascade anyways.
@@TheAustinKendallYes, it is. It’s The Doctor’s Daughter, season 4, episode 6, with David Tennant as The Doctor. He meets a character played by Georgia Moffett, who identifies herself as his daughter. Georgia Moffet is Peter Davison’s real life daughter. Peter Davidson played the 5th Doctor, so not only is the character the Doctor’s daughter, the actress is, as well. (Her name is Moffett because “Peter Davison” is a stage name.) I consider myself a much bigger WH40K fan than a Whovian, but I will admit that these decks - especially this one - fill me with nostalgic glee. I never watched Doctor Who or intended to, but seeing the professor's passion and how good this decks looks, really makes me want to both watch the show and buy the decks
As a massive Whovian, I can tell you the show isn't for everyone. Most people who watch it, can only enjoy certain eras. Nothing wrong with that, but the show is vastly different in tone and style across the years. You just got to get used to the very low budget of the classic series. Even for the time, it was fairly bad. But if you wanted to check it out, I'd suggest Genesis of the Daleks for a tale of unending war leading to unconscionable acts. Try Kinda if you want a creepy psychological thriller. The Curse of Fenric (my fav from the classic era) for a dive into the nature of belief and values set in WWII Britain. In the modern era, try Blink for a truly terrifying time bending horror. Vincent and the Doctor for a heartwarming and tear jerking exploration of depression.
If you enjoy practical effects, both good and bad, as well as some often times goofy writing, acting, and storytelling...but, also with some awesome fantasy sci-fi creativeness then, definitely give it a go. There are also very powerful moments, I'd say, but the biggest hook is the weekly time travel/sci fi story and seeing what they came up with and the execution of the idea. I'd suggest just starting with the "New Who" starting in 2005 I believe.
I am six days into learning and playing Magic: The Gathering. The Lord of the Rings set caught my attention. That led to giving Wilds of Eldraine a glance. I know your relationship with Wizards of the Coast has been a bit strained over the last few years, but in the short time I've been subscribed to the channel, one thing that's been abundantly clear has been your passion for Magic: the Gathering, and getting to see you put that passion on display here alongside your love for the Doctor Who universe has already made today fantastic. I can't wait to see you and your guests put that same passion and love for all things Magic and the Doctor on display later today.
It does seem to offer a lot of value with the customization. With all the legendary permanents, Reki, History of Kamigawa seems like a fun choice.
That is by far the highest versatility of deck builds in precon commander decks I've ever seen. So much value it's almost hard to believe with some of the precons released recently.
I decided to watch City of Death because of the Saga, and I hoped against hope that we would get a Duggan card that punches people. HELL YEAH DUGGAN PUNCH
Awesome! Your ending theme song takes me back to school in the 90's .

Great video as always, Prof. Glad you were able to do a deck reveal, and loved hearing all your thoughts.

I'm not even a Doctor Who fan myself, but I just picked this deck up yesterday. It's been a blast to goldfish it! I even keep coming back to this video just to get excited over it again and again!
I'm so happy that someone who loves Dr Who so much gets to reveal a deck. You can just hear Prof's excitement
