When a bank teller discovers he's actually a background player in an open-world video game, he decides to become the hero of his own story -- one that he can rewrite himself. In a world where there's no limits, he's determined to save the day his way before it's too late, and maybe find a little romance with the coder who conceived him.
Cobra Kai reaction are out right now on Patreon! The first episode is free for everyone, so go check it out if you haven't yetwww.patreon.com/JVsGalacticAdventures
I beg you to do Bebe's Kids its a classic must do hilarious movie 🎬
one of my favorite small details is that in that final scene where Millie and Keys are looking at each other across the street, Keys is wearing a blue shirt. 🥰
I used to be a gamer, too, but then I took an arrow in the knee.
You were lucky I took an arrow in the head.
Ryan Reynolds's version of the Lego movie!
Absolutely love this movie!
9:44 while I've never worked at a video game company, I assume it would only require one keyboard if they were coding first and testing their build later, but since they do both at the same time in the film, it would require two, one to code and one to play.
I have seen instructions for games and mods that say that Logitech keyboards are different, and you have to unplug/uninstall it before downloading or running a game/exe.
Perhaps he is testing the game for both types of keyboards.
JV, I've been watching you and Jane for years now, and I've never seen you more into a movie! I'm 7 minutes in, and I can't wait to finish this reaction!
16:40 YESSSSS I grew up on Star Trek Voyager and the Doctor's arc to becoming more human was so great and all the episodes where he was learning and fighting for his rights as a sentient being. And then he graduated to teaching Seven more about her human side since she was assimilated at such a young age........man i should go rewatch XDDD
Omg! You're the one person that got that reference!! Hahaha amazing 👍🏾Data had a similar journey 🖖🏾
@@JVsGalacticAdventures yeah I remember liking Data too but unfortunately I don’t think I finished tng. I remember I got far tho 😆
From being upset that he wasn’t being turned off after use to attaining hobbies to meeting his creator that one time. He was a great character. I’m realizing after 20 years I only remember the broad strokes anymore, but they’re good memories. :)
Another win for gamers ! 🥳🥂 glad you enjoyed this one, JV ✌
That Chris Evans cameo was just 👌
Apparently, that was kind of a coincidence. Chris Evans happened to be in town when they were filming and Ryan Reynolds contacted him and asked if he wanted to be in the movie. They met at the coffee shop and filmed his scene in, like, 10 minutes.
What the shit
@@SpiderEthan123 Language!
@@samuelvincent557 haaa
@@samuelvincent557 no one else is gonna deal with the fact that cap said language
I always thought that Guy (Ryan Reynolds) is like Pinocchio, a live puppet without strings 🤔 when this was in theaters 🎥. I've been a fan of Ryan Reynolds since he was in Green Lantern 💚 😳 🤣 😉. Can't believe it's been that long now.
That’s actually Jodie Comer singing “Sweet Fantasy” at the end.
Another thing to watch, which I really enjoy, is a series called Upload. It also goes back and forth between a virtual world and the real world, though most of the characters in the show are/were real people.
JV easily recognized Hugh Jackman
Your speech about self aware AI and them having rights kind of reminds me of Bicentennial Man starring Robin Williams.
I've never seen it. Should I do a reaction to it??
@@JVsGalacticAdventures Has a bit of everything, really good film.
@@JVsGalacticAdventuresalso the game Detroit: Become Human is a great decision based story about exactly this. Highly recommend!
@@JVsGalacticAdventures You should definitely watch it, one of my favorite movies staring Robin Williams.
The director of this movie also directed The Adam Project and will direct Deadpool 3 so I’m excited
Another movie with Ryan Reynolds that you might enjoy is The Adam Project.
Would be great to have you reacting.
Saw this in theaters not really expecting much and was blown away with how much fun it was
@28:27 lol I guess I know something I didn’t know about JV 😂 amazing content as always. I remember wanting to not watch this movie but my sister really pushed me to watch it. I’m glad she recommended it to me it was a great movie and an enjoyable watch. Ryan Reynolds’s is funny and may have a big potty mouth but has a lot of the cheesy goey feel good moments that just balances out everything he says and does. Loved the plot for this and its own take on it. 😊
I can always return the Batman Arkham Games without ever getting bored. I am currently playing the Soulsborne-like game "Lords of the Fallen" (2023)
Awesome reaction of my favorite superhero movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
I don't think only one person will get the reference of the doctor from Voyager. But if it is only one, that's me. 😂
I love the idea of AI getting concious too. One of the best parts of Voyager are the doctors storylines and how he builts relationships.
This movie is so freakin cool!
What I really loved about this movie is how moronic the villain is.
He literally The first living artificial intelligence and he Doesn't want to market it and doesn't want to take advantage of the most popular character in this game.
He doesn't do it because it's not his and he won't get any credit
I use to love ReBoot The CG in that was pretty impressive to me at the time.
I love Reboot. It's on RUclips in 4k. Just search Reboot 4k
You 100% can be a good person in gta. You can return stolen purses and you can run a nightclub and car garage and stuff
4:49 ah, like the prophet in secret of evermore.
I love a good single player story mode ever since I was a kid; Alan Wake, Bioshock, Crisis, Bully…currently playing GTA4: BOGT again
My absolute favourite video game ever is My Singing Monsters, but I LOVE Grounded and It Takes Two too.
Hello, fellow Space Engineer. Been playing it off and on since 2017.
The trailer for this came out in like 2019 and I was so excited but then the pandemic hit and the movie got pushed back for years.
I don't game as much as I used to, no time. But I have been enjoying Zelda: TotK.
Top 5 favorite games, Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Far Cry 3, Skyrim, Batman Arkham City
Your cars are all black and red? Is that your fav color combo for cars? If so, it's also mine. Something about red and black looks amazing. You looking forward to gta 6? As for this movie, I was sad I didn't see it in theaters. I thought it looked silly, but once I rented it I was blown away at how amazing it was. From references to games and gaming, to the acting. I love it.
I never understood the sock thing either. LOL I've only seen it in movies.
I'm a 3D artist and have dabbled in games. Never heard of using 2 keyboards.
i personally prefer to play board games than video games. but i do enjoy watching others playing video games.
As a Star Trek Voyager fan I highly recommend Star Trek Prodigy. Would love to see a reaction too.
Cool movie & Don’t have a good day have a great day
Recently saw this movie. Guy is like Monika from DDLC but without the world ending power.
Top 5 favourite games:
1. Dragon Quest 9
2. Blue Dragon (Xbox360)
3. Dragon's Dogma

I would like to play My time at Sandrock. And currently working on Zelda Skyward sword (NS) then the others I have of Link's Awakening, Tears of the Kingdom, Breath of the Wild (NS), Wind Waker (Wii U) and Twilight Princess (Wii).
JV you should definitely watch The Creator, it's an incredible piece of art. The film is going to blow your mind and evoke so many complex emotions. Please do check it out!
Bebe's Kids is a must do video! A classic hilarious funny movie 🎬 😂😂please back me up lol
Jayyyy veeeeee
29:45 Anton would’ve done it anyways to get rid of the blue shirt guy whether he was an AI or not. 32:09 check out “Star Trek The Next Generation” Season 2 Ep 3 “Elementary, Dear Data” and Season 6 Ep 12 “Ship in a Bottle” it’s about AI.
You don't hear people referencing ReBoot very often
I love that show!
I havent gamed in a few months, but back then I was working my way through the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. But I tend to get too wrapped up in side missions.
I think Spider-Man and Miles Morales are my favorite recent games.
Growing up, I was all about NES (a friend got one Launch Week), Master System, saved up to get the Genesis in launch day, and took a long break before getting into a bit of PS2 and GameCube.
I will play like crazy for a few months and then not play at all for a year. Weird. 😮
My biggest addiction gaming wise was Everquest..man, I got hooked for a while. Luckily my WoW time was short (had a kid a few months into it).
I love how you say"back then" in the good old days of 2023.
@davidjackson2832 what would've been appropriate for me to have said about 6-8 months ago?
Great action movie.
I understod the voyager doctor reference. Lol
Favourite games: half-life, morrowind, fallout 1&2, Deus Ex, Deus Ex invisible war (it is ok for what it is, remote controlled rocket fun), Fable 2 (sub targeting lots of fun), Diablo 2, Age of Empires 2:conquerors expansion...too many to count.
Great video
11:39 I play EA WRC and World of Tanks
Top 5:

2. GTA San Andreas
3. The Last of Us 2
4. Uncharted 4
5. Detroit: Become Human
Great reaction to a fun movie. ❤
Ah...JV...TMNT3 Manhattan project...what's the code?
Mass effect series
Detroit: become human
Star wars old republic
Freedom Force series
Balders Gate series
Im playing hell divers 2 and its awesome
I am going to be honest, the romantic ending is the only thing I didn't like about this movie :( There was just no chemistry between Millie and Keys. And yeah, they tried to fix things by saying "well he coded Guy after himself" but because we haven't actually seen Keys do any of those things it feels more like an exuse rather than a good plot point. Not saying Millie should have ended up dating AI but I feel like they could have done it better. Maybe could have changed one of their meetings outside the company to the walk in the park so it would parallel nicely with Millie walking with Guy or just make a flashforward in the end.
Yo JV on the classic N64 did you ever play a video game called Banjo Kazooie if not you should definitely check it out it’s 100% top tier in my opinion if you have played it what are your thoughts on it?
Watch open season 2 and elmo in grochland
biggest issue with this movie is her kissing him. right after they made it clear there is no way for a player to do so
I've seen some theories on Reddit that gave me closure on the matter. Lol
I don't think we're ever going to get to true AI, in the sense of being self-aware and self-determining like in this movie. We're getting much better at approximating it, but it's still not truly generative. Originally, it was specifically programmed moves, like when they taught computers to play chess (which, btw, people thought was going to be the threshold for true AI before they achieved it), and now it's programming how to mix and match things (whether words or images) from other sources. It's getting better at *looking* like true intelligence, but none of it is truly original.
It's logically impossible. Nothing can create something that matches (or even comes close to) it's own complexity. Consider what a child is capable of- both physical feats and those of thought and imagination. No matter how amazing they may be, all those things it can do and create are, of necessity, less complex and powerful than the child itself. No book is as complex, no machine is as amazing, no piece of art is as nuanced as the minds that created them. The human brain is incredible, but it will never be able to create anything even close to as complex as it itself is.
Agree that we can't create something more complex than the brain. However, we only use a fraction of our brain. So if can create something that utilize the equivalent of half out brain, they would be superior and seem more complex than us.
@@davidjackson2832 But if we're only using a fraction of our brains, then that fraction can't invent something equal to or greater than itself (like a half). Also, it's a myth that we only use a fraction of our brains- it's been debunked by neuroscientists
@@davidjackson2832 First, it's a myth that we only use a fraction of our brains- it's been debunked by neuroscientists. But even if it's true, if we're only using a fraction of our brains, then that fraction can't create something even as complex as itself, let alone greater, like a half.
Sorry mate, when did you shave your head? The algorithm hasn't led me to you for a while but i didn't recognise you on the thumbnail. I just felt like a Ryan reaction
