helloooooo, I wanna share some details about the video! Firstly, the two halves are ENTIRELY independent productions which I then stitched together! The first half was directed by Jack, and we worked with a talented crew of friends. We shot a bit of it in a studio, but mostly at a graveyard (which we fortunately got council permission for). The second half was recorded by just Jai and I. In fact, the second half was planned, AND shot in only one day. You can see the first shot is at sunrise and the last is at sunset (it's entirely chronological). We drove all around Sydney in a crazy rush to catch every last bit of sun!

The vampiric imagery at the start flavors the song to be about an immortal vampire who finds love with a mortal woman. She sees past his multitude of sickly dispositions (such as the immutable craving for human blood) and he finally feels warmth. Like all mortals though, she dies. Now the vampire has to confront the fact that he will live forever without her.
The lyrics on their own are tragic and realistic, but making it into a gothic romance makes it a little more of entertainment and not just heartbreaking to me.
When I found this originally it wasn't a complete song. I'm so happy I found it again.
